Good video and instructions. The original chain sure looked nice with the black side plates. Never seen that front sprocket tool before. I will also be getting a dirt tricks front sprocket washer for my KTM (not sure of orange or black) as I learned about them a few weeks ago. They are supposed to never lose their tension unlike the stock OEM washer.
I think the key words are "worn chain" or "worn out chain." You're going to find that a chain that's not that old will show "worn" on that slide tool. Doesn't' mean you need to buy a new chain. That chain you took off could probably go another 2,000 miles. Hard rides on stock KTM chains go 250 hours very easily. Nic vid regardless. Never use "Loctite"- the guy that owns the company pays to shut down riding trails, just FYI. Use any other thread locker if you like riding trails.
Taco moto chain tool I thought I have heard it all already. City slicker. man I never use all that fancy stuff. All my money goes into the gas tank and knobby every month. I thought I was high tech ahead of everybody with my metric crescend wrench with built it ratchet. That bike looks brand new. nice bike.
I might have missed it, what replacement chain did you go with? I have about 750 miles, mostly dirt, on my chain and I’m looking for a replacement. Thanks!
Yes, mine was getting worn at around 750 to 800 miles. Sounds about right. I went with a KTM/Husky part mainly because it was a sealed chain and it was blue. Any o or z ring chain would work well. Let me know what you go with!

I second this on the comment about the Loctite company. They fund organizations that try to ban us from riding trails.

Meh I put a little over 400 hours on my chains I buy the gold ones and as soon as they turn silver and loose colour that’s when I’ll swap everything
