What blows my mind is almost every thread on UA-cam or Reddit talks about this so you know they’ve heard this and they STILL don’t do it. Even Iowa fans say this. Peak stubbornness and not having the humility to admit that you’re wrong.
As a stong 215 pounder in highschool. I would be better at the beginning of my season rather the end when it counted. This was mainly due to loss of muscle during the season due to no lifting and so much cardio. I think what this video said was spot on. The bigger guys need to train differently than smaller. I think bigger guys should be lifting throughout the season in a calculated manir that doesn't inpair performance too much. Even once a week on key lifts can be very beneficial.
When I was fighting my strength coach told me ‘the most dangerous person to a motivated athlete is himself’. Meaning. You have to have oversight. Someone that can tell when maybe you look slow and stiff a day and then pull you back a bit. And vice versa. Because without that oversight I would overtrain myself to sickness. Every time.
Hey ik u where injured, rn i just got knee surgery and cant put any weight on my right leg for like at least a month. What did u do for the rest of your body while you where recovering?
Lone the quote...if you're the smartest person in the room, find a different room . As far as weight training the coach also works with football players but wrestlers use different muscles and strengths. 🤔
Iowa should implement these tips so their wrestlers aren’t in full body casts by the time the NCAA Tournament rolls around😂
You would think they would have already😂

I kept up with a weight plan, that’s better for DL trainings to answer!
