A thought I had is that William is a grown up changeling. He mentioned that he did not know what he was until he he was told and that could be after he saw the photo in the gallery.
This is one of the few shows that my heart & soul is SO invested in. It's the perfect escape and I'm so excited to see what happens. Definitely will be reading the book just not sure if I should do it right now or wait until the series is over.
True this a crazy show
Not to mention how Emma “glided down” the alley after she ditched the phone
That part
Right? I thought it was my imagination or maybe just a trick of the light b/c she isn’t gliding when the camera returns to focusing on her. I’ll have to watch again now.
If her third wish was to become a witch she must have wanted to be one for a specific reason. What has she done since she has become a witch? She wanted to become a witch so she could "glide down" the alley? Does that make sense to you? She didn't float down the fire escape, and she didn't glide down the alley.
@@mikejones-wy5hv wasn’t talkin about the wishes, but was talkin about observations. Can’t help it if you didn’t see what I saw on my screen 📺🫣
I love your insight about the quote: "They bathe it at dusk. They hide it with guile. At home in the forest, forever lost in the wild" that could describe a changling, but could also describe a hidden child (Brian). Great breakdown!
I think it's clearly the child after it is taken.
What about those people living in the subway? Wtf were they???? And how on earth did they escape those two cops on a grocery store buggy??????
Yeah that was hilarious....that thing was going so slow, even I can run faster. I know American cops dont have the best reputation when it comes to being in shape and efficent but that was to much bs 😅 The underground living community was probably just put into the episode for a little woketard push..."Oh look at our circus like commie comunity were we embrace even the nuttiest things with no judgement...we are soooo great". Its also weird how afraid Cal is that someone could know about the Island but then she often highlights that its impossibile to find it anyway, so why is she scared someone could come over...."it takes a God to find it" right? 🙄
::sparkle:: Glamour. ::sparkle:: (or more simply, maybe they became a meal for some of the creatures living down there). When Wheels mentions that it is hot enough down there to “cook a nice rare steak” it made my skin crawl.
@@_TinyTitan right
I didn't realize how much I missed the 'Daddy loved you very much' line until this video!😂
I think Emma is the blue fairy that throughout fairytales and folklore saves children one way or another
Um... You got wrong about "witches cannot swim" statement. it's the opposite: to find out if the woman was guilty of witchcraft she was bond and thrown to river or other large body of water. If she drowned she's innocent. If she swims back up she's a witch. Emma didn't drown. She is the witch 👁️
What has Emma done that convinces you she is a witch?
@@mikejones-wy5hv it just all makes sense that she is a witch, from her trip in the beginning to what her friend says at the restaurant to the photographer and the owner of the gallery who is staring and orders the print, to Cal saying to Apollo that they are ALL witches. ❤
Not all witches are bad ✨
@@ChantalIRL Her trip in the beginning was an adventurous trip she was inspired to take after seeing the movie Quilombo. How does Emma look like a sorceress in the photo before her wishes are granted? Emma wanted to take a nude photo but did not want to show everything, so her hair is covering her breast, and her hand is covering her private parts. If sorceress was never mentioned, would you have come to that conclusion after the photo was shown? Also, what magical things has she done since she has become a witch? It's the first time the art gallery owner sees his latest addition to his gallery why is it so strange that he is staring at it? Cal is a witch and the women who beat down William are witches but the other women on the island are women who had their babies switched with changelings.
Exactly 💯
I was thinking appollo might be a witch also because how he was able to find the island I’m glad u thought that too
This episode was much improved over last weeks. Looking forward to what happens next week.
The tea kettle could have also been a baptism. Prior to this, Emma wanted to baptize the baby and was seen pouring the water in the kettle. Beyond that, Emma was thrown into the water by her sister. This could have also been Emma's baptism.
If this ends up being the case for the changling then it gives a whole new meaning to “baptism by fire.” 😨
@@_TinyTitan100% and if you think about it, the wise ones also “baptized” Apollo when they drowned him on the island.
Daddy loves you very much is back!!!
"When you believe in things that you dont understand, then you suffer" is a line from a famous Stevie Wonder song, Superstition.
thought I was the only one that caught that immediately.
When you believe in things
That you don't understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition aint the way
-Stevie Wonder Superstition
The part about the quote on the wall is actually part of Stevie wonder song superstition. Which superstition mean not believing in supernatural being
Too much mystery we need answers 😂 i just hope they don’t make the same mistake as FROM we need asnwers
What happened with FROM? I’m interested to start it because premise was interesting
@@bendover04me Too many questions and mystery and very few answers so far in the show.
@@Exxperiment626 That is what makes FROM so good. It is slowly unfolding. Answers are not easily delivered. You are forced to think.
@@bendover04me Trust me, watch FROM. It currently has two seasons. The actors’ and writers’ strike has delayed season three.
@@patrickfalls6819 I’m all for mystery and slow burn if it’s good. I saw invasion but gave up on episode 5.
The "When you believe in things you don't understand" graffiti is lyrics from the Stevie Wonder song Superstition.
We love you too ❤
The line "when you believe in things you don't understand, then you suffer" is from the Stevie Wonder song, "Superstitious."
When you believe in things you don't understand; you have faith
William turned into Mr. Gone from The Maxx.
If the babies don't come back anyways and they gotta spend the rest of their lives on some hidden island what was the point of killing the changeling?
I said the same thing
@@ashelywebb5612 I am a bit skeptical about the witches. Seems they tell white lies . I wonder if the witches had some deal with the fairies where they get power but one of their children gets replaced.
Does the same actor that plays the homeless man in the library in episode 1 also play Apollo’s mother’s boss at the law firm ?
When you believe in things you don’t understand you will suffer is a line for Stevie Wonders Superstition song
The mystery was good at the beginning, but its become too much. An entire season with just mystery everywhere is overwhelming
Idk why Emma is still looking for Brian. Surely the fairies ate him already? What makes Emma so different from all the other women living on the island that have lost their babies and never saw the baby again? Why should she be able to find her baby despite not a single other woman getting theirs back?
Don’t be so sure 😉
Fairies tend to be known as tricky with their words. This is emphasized in the show. And when it comes to the fairytale poems, I’m noticing some contradictions. In the book it seems to insinuate that they eat babies, but then it also seems to say they covet them. Then Emma’s verbal poem about fairies holding the babies close also seems to suggest they don’t eat them. So kind of like that underground community, I’m getting the impression the show’s universe has a similar variety of fae.
When I say “in the book” I mean the in-show ‘waters & wilds’ one, not the Changling book. I haven’t read that. ;D
I think the fairies just kidnap them. I don’t believe they eat them. Maybe there is some other evil out there the fairies are trying to protect the babies from it. Hints whatever William is…idk but I really feel like Brian is still very much alive be and so are they other children.
There's a book?? Yes please
1rst of all Kim knows more than anything and I knew something wasn't right about Will it's suspenseful I love this show
Daddy loves us very much again!!!!
Um…didn’t Emma leave the bag of books in the library? She didn’t have it when fleeing the cops.😳🤔👴🏽
Sa Apollo father a Fairy or Troll?
Wait! Didn't she kill baby Brian? Why would she look for him?
Miracles happen everytimeshe thinks of brian
Is it fair to say, this show connects ties to norway to fromland? If so is it fair or possible the show FROM has ties to fromland to norway also via people arriving in boats😂, no yrs meh maybe I'm reaching 😂
After hearing "I the God Apollo",
Then you conclude that he's a witch 🤦
This show keeps disappointing me I hate when it’s too much mystery that we can’t keep up with the storyline it seems like a jumbled story that is mixed with real life and folk lore it reminds me of lisey story these kind of shows are better off left as books the visuals are always cool but the plot is lackluster bc it doesn’t make sense until maybe the end
Agreed!!
I feel you. I have to watch the UA-cam breakdowns just to keep up
@@coreyano yes that’s why I love @thinkstory
What you are noticing is called a slice-of-life genre mixed with historical fiction. I only mention this b/c the beauty in these 2 genres is that you don’t have to know or keep track of the bits & bobs that are grounded in real-life to enjoy the story. It’s of course there for those that are interested but the knowledge isn’t necessarily needed to get the plot. ThinkStory digs in and shares w/ us those extra layers & eastereggs, along with his theories and speculations, but don’t get weighed down by it all. You aren’t missing out by just enjoying the show at face value. ❤️
@@_TinyTitan I understand that but that’s what makes me not enjoy it I don’t understand it it’s all questions what was the third wish what was in the suitcase is the man a fairy how did he heal how did the baby die we keep getting episodes with no answers
Daddy's home
When you belive in things you don't understand is from Superstition by Stevie Wonder
I stopped on the episode. It’s convoluted with lots of continuity errors. It’s taking me out the immersion. It’s like invasion.
I stopped watching Invasion after S2.1. It was trying way too hard to be Stranger Things.
I have read the spoilers of the story from the book and if that is the way they are going with here (and it seems that way) everything is amazingly stupid and a complete let down. Brace yourselves
Is Brian dead ? Or no?
@@tiffanysgottimetoday4589 no, he is alive
Feel like I'm wasting my time after every episode.. very unnecessarily convoluted plot structure
.
The plot keeps getting so convoluted but in a really really bad forced way.
First comment
Nobody cares...grow up and use your comment to say something because you wont get a cookie for being first kiddo.
this episode does it for me.. wasted enough time watching this shit
This show getting poo now. The 1st 4-5 episodes were good but it's dying as fast as Servant did.......
This was such a weird and ugly show. It is so tacky and it lacks imagination. I think the writers try too hard to be poetic and philosophical but all we get is a slow burn of a plot which at the end makes no sense at all.
Show is trash
❤️😂 The way I just SCREECHED. 🤣☠️ Started at a fist pump on the 3rd wish & then escalated at your endcredits callback. 🫶🏽 We love you too, ThinkStory. 😘
On my second watch through I noticed the rope hanging down from the boat actually has 3 knots in it. You can briefly see them before she goes into her flashbacks of Apollo, but they are soo hard to spot. Especially the first knot because it isn’t as close together to the bottom two.
