as a muslim in malaysia, always love to see guys exposing non halal places around malaysia. go for it. i love to see all the varieties of food prepared by malaysian at every corner.. YUMMY!!!!
when i was a little boy in the 70's, i love having tau fu fah by the cart... uncle sells soya drinks and pau, mamak sells cendol and rojak, acik sells tebu , nasi lemak bungkus and karipap... besttt
BKT is the best ... only in Malaysia and I'm not talking about the pepper soup style from SG. Best BKT is in Kepong .. the one in the michelin recommendation ... from 1 small stall to 3 stalls..
@@foongjunemeng8935 the kepong 1 is the worst for me, if sg style can't claim as bkt, so does kepong style. it's totally different from the authentic klang taste
@@foongjunemeng8935 i understand everyone has own preference, but i saw a lot of ppl condemn sg bkt and recommend the kepong michelin bkt, i was like hmmm... both aren't authentic too. I don't mean you condemn sg version, i meant i saw a lot others of such comments.
You're truly different from all the other Western food vloggers I've come across. I really appreciate how you feature the diverse cuisines from different cultures, especially Malaysian Chinese cuisine. Since Malaysia is formed by three major races-Malay, Chinese, and Indian-it’s refreshing to see someone give equal attention to each. As a Malaysian Chinese, it’s frustrating when Western content creators visit Malaysia and focus solely on Malay cuisine, often overlooking the incredible variety of Chinese dishes that are rich in flavor and unique to our culture. Malaysian Chinese food is distinct from the traditional dishes found in China or Taiwan, having evolved with influences from Malay and Indian spices. Nyonya cuisine, for instance, is an amazing fusion that rarely gets the recognition it deserves. That’s why your content stands out. You give Malaysian Chinese cuisine the exposure it rarely gets from other Western vloggers. Keep up the great work! Hope you continue to enjoy our diverse foods.
even for Malay food, they usually only went for typical Malay food such as Nasi Lemak, Nasi Goreng, Nasi Lemak, Satay, and Nasi Lemak. There's a lot of Malay food other than Nasi Lemak. There are Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu, Ikan SInggang, Patin Tempoyak, Sup Daging, Kailan Ikan Masin, Pajeri Nenas, Nasi Tumpang, Laksam and many more. And Borneo foods also pretty underrated as well. I hope they'll explore more Malaysian foods instead of trying the typical Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, Char Kuey Teow and Jalan Alor street foods (it's always Jalan Alor 🤦)
A lot of my regular stalls I go to till today is in the list . Cool. There is still a lot of dishes you have yet to try .. I dont see the Ramly Burger , Bak Kut Teh The Laksa ( Asam or Curry ) , Satay , Nasi Kanda. etc etc . Sorry to say but when I go Overseas and try their food . I still think Malaysian cuisine is the best . Incomparable.
Max you’re a genius love your food shows more than anyone’s - I wish a was riding along with you guys this tour, amazing food - cheers from your once home in Sydney - andiamo fratello, saluti 🍻🇦🇺🇮🇹 👌
For the foreign viewers, you can mix the salted fish in the clay pot. With the heat, it is easier to mix everything in and the salted fish flavour will be more balanced
Wow, I'm really impressed. You're hiting all the places that only a local would know and appreciate! Also really like how you go out of your way to be polite and respectful to the chefs and operators. Bravo, I truly wish you all the best and a very successful career ahead as a food blogger. Looking forward to lots of new content from you!
You really good at "jalan-jalan cari makan". I hope you'll try more of Malay and Indian stall next cus i noticed there's lack of their stalls in this video👍
You’re incredible!!! U hit all the locals’ spots!!! Btw, how’d u know so many Malay words? ☺️☺️ BTW, there’s this Ali Food Corner with a different style fried chicken + Nasi Lemak just around the corner from Nasi Lemak Bumbung… in my humble opinion, it’s even better than the Bumbung fried chicken
Roti John shouldn't be on the best list vs burger and pizza choice. What steamboat buffet, bak kut teh & Chinese G Chow (stir fried dishes in wok), goes with rice & steam soup varieties ingredients, not in the list.
Thanks. You are one of the most correct foodie about Kuala Lumpur. Some idiot Euro tourists come to KL and introduce about Malay and Indian foods. Kuala Lumpur is multicultural. And some of the best foods are local Chinese foods. And very different from Chinese food in China. The taste of KL is very different. Some of the best in the world.
