San Francisco Cable Car Museum 2/2

The eight-foot flywheels that power San Francisco's cable car system. Each cable is a continuous loop, running at 9.5 miles per hour, and each cable runs a different line, identified with signs. The smell of hot steel and oil is pleasantly pervasive. You can see the huge service garage and car barn as well.
