impossible, when something truly good appears, a million others want to imitate it, without realizing that the path to being this good is always authenticity
I saw y'all yesterday for the first time at So What and man am I glad I did. All of you are so talented and were my absolute favorite performance to watch and music to listen to during yesterday's chilly weather. thank you so much for making it out to sowhat!
This band and Yvette Young, The Real Deal... Be on the lookout for this up-coming great sounding band... Gonna be around for a Long-Time!!!! Luv It!!!!
Jive Miguel It really was incredible, man. Got to meet everyone in both bands, they're all incredibly nice and humble. Makes me appreciate their work even more.
All these "math rock" bands, or prog rock bands without vocals start sounding the same to me.. Regardless of the technique they possess.. No identity? I couldn't sit through a whole show of this. I'd get bored to death!
I like to believe there is such thing as listening too hard to music. Comparing and finding where to compartmentalize every band you may come across is putting a lot of work into whats just meant to be enjoyed. I think the issue with the "identity" thing might be you are looking for bands that have that message or image that you can relate to others with. Aint nothing wrong with that. But yea Id say this kind of music is the stuff you listen to on your way to work in the morning when the sun is just peaking out of the clouds. However, i wouldn't play this in my car with my friends which is what i think you're talking about. it would just kinda be a boring car ride because everyone would feel like they have to sit and listen.
I believe progressive type music is really more for musicians. The only people I think would be interested in the complexion would be us who studies music and think critically when listening to it. Of course, interesting melody and theme is still required, it's just that the changing structure and complexity overshadows it all and makes it inaccessible to most people.
imagine if all music was this good this heartfelt this soulful

that bassist is tight af
I work with him. He's the nicest dude. If you ever see them on tour say hello!
dehydratedH2O That's so cool what do you do?
The track name should be "Sea Dragon" as played by Yvette on EMGtv
My ears enjoyed this very much
This is my favorite track by them.
Amazing people and amazing music, can't get much better than that.
It's very comfortable and best interval sound. Feeling floating. If it possible, I wanna buy the sound source in Japan...
Nice jam! Skills y’all; very enjoyable to my ears. 👍🏻👍🏻
Love this, great work!
So excited for this band.

Love her hair like that❤ looks awesome. Keep rocking Yvette 😉
all 3 of them are amazing and what can anyone say about Yvette really but as a guitarist myself i have to say this...the bassist is OUTSTANDING
Saw them in EP, Tx! They're freaking amazing. I'm inspired to start playing guitar again
Angie Alegre they're coming back here too!!
OH. MY. GAWD. I need more of this in my life.
Beautiful music. Keep at it!
The song is called Sea Dragon.
amazing song!
this is awesome
love u yvette young!
thumbs up for the drum... it looks so quiet easy..... but it's so fucking difficult :D!!
Love it!
reminds me of some the king krimson stuff with robert fripp and adrian beleuw back in the early 80s
I want to know how she keeps the other strings quiet when she's doing all that tapping. I never see her palm mute any strings haha
George Smith fingerpick game strong
amazing
INCREIBLE COVET SUENA GENIAL, EXCELENTE MATHROCK !!
The young always find the willing, great exploring there.
dis be crazy
Gods amongst an earth full of mortals.
probably the most tasteful tempo change I've ever heard
I wonder why she stopped writing songs for 7 strings?
nice !
Wow.
WIN!
♡♡♡♡♡
You know camera crew, the bass player does something cool every now and then too.
Essa bateria é genial, pois eu só conhecia bandas com linhas extremamente repetitivas. Isso é outro nível.
Someone plz tell me what kind of bass (or pickups) that is!
looks like an ernie ball
Indeed; thanks!
why is Transit's vocalist on drums
She looks so different today. This is awesome though
Eargasm °-°
The two people who disliked this.. ??????????????????????????
It has a This Town Needs Guns feel, I like it.
Jive Miguel I saw Covet open for TTNG 😄
Noah Schenck, would love to see either band live. Bet it was a cool show. Both have massive talent.

omg
who's the bassist
David Adamiak
great song but tempo should slow down a bit so it can be absorbed and enjoyed like the intro. but great song writing and playing
+cpgoey Respectfully disagree. The tempo/time changes show movment and progression through the song. Adds texture.
+Nick Becker my opinion just wanted that original grove or a subtle change like Robert fripp would. Great skill and song all the same.
lol man early glimmer is so similar to effloresce.
@5:36 , pushes back chair with hands in the air...."Fuuuuu*#"
vengeance soundpack intro synth
She keeps hitting a really ugly open string and I can't unnotice it.
Ryan Brown haha, you’re not alone
Me too. Nevertheless fantastic performance. I just discovered them a few days on UA-cam and I am awestruck
haha thanks for ruining it, now it's the only thing i can pay attention to
That is called dissonance.
sea dragon! :D
sounds like a sitar
:')
Needs more cowbell.
THIS ISNT BASEMENT
Ya'll need better lighting.
5 people have no soul...
+ashitaka 5 people? where?
+ashitaka don't worry, they don't know how to play
+The MAAQ okay make that 9 now...
I like you lol
amazing..but that guitar tone is terrible
theArchive1O cause she is finger picking on light strings
theArchive1O I think this was early strandberg days, she's come much further :)
