I’ve bought maps from the marketplace and I never once felt like it wasn’t worth it. I think a cool feature for the pass would be the ability to swap out maps at the user’s discretion. It would make the subscription customizable and be a better value long term.
Ive tried maps in the past I didn't like after like 30 mins or so. I would just like to see them continue to expand the number of items in the pass, maybe eventually the whole marketplace.

Interesting. Two questions… 1) is this like Realms where if you drop the marketplace pass you lose access to the maps, etc you downloaded? And 2) does this include any of the new add ons?
It does act like realms+ in that regard if I'm not mistaken.
No add-ons yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they included them once there is more variety available.

Just like any other subscription service, when you stop paying the subscription fee, you lose access to the subscription content.

Realms Plus is the same content, just including a realm.

This video definitely got me to seriously consider signing up. I just purchased an add-on for the Portals, so I know I'm willing to pay for content and the model is the same as Google's Play Pass which I have and use. Good video!

When I got it it took a long time to load so I went off to play another game when I went back on it didn’t seem like anything changed
What I wish they had was some kind of a way to make a family plan with gamertags and plans like this. Because the issue with this is each of the kids has their own gamertag, so that they can each play on the different consoles in the house at the same time and with each other. My wife only needs to have one xbox game pass, or ps plus subscription for the console, then any user on that console can access online game play features, so it would be nice to see Mojang make a family plan for this. Because as of right now, if we got it, and added it to say my daughter's account, the only way either of the other kids would be able to access the content would be for them to be logged in as her. But if she is playing in her room on the ps4 with friends, the boys wouldn't be able to do their own thing. Idk how they would implement this but it would be a good idea.

question when am I going to use 150+ marketplace items I can only use 1 skin 1 world and 1 texture pack at a time so what am I going to do with the other 147+ market place items
Ummmm you know you can play more than 1 world right? Like you could find one fun for several hours or days, then try another one... maybe you want to try out different skins... maybe you want to see your builds in different texture packs...
To emphasise my point a little the pass is 3.99 a month and if I got to the store right now and sort by newest

so for this to be worth the money I would have to use 1 world and 1 new skin pack or 1 new texture pack EVERY MONTH just to make it cheaper than just buying them from the market place definitely not worth it IMO
@@Prowl8413 The fact is most people who play Minecraft don't start a new world every month and that's also assuming that you only play the worlds from the store and not any existing worlds like a long term survival world or hard core or any other self imposed challenges that don't require Market place content or servers or any other game that's not Minecraft

@nintendoswitchbrit4201 I think you miss the point of these worlds... many of them aren't intended to be a long-term survival experience... watch the background footage of the video, one is this fun zombie killing mini-game and another a huge parkour map, another a city planner/builder. These are fun built-in games inside of Minecraft. Most people have fun playing them for several hours as a break from survival minecraft play.
Thanks for sharing this with us! I definitely will be subscribing because there are some texture packs that I would love to try not to mention other add-ons that I couldn't afford before.

Would have love to have seen some of the official mash up packs in there like Universal Studios, Avatar Last Airbender, Angry Birds, Disney World, Nightmare Before Christmas, etc. Feels they cheaped out by not giving us any of the licensed premium offerings. Just my two cents. I wouldn't pay for it as a subscription personally.
Question. If i get the pass on mobile ios and i download a map or skin or texture. Can my brother or friend that doesn't have the pass join me or do they need to have a their own pass to join me?

well they are horrible at quallity control went and tried the Random loot add-on its cool just dont get shulkers and put anything inside casue poof it goes and you get a block and all ya stuff is gone. the quality control on the addons and the dynamic worlds are below average mcpedl had better support with their free addons then anything on the marketplace currently. they should atleast have a report issue option buying something then having to spend the next day to track down the creator and find a way to contact them and report a issues is stupid they need better quality control no to mention that i'd say about 99% of the stuff released it just copy pasted & converted from java addons from 2014 and was free of charge and had free support now you buy somthing and you get less supprot when issues happen.. basically save ya $ get java and 99% is already on there working and free with no monthly charges ..
also you use to be able to mod console until they block the folder so its possible they just greedy corporations that's all lets be honest and not try to suga coat it

10:08 "The web is not that great of a place to get skins" what are you even talking about?? there are hundreds of thousands of skins online! and you can edit all of them easily. Out of the four skins on the marketplace, you are stuck with it exactly how it comes. You know this and you're lying to your audience.
I dont have a problem with this. I see what Mojang are doing though. I wont be getting this for the simple fact that I doubt the new addons will be added to the pass. (The reason i believe this, is if you lose the subscription, you lose the content unless you bought it. Which i dont think mojang could guarantee it wouldn't mess up whatever world it was added to, if you didnt have the content in it anymore. Unless im wrong it couldnt get uninstalled if its a subscription running out reason. The only type of marketplace things I enjoyed were the textures cause you can use it in your own world. (Not a fan of crazy fancy skins) Mojang I believe knows there are gonna be players like me now, who only care about the addons. And this is their way of making the regular marketplace stuff more appealing compaired to the addons. So this wont be for me. But I'm also not a toxic fan that says "you play my way, or you're wrong!" If people are interested, good for them!
If you pay attention to the content in the background as he scrolls there is add ons so idk how that works but it includes add ons

Like, you’re atleast skipping multiple negative stuff like the lack of quality control, creators copying each other, and just the simple fact that it is a obvious cash grab….
“The market place is optional” is kinda a dumb statement considering that on Java you can mod freely, but on bedrock they do basically whatever they can to force you to use the marketplace…
I've talked good about the marketplace for years, and they sponsored me for Minecraft Legends and I relentlessly spoke bad about that game because I think it deserves it.
@@Prowl8413 What I don’t see is; what’s good with the marketplace, I only see cons of it.
@Mavve69 1) Safe to download content, free of adware/mallard unlike sites such as mcpedl. 2) Gives modders the ability to earn money from their sometimes hundreds of hours from several people to produce the content. 3) Is able to be played on console, as console content is required to be curated by the different console companies, and cannot be downloaded from 3rd party sites. 4) Gives an easy to get and use central location for people who want things to be as simple as possible. 5) Can help the company fund future projects and updates and content for the game. 6) The pass is a good value. You have only $4 give people access to tons of content they will enjoy, leading to them doing and enjoying more in Minecraft, for less money than they did before this came out.
I think Mojang needs to do better at #5... and the marketplace pass is the perfect avenue. Instead of charging $6 per addon, instead charge $4 per month for tons of addons. It's the first step in hopefully seeing much more, if not all of the marketplace be available here.
@@Prowl8413 Well, sure, it is free from malware and all that stuff (which is a massive pro) but then there’s the fact that the quality control is lackluster at best and refund just doesn’t exist.
Then there’s also the fact that they didn’t have to make it into a cash grab, they could’ve made it be like curseforge where everything is free (and mostly is higher quality even!), but I understand they wanna make cash..
until they get quality control fixed I don’t think they deserve to charge anything. The amount if copying, false advertising or just generally bad products I’ve seen on the marketplace is ridiculous.
Bedrock edition is just mojang’s cash grab filled to the brim with micro transactions.
I wouldn’t recommend buying anything on bedrock edition unless it’s your only option, modding (or downloading worlds) on Java is free and a lot of the times better.

I don't use the marketplace... I think it's a waste to buy a single map for $5 that I may or may not even like..
$3.99 to get to try dozens of maps and hundreds of total bits of content? Thats an easy one for me. I know my kids will easily get the $4/month out of it.

They never made that change, they tried it in a separate expermental feature like 9 months ago then never said anything about it again.
Prowl approved is good enough for me thanks prowl I'll get it for my kid on her Nintendo switch and if I like it and will play more minecraft with my kid then I'll get it on my own Nintendo switch if it was not PROWL APPROVED I wouldn't get it for either of us I know if it's PROWL APPROVED it means a lot I completely trust prowl
