Entwined: Elder Mother, an LED art installation on the JFK Promenade in San Francisco's Golden Gate park. Someone just happened to be playing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata on the guitar. It was just magical. The fire effect at the end, especially. Sorry for the wind noise; it's just intermittent.

The eight-foot flywheels that power San Francisco's cable car system. Each cable is a continuous loop, running at 9.5 miles per hour, and each cable runs a different line, identified with signs. The smell of hot steel and oil is pleasantly pervasive. You can see the huge service garage and car barn as well.

It lasted about half an hour and dumped an inch of rain. It was very localized, too - just 3 miles away there was very little rain.

Loved Happy Days when I was a kid in the 70's and Fonz was always a highlight, but it wasn't until I caught it in reruns when I was older that I learned to appreciate the silent and serious Season 1 Fonz in the windbreaker more than the super hero version of the character he became over the years.

This was a really great moment that might have gone unnoticed by some younger people. By the way, Ron Howard is the narrator for this series, and Ron Howard's daughter also had a role in this show. Ron Howard and Henry Winkler have remained great friends throughout the years.
