I started making these and I always wondered about this. But I use exotics so I’m afraid of messing them up. What I do is modify each pattern for each exotic hide. Each hide has its tendency to stretch more or less than others. Beautiful work! This actually inspired me to do it.
We've tossed it around a bunch, haven't cracked it with a bat though. I think it would hold up pretty well, but maybe a great idea or a follow up video

We did end up soaking the ball after and heating with a heat gun. Did just that!

We have no plans to sell these, just offering a free template for people to make them at home

Being a baseball pitcher, this was extremely satisfying. Those seams looked jacked up to break off a nice curve. Have you played catch with it?
