Also Alienware should make it easy to reduce the refresh rate from 240hz to 60hz to preserve battery life.
I thought they used the power efficient ultra 7 or 9 chips which means battery life should be improved.
It's slightly improved, however since it's a gaming laptop gpu will suck all power juce at no time.

i have my alienware m16 r2 ultra 9 but is always hot. even with a light daily use, what can i do?
Have you tried to contact manufacturer as your unit still should be under warranty, could be defective cooling system
