Can I just say how emotional, and strong, the BREATH after the last note feels? It is just a chilling sound after the outpour of emotion in the last phrase.
...the fact that after she held that last note for so long, paused, then exhaled out was incredible to me! She is in total control of her instrument and truly masterful!
I love her sublime power, ease and emotion. She is not "in you face" but she pulls you in her performances. She does everything on purpose because she is master in voice control. Her cover of "Caruso" from the same concert is belting lesson and her "You are not from here" is lesson in singing and breath control. She is, until this day, one of those artists who's concert dont have elaborate stage production, dancers, this effect, that effect etc. Very simple amazing shows that I will be honored to visit again in November❤
Lara Fabian is the funniest female vocalist on planet Earth for her time. Your reaction was at me because you acted like you just seen somebody soon and have his voice lol
she gives so much of herself for her audience . She deserve her fan's love. you can see how her fans give love back to her in : "Je t'aime" live in paris 2001
What I appreciate about this performance, by Lara Fabian, of this particular occasion of her singing this song, is it does justice to the words of the song. I first heard this song as it is sung Dimash, but his version just falls 'flat' to me. It did not bring me to the words at all, did not put the words in what I feel is their natural element. Only later did I hear it sung here by Lara Fabian, and her version here does not even sound like the same song as I heard Dimash sing. As I said, his version 'falls flat' to me. So I had no idea it could be a good song to me. Lara Fabian's version here is a whole other world!!!
I love everything about Lara but especially that her technique never feels like the major thing. It's the emotion always that hits me. She can use a scratchy voice or kind of half talking In particular parts sometimes because that's what carries the lyrics best. She also have by nature a warm timbre in her voice that are comfortable for my ears. Just amazing singer. Thanks for sharing ❤
A lovely reaction, Lauren. Special thanks for your technical analysis, which I appreciate. So many things to learn from one vocalist. MOTIVATION, CONSISTENCY and DEDICATION are the keywords to success. Getting inspired by and learning from someone like Lara can only do us good, giving us an opportunity to gage ourselves. We'll done in this reaction. ❤
She is such a vocal tactician, this performance to me is one of the most memorable performances of any artist ever. It's so emotive, I believe every word and feel her deep desperation; it's enthralling. Love your feedback, never heard of chromatics! Thanks for the reaction.
Such a lovely and cute reaction 😍! May I recomend her Caruso cover? The version of the concert may be her best, but I would recomend the David Foster’s concert version, since she is older there and shows a deeper emotion and how well her voice has been kept throught the years.
I have been waiting anxiously since last night's live feed. 🤗 The last note is interesting. Straight tone - vibrato - straight tone. I like that. Usually it is long straight tone with vibrato at end but not returning to straight tone. 😍
First of all just looking at her melts my heart (sexist ?) let alone THE MOST STUNNING BEAUTIFUL FEMALE SINGING 🎤🎶 VOICE I’ve ever heard ❤️❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Portland Oregon USA 🇺🇸
I have a question/request that you may be able to help with due to your training. (Love your vids!) I discovered Fabian about 6 months ago. I am very much NOT the type to fangirl. Just never have been. But her Je Suis Malade from the live From Lara With Love Concert was a complete surprise - a truly jaw-dropping experience for me. And it sent me down the rabbit hole of discovering her other songs/performances. I keep coming back to the seemingly almost comical question: WHY do I like her voice so much? There's just something aboit her timbre that strikes my ear like velvet. I know enough to know she makes constant fabulous choices through every single phrase (my area is writing/poetry, so I recognize a lot of the elements of craft here even if I don't know the specifics for voice.) And art is a matter of taste, I know. To a large degree, it's probably just down to her timbre and resonance just effect my ears and brain in a fortunate way. My mother was a trained singer when young, from arias to barber shop. (She was an amazing contralto basso even from 15 yrs old.) So I respect the art and craft of opera/classical voice. However, I do have more of an affinity for straight tone than heavy vibrato (old celtic singing/chants/choral/folk etc.) Here's my request: Fabian sings an aria here ua-cam.com/video/vnnEyZLGN-E/v-deo.html and I LOVE it. I know many self-styled opera experts on the net (who have no more training than I do) scoff and turn their noses up at it. But would you, as an actual expert, care to listen/do a reaction and maybe help me figure out, finally, why I love her voice so much? 😂 Thanks for your time reading my wall of words. Best wishes to you in your work.
Analysis of her singing is kind of crazy. Just listen to her. No one viewing this could ever achieve her talent. She is able to sing in eleven languages.
Her best years, no doubt. She still has an amazing way of singing but not as powerful (so to speak). I always enjoy watching people react to this concert.
I'm killing two birds with one stone by listening to Lara who I know by heart (she's up there at the top with Celine/Whitney and few other ones), I love her so much...and I'm having an english lesson with Lauren, she speaks so clearly and is so beautiful. Thank you ;). PS: please react to 'Broken vow' or "You're not from here".Merci ;).
This performance is great but I dont think its her best. Please react to Lara Fabian - Youre not from here. The performance are just amazing. And btw, u r so cute. 😅
I dont like Dimash' adagio cover at all. he destroy it. he looks like to Choke and kill the song and overcome himself ,beat the music and uses all his vocal range and potential. full of strain. looks like his dad or mom has died. no need such strain. almost always he focuses on changing high notes to low notes or vise versa and belts with high notes ,seems want to flaunt his vocal range. this is not the art. not good. although his technique is perfect and his ability is amazing , I could name his singing power-lifting singing. Don't confuse the beauty of a music and notes which is blended with a singer voice naturally and you think this beauty is sth related completely to the singer.
In one word I don't hit it off with his voice and act. listening to his songs doesn't kick me. you should enjoy the music and song. no one covered it or sang is alive as good as the original or Lara's live. pure emotions and the best story teller Lara the queen. she has the most beautiful and heavenly voice in the world. Lara's tone of voice is so warm, strong, rich and full, elegant, graceful and glorious alongside the delicate sweet feminine texture and lyric soprano type .her singing is so proportional and emotional . really has unique voice. she never shrills or has bothering voice even at high notes. very round and pleasant voice. I don'y know any other vocalist with this characteristic in his or her voice.(or at least to her level) no doubt that her technique is perfect (overall). she uses low and high notes, belting ,resonance, vibratos, her vocal range.... AS NEEDED not always or not in every song. As you know Dimash is a big fan of Lara and she was (or is) his idol and role- model (as Barbara Streisand is Lara's idol). it's obvious that Dimash and other vocalists have learnt a lot from her especially about singing, technique and transferring emotions, presentation and acting and try to follow her line. (for ex singing in many languages- covering her songs).... she uses her unique beautiful voice and great vocal technique and lingual ability and... to convey emotions and to create art ,not to show off and draw your attention to her power and to show it in singing. so I name her the queen of the emotional art . I think unfortunately Dimash doesn't completely follow her in this way and this is why he is the center of vocal teachers' Consideration- people may pay more attention to his expected or unexpected vocal issues and always say wow more than being attracted to the song because his vocal effects suppresses the soul of song and art and this is why sometimes he looks like to Choke and kill the song and overcome himself ,beat the music and uses all his vocal range and potential (this is just my opinion and Perception of his concerts and this is why I prefer to listen more to Lara Fabian ,Celine Dion, Mariah Carey ... more than him and enjoy the song and the music).
Believe me: she has better performances than this one (singing this same song) Also, she composed thia song in English and in Italian (that is her native language). Sometimes she goes till F5 (chest/mixed voice) at the part (aDAgio) in the end. Also belting an E5 in chest voice at "you won't let GOOOO". Her italian version deserves to be watched. It's higher and emotional.
Thank for analyzing Lara, she is my favorite female singer, the emotion she puts into her performances is what puts her above most others. I'd recommend her Je T'aime - Live Concert ua-cam.com/video/3DSj59tXQys/v-deo.html
She has soooo many songs you must react to- Je suis malade, J" taime, Si tu Maimes (French + English), I am AWA, Parce que tu pars, Madamemoiselle Hyde, lol she also can cover Whitney & Mariah too. Am I a Lara fan? 🤔🙃A bit...great video!!!

Will you please react to Lara Fabian & Mario Frangoulis cover of Cole Porters So in Love from Kiss Me Kate? I would love to see your thoughts. Mario also have an amazing voice and is classically trained and has a beautiful cover of Knights in White Satin in Italian!
When you were talking about opening the mouth, I was wondering if you ever watched Billie Eilish sing, as she seems determined to sing as low as volume as possible much of time (or that's my impression). In fact I had to watch several parts of different performances to determine how capable a singing voice she had, as it was hard to tell. Btw, it's always interesting to see great singers like Lara Fabian perform a song almost ina completely different rhythm, yet just as enjoyable.
Great reaction, thank you. I suggest you react to "Je suis malade", ua-cam.com/video/dVvlmpo5g9k/v-deo.html with french and english subtitles. Listen closely till the end and this crazy 17 sec long last note !

Best Female singer on the planet!
Can I just say how emotional, and strong, the BREATH after the last note feels? It is just a chilling sound after the outpour of emotion in the last phrase.
agreed!
That really did it for me- her breath plus the fact that she appears to not even breathe while belting...effortless transitions
...the fact that after she held that last note for so long, paused, then exhaled out was incredible to me! She is in total control of her instrument and truly masterful!
