This is really different from the last few song you guys put out.... and i mean different in a good way.... a really good way. The sense of calmness is replaced by the explosion of feelings. Great job guys.
It's a bit different but both this and Currents demand just as much attention, and they are both so stellar. Pelagic is one of the most amazing Math Rock songs I've ever heard, and that song is pretty damn explosive from the get-go.
UA-cam hid this from me for over a year! Great music video! Ares is my absolute favorite Covet song. Sad that they didn't play it back when they were touring in the Spring time. Getting' Frog Wild 22
it sounds different, which can be good, but i feel like it'd be fine dry. it sounds like he's hit the snare and then stopped it straight out with his hand after the beat hits - which he obviously hasn't done
I'm so glad that I subscribed to you guys. I'm fairly new to your music but I can really feel it. Thanks for inspiring me to write again and thanks for releasing all these amazing tunes.
Yvette's music is so simple and unique that I used to think it would never be playable by a band, because is was already so complete played on solo guitar. I was mistaken. She found the exact right bassist and drummer for the style. It creates another view on her (their) music, that is totally different, but as good as the solo work.
Been listening to this song for a while before discovering the video. I gotta say the emotions i felt while listening to the song totaly does not reflect on the video XD This has to be my favourite of all time song. So calming, so technical. Keep up the good work Covet!!
Just started listening to these guys after finding out they were on the Homey tour with Chon. I definitely dig this track more than anything on the Currents EP, which I felt lacked some energy. I'm excited to hear more, and fuck that guitar is cool as shit...
Sonically and visually a wild ride, you guys are great! Love the poly-rhythmic breakdown sections, they remind me of the new AAL, but infused with the vibrancy of mathrock :D
Overall, the bass needs a less muddy, perhaps slightly even over-driven tone, and the drums could use a bit of a tonal adjustment as well, but this band has so much fucking potential holy fuck
im from argentina and covet is one of the my favorite bands,i love their songs, really cool, sorry for my bad english,i love u covet you re fucking awesome
ares is kind of a tragic figure in greek mythology; reviled and mocked by the other gods, and a slave to his own violent obsessions and tendencies. for me, this song captures that whole thing really well
How would you say that it captures it? I'm genuinely curious to know because I like the god and also the song but I didn't expect the song to sound so calm in comparison to the name sake
this just in:

Kunzang Dorje I agree, it certainly demands your attention a lot more than their previous work. I love it!
Their other recordings are nice, but this one had me rockin out. I would love for this band to go in a more groovy and heavy direction.

They saw it coming ling before it happened.
2:17 thanos gauntlets with stones
2:18 thanos snaps
Actually tho
You guys looked like yall had so much fun making this video
It is hard for me to find new and interesting music. I found covet and Yvette, so good!

Did anybody think 'what the fuck is up with that snare sound'?
i did
I need an explanation
You are right...the snare sounds really compressed :/
it sounds different, which can be good, but i feel like it'd be fine dry. it sounds like he's hit the snare and then stopped it straight out with his hand after the beat hits - which he obviously hasn't done
Might be a gate effect
I agree, it's way too compressed. Unfortunately for me, it detracts from the song, it's distracting :(
this song has been my favourite one since I discovered it... I love it
I'm amazed with how talented this band is.. keep up the great work!
This song and music style is exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Love it!!!!
I'll definitely be wearing this song out for months to come. Fantastic.
Who had to clean this shit up?
I'm so glad that I subscribed to you guys. I'm fairly new to your music but I can really feel it. Thanks for inspiring me to write again and thanks for releasing all these amazing tunes.

Covet be like: Who needs a rhythm guitarist when we have Yvette? She's lead, rhythm, and vocals all in one.
LOVED.....1000 PERCENT. I LOVE THIS BAND FOREVER.
I'm fairly new to your music guys but I gotta say this is awesome!
Had no idea there was a music video for this. I’ve been listening by the play through on Yvette’s channel.

Haha good to see Keith having fun! Great band, Keith is a musical machine looks like he's finally found some equals.
What a great new sound! Love hearing all of the influences from Santana, Sublime, and Yes with such a modern touch.
Yvette is a fucking boss level 36 , 3rd transformation. A fucking beast with that mid west emo math rock. Love her as an artist.
This entire video had me smiling like mad!
Love this song!!!
Sonically and visually a wild ride, you guys are great! Love the poly-rhythmic breakdown sections, they remind me of the new AAL, but infused with the vibrancy of mathrock :D
What an adventure this song is.

I love the bass line !

Love it! So sick.
I already started to listen to one album but I think they've won me over more with the homer and garfield at the end
I love it!!
Overall, the bass needs a less muddy, perhaps slightly even over-driven tone, and the drums could use a bit of a tonal adjustment as well, but this band has so much fucking potential holy fuck
Cool!
