I found out about how the hole spacing changes on a radius when I recovered my shift knob in my car. That ended up being more difficult than you might think. Nice job on the baseballs.
New to leather but experienced in sewing. What thread/punch tools are used? Is there a certain number or size of them? Came across your Etsy pattern and led me to your UA-cam vid. Thx!
Your thread is too thin use a thicker thread and your panels will be fine no more ripped stitch holes ❤ and lovely job keep it coming baby Edit I recommend using a thick flat thread it will not rip
It made me sad that you threw the panel away (unless that comment was just for dramatic effect). There are plenty of smaller things you could have made with it! I use all my scraps, even the smallest. I make leather beads out of any scraps larger than 1cm square.

What a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Beautiful baseball.
You can also use a seam ripper (used in sewing) to cut the thread rather than cutting into the leather to cut the thread.
Excellent video! Can you please include a link to the cutting/hole punching tools you used?

Great job none the less, also if you’re going to throw that shell away I’ll buy it or pay shipping for it!

Nice!
Thicker thread, I would have done an .8 at the minimum

I did end up keeping it. I think at the time I was just frustrated, but you are right, lots to be made out of the little stuff
