Fantastic Fergal impression. You’ll be on radio 4 talking about how dirty the rivers are next. Nice playing too!
Stiff Little Fingers is one of my all time favorite bands, love the cover, gimme more!!
Bloody brilliant, more please!!!
This is the stuff!! This is what we want !! Spot on !!
These are all great. Really impressed with the tones you got. The saints one especially nailed it!!!
💯
Soundtrack of me youth!!
The Doritos intro!!!
Not a lot of people know that the intro to Holidays in the Sun was actually played on a packet of Doritos.
Amazing ! One of your best videos so far ! (Okay... this may not be objective). I always found punk music from the first wave had incredible bass lines and melodies. Thank you so much for this video.
You should start a Stranglers show
Definitely 😊
Danny in Black.
That's a good idea, tribute band to damnd and stranglers, The Damned Stranglers has a nice ring to it
@@rubberplantsandwich. Or "Strangled Damnny"...😎👯👯
The Undertones debut album is IMO one of the 15 greatest punk albums of all time. And Hypnotized is just as good. Adverts Crossing the Red Sea is a GREAT, underappreciated early punk album. The Saints' (I'm) Stranded is also one of the 15 greatest punk LPs of all time. And Eternally Yours is just as good. Don't sleep on Prehistoric Sounds either. Not as punky but it is really excellent. Damned are great too as are Stranglers. OH YES! SLF Inflammable Material another of the 15 greatest punk albums ever. And Nobody's Heroes, while not as incendiary as their debut, is more melodic and is great!! Was lucky enough to see both the Undertones and SLF on their first tour of America in a tiny out of the way club here in Manhattan NYC. When I bought Inflammable Material and played the first song, Suspect Device on my system I literally jumped out of my chair and screamed YES!!!! It was everything I could want in a punk song.
Thanks for this video. Very enjoyable and your playing is terrific.
If you'd like to read an article I wrote on punk, just google "The Top 15 Punk Albums!"
4 instruments, singing ánd funny editing! Awesome!
Love it Danny. Some of my favourite punk tunes. I've got that Ronnie Biggs single too!
That was awesome!
Grouse. And as a Skip, thanks for including the Saints
Alright! You got the humor and sheer fun in those songs. At my age now I'd probably throw out my back if I tried to thrash about to these "chunes"!
I felt that the video should have focused a bit more on showing the bass but still loved it. The song selections were really good too.
Hell yes!! I'm just sat here jamming for the whole length of the video haha ❤
such a talented man!!! there must be something in that guinness...
Thumbs-up for New Rose
More Punk please. ;-)
Sham 69 'Borstal Breakout', 'Industrial Estate' The Fall, Stranglers 'London Lady' '1977' The Clash would be good
Peaches would be a good one aswell!
yeah, Borstal Breakout....dope Love Sham!! Saw them on their first tour of America and my young punk mind was totally blown.
@@jacprendo He does Peaches on this vid

We all know the best Stranglers 'Punk Era' bassline is Goodbye Toulouse, no questions asked
Buzzcocks- Ever fallen in love
That was ALL brilliant, and the expert use of a packet of Doritos was the best, but I am just so happy you did The Damned and The Stranglers. I fuckin love both bands. 🖤
This is pretty sick
You’ve finally got around to playing some decent tunes 😉
lol.....word
Awesome
THE DORITO BAG LMAO LOVE THAT
Brilliant, enjoyed all of them. Then, I had to hit the subscribe button.....
That was quite nice for some first wave of punk rock ! You should do a version with more modern punk bands too (NoFX, The Offspring, Propagandhi, Rancid, Anti-Flag, A wilhelm scream, Blowfuse, Night birds, Good Riddance, etc.)
My favorite punk bassline to play is Cash, Culture & Violence (Rancid) and it's loouuud as well in the mix
As is every one of Matt Freeman’s bass lines, dude is an absolute beast and it’s awesome
Beautiful. Add in ‘Plastic Surgery’ by the Ants to the list.
Nice n sleazy would of been my choice for the Stranglers number
Innit, what a great bassline
Great bass line but it’s not really the same style as the other songs
2:58 LOL
Cool as! Punk's not (quite) dead!!
No, But I'm Nearly There. 🙂
I am impressed…SLF made the list 🍻
love Gaye Advert's basslines
3:50 BOOOOOOGIIIEE WOOGIE!
The girls and the boys are dancing around
The Jam want their lines/riffs/song back. 😂
I thought go buddy go was a meteors song.... now im confused who covered who haha
Is that drum kit a Sonor or Premier?
You really playing that keyboard ?
👍👍👍🫶
God punk was great, although it last about 5 years then morphed to new wave
Might have known you were a (failed?) guitar player! Nice to see it is possible to be a decent player, even with a severe case of Flying Fingers! 😉
Amazing that when people sing they all sound American. Food for thought...What's with the fake speaking accent? ; )
