The first time I saw her singing Adagio in front of me, I was just 3 meters far from her, i'll remember this time all my life. At the end of the song she had to take few seconds to come back to earth, as she was possessed by something divine.
I'm so jealous!! I understand that is a moment you never forget. Lucky you. But even to see her on you tube is so magic. The most beautiful voice and human ever lived, that's my impression of her.

Though Celine Dion, is a great singer, Lara Fabian is in another category, nothing to be compared to her. She is simply Lara... one of the sweetest and powerful singer
Just discovered Lara and I will be following her from now on. Thank you for leading me to her! To my ear, her performance is much better than that of Dimash.
People say she is Belgium, Italian, Canadian...I think she said it the best: "I am from everywhere". She speaks fluently 4 languages and sings in 12. People usualy know her standard songs, but many dont know her hidden gems that are left to us fans.
She is now able to speak in 7 languages, sings in 12, and she considers Italian as her “mother tongue”. Lara moved with her mom to Italy; specifically, Sicilia at a young age growing up with her Mom & her Grand Momma. She lives in Canada & she has become a naturalized Canadian Citizen. How did the U.S. Music Industry miss out so much of Lara’s career?
“Lara with love” my all time favorite live concert. And please react to her final song from this remarkable concert. It’s called “ Broken Vow” which she wrote the lyrics to and she introduces it by explaining how the inspiration for the song came to her. The song is about betrayal but also about redemption ( forgiveness) and anyone whose heart at one time was broken will relate to this masterpiece of emotionally impactful heartwrencing brilliance. I cry every time I hear this. She is so much into this song that she does something near the end of her performance that I’ve never seen done by a performer ( turns her back ) and you think she’s totally broken but then she.... I won’t spoil it but you MUST react to this-the final song in my favorite concert of all times by any performer!! Al
Thank you so much for this reaction ❤️ Lara Fabian is my favourite vocalist. She wrote the English version of Adagio. I remember Lara as well from the dance music that she wrote way back when. But Lara Fabian singing songs like Adagio, Je Suis Malade, You're Not From Here, Caruso, Broken Vow, that is the Lara Fabian who's voice touches my soul. Even if I don't understand the language that Lara is singing I understand the feelings that are being conveyed. Lara Fabian becomes the character in the song that she is singing. I hope that your next reaction to Lara Fabian is her singing Je Suis Malade from this same concert. You will be moved in ways that you quite possibly have never felt before. And it will be all because of Lara Fabian ♥️ Great reaction, Coach ❤️ Looking forward to more Lara Fabian on your channel ❤️
@Fedor Ivanov thank you so much for the correction. I should have known that. I love Lara Fabian and I try to educate myself on everything that she has done.
That whole show was a treat for the eyes and the ears. Best period for Lara in my book. She’s still awesome nowadays, no question about it, but late 90s/early 2000s, is the best to my ears. She had the perfect balance between power show off and singing technique. Thanks for the reaction though. I always enjoy people’s face dropping when she starts hitting some notes.
She wrote this entire album, also the Spanish songs of the Spanish version of it. This song means a lot for her. She wrote when she was in depression because of the situation with her almost husband at the time. Hee cheated her with a young model, while Lara was at her tour in Canada. Also, Barbra Streinsaf herself called Lara and asked her to record this song, which made Lara even prouder of her great work. Barbra and Lara met each other in 1995, in NYC, her friend David Foster introduced them. Josh Groban also released this song some years after Lara. The performances of "To Love Again" And "Perdere L'amore' are out of this world. Thank you.

I like Dimash, still not a big fun of his, but he has a looong way to go before he can reach, if he ever does, her level of emotivity, sometimes he gives the impression of yelling and it bothers me a lot.

I have a playlist of Lara's performances and can really feel them. She's timeless. Thanks for this wonderful reaction. If you would like to see a really emotional performance by Lara, watch the version of Je T'aime where she is led by the audience singing "On t'aime". This if from a 2001 performance in the Zenith of Paris when 6,000+ fans began singing the song before she got started and sang "On t'aime" whenever she started to say "Je t'aime". There's also a nice duet with Italian singer Laura Pausini performing 'La Solitudine'. You won't regret it!! Not only is she an AMAZING gorgeous singer, but also a multilingual one!!
Adagio is a most extraordinary piece of classical music. The music resonates deeply and profoundly in my soul. I love that several artists have popularized it for those who wouldn't normally listen to classical music! Lara Fabian's version is perhaps the most stunning, the most breathtaking, version I've ever heard. The raw emotion she conveys so perfectly caputers the emotions with which Albinoni infused the score. Another wonderful version is Sarah Brightman's "Anytime Anywhere". It is the music of Adagio with completely different lyrics. Her version is my second favorite of all time. I would love to see you react to this extraordinary performance as well. Your comments are always so insightful and filled with educational music theory and performance critiques. Keep it up!
Great reaction & analysis! If you only knew her dance songs then you are in for so many treats! I agree with the other requests here but I also highly recommend her songs from her Mademoiselle Zhivago concert. Dimash covered several of them. But "Llora" is the one I would love to see first. It will make you feel like you're soaring. Lara is the most amazing singer as well as a brilliant songwriter and an incredible human being. She risked her early career when she wrote "La Différence" in support of marriage equality. And it became a fan favorite song. It won't get requested so it's safe to just go enjoy, there's an official video as well as wonderful concert videos. It's just very special, and when I learned this about her she won my heart and soul completely.
She was born in Etterbeek, Brussels to a Belgian father and a Sicilian mother. Since 1996 she has also held a Canadian passport alongside her original Belgian citizenship.
Lara had the misfortune to be 2 year younger than Céline and with a less able manager... But Lara is my favorite, she doesn't sing, she radiates emotions... Her rendition of "Je Suis Malade" from her concert "From Lara with love" is just too much... You won't care that it's in French! ;) Check out her Caruso performance too! She's an absolute gem.
Arguably, the greatest vocalist and storyteller in musical history. Her concert, From Lara With Love, is arguably the greatest live concert ever recorded and "Adagio" and "Je Suis Malade" are two of the greatest songs ever produced. I use "arguably" a lot because I am certain some will bring up Celine, Streisand and others, but for me, there really is no one else.
Je Suis Malade is another masterpiece by Lara Fabian.

I heard that Celine's manager who became her husband was rich which gave her an advantage.

Hello amazing very perfect singer and live good analysis of song thank you good day all people
Arguably, the greatest vocalist and storyteller in musical history. Her concert, From Lara With Love, is arguably the greatest live concert ever recorded and "Adagio" and "Je Suis Malade"
are two of the greatest songs ever produced. I use "arguably" a lot because I am certain some will bring up Celine, Streisand and others, but for me, there really is no one else.
Es la mejor, te amo lara FABIAN ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
