    Everyone, calm down. Yes, I chose the wrong music. There are people who like it, but I also agree that music choices are wrong at this time. Also, the focus of the camera in this video is terrible. I'm sorry I hurt your eyes. But I'd like to say that I've been working hard for two years. In my recent video, these things have improved, so check it out please. Feel free to give me feedback if you have any advice or things you don't like on my video! I would be so grateful. Thank you! So , don’t listen to our complaints ,,, we are all just jealous , so we talk crap about anything we can, main focus, the baseball , amazing , how do we say we are jealous of ur success , we don’t we just make fun of the music :) we are elementary sorry, bottom line we might cry but we watch, sometimes more than once :). when I was a kid (no making fun. it was the 70's and it's what we had.) we'd look for old baseballs and golf balls.
    we'd get what we find and use a hacksaw to cut the coverings off to get the hard rubber core out of center to
    play with like a superball. golf balls were the best. once you pulled the cover back and you cut just a little of the
    rubber strips that wrapped the ball up it would come alive. it's wrapped so tight that the ball just starts spinning
    and bouncing on its own. the sound the rubber made as it unwound was really weird.

      I’m with ya brother. There was a rumor that some of the cores were filled with acid so you had to be careful cutting. I was impatient one day and cut into one by accident, and the liquid did spray out into my eye. It wasn’t acid.

    • @jyesucevitz
      @jyesucevitz 2 роки тому +5

      @@andrewmyers7131 never found anything like that. just rubber core. Watching them spin violently as the windings let go was my favorite.
      don't get me started about trying to get the magnet off an old broken speaker.
      Dad: "in bill burr's dad's voice of course. Ah, look at this will ya!? I told you Helen to stop putting your flower vase on my speaker! Jimmy go throw this in the pit behind the school.
      yeah, right where we put the old garbage disposal.
      Me: OK. be back when the streets lights come on.
      90min to get the magnet out. endless hours of fun at sears after putting it moms purse. make her show me all the tv's while
      the sales clerk is going crazy trying figure out why every TV set she walked by the screen would warbled and then be fine.
      until I asked her to show me that tv set again.
      I do miss it sometimes. not the magnet. definitely mom for sure, but those times. cheers guys.

    I and some of my friends or acquaintances make saddles or bridles for horses. They take longer, they're a lot more work, and they are very beautiful and useful. The bridles start at around $150 and go up from there.
    Are there really a lot of folks who will pay $100 for one little baseball ? I'm just surprised...for that much money and so little leather you'd think they would want a higher quality interior and real waxed linen stitching.

    • @Humanbean1100
      @Humanbean1100 2 роки тому +2

      how are bridles not starting at like 300 is my question

    • @arielporte4149
      @arielporte4149 2 роки тому +3

      @@Humanbean1100
      I am happy to answer that ; some western bridles are only one strap with one buckle adjuster for length, they may not have tooling, and may fasten at the bit holder with leather straps inserted thru holes. You are correct that some bridles involve additional brow bands, cheek straps, nose bands, tooling, braiding, metal work, etc. I said that they start at $150 for a basic bridle. Also the type(s) of leather used can be a factor as well in the cost. I think the baseball is quite nice I just wondered if a higher quality interior would add to it's value.

    • @TheJackOfFools
      @TheJackOfFools 2 роки тому

      @@arielporte4149 I mean, honestly I don't see this as a value add. This whole project is just a "neat" thing, but def not worth $100. Adding a more expensive core wouldn't make it more valuable, just raise the cost of construction. Nobody would play with a ball this expensive and I don't personally know anyone who would want to pay $100 to display some random leather project just because it was a baseball.

    Just for curiosity sake, how many hours from start to finish? The stitching alone, would suggest that $100 would mean you would make less than $5 an hour making that ball. Not a very good return on your investment, but it is a novel ball.

    This guys does great leather work for sure but one question, why not use the old cover as a templet? Iron it flat and it should be perfect. I don’t get that step.
