How much does CorrectTheRecord pay these days to pretend a blowjob was the only crime of William Jefferson Clinton? I guess launching missiles at random targets in Iraq despite being denied airspace approval by three allied nations in 1998 as a precisely timed distraction from his court case was a harmless way to kill 1400 people. Oh and helping move jobs out of America, increasing the rate of arrest and imprisonment, and signing off on men being released from freedom based on the size of the donation from their political group. All worth ignoring, don't read books people just make a blow job joke, have a beer and go back to sleep. Or when he used death as a distraction yet again after pushing for the execution of Ricky Ray Rector, a man who literally had half a brain and was no longer fit for trial but executed regardless.

His lurid affairs with lewinsky are all anyone cares about. I am no clinton supporter, either of them. NAFTA was a dirty rotten thing to push through and I hope he gets testicular cancer for it...but firing missiles at those savages in the middle east? Who gives a fuck, death and destruction is all those people have ever known, those people haven't been able to stop killing each other or anyone else they could get their wretched hands on since they appeared.
Donations for getting political prisoners released? That's a symptom of much deeper systemic corruption. If you think that sort of thing is limited to clinton you must have a fixation on his family.
I literally give zero fucks about that prisoner, unless he was convicted wrongly. Did this brain damage happen before or after? You get no sympathy from me if you suffer after committing a crime worthy of consideration for execution.

    • @AMpufnstuf
      @AMpufnstuf 8 років тому +33

tremedar You're looking at it the wrong way. If they deserved to die then you follow a process and you pick targets with minimal civilian murders on a day of maximum damage to the perceived enemy. Not random missiles to change the front page of the newspapers. I wouldn't condone that behavior even if it killed much worse men, the protocol exists because we like to pretend democracy still exists. It might if we could regulate those at the top somehow. Or remove them.

@@alg3rn0n73 there are more "liberal" media outlets than conservative (in terms of left-leaning or moderate editors, journalists, etc.), but they are far less influential than Fox news - who is consistently number 1 in total viewership.
In fact, a 2014 report from University of Indiana ('The American Journalist in the Digital Age') found that more journalists identified as political independents (50% vs 28% Dem, or 7% Republican).
I think a bigger issue right now is that Republicans constantly feel like victims under siege and label anything that doesn't jive with their beliefs as "liberal" - which is meant as a pejorative.
Media attention is primarily focused on the extremes. They make money by making mountains out of mole hills. Regardless of the ineffective "liberal media" the majority of America is somewhere in the middle of the political spectrum. Access to smaller, independent news sites, or social media political influencers only make the MSM less effective.
In short - you're fine. Just vote.

Brain: Through meticulous analysis of history
I will find a way to make the people worship me.
By studying the conquerors of days gone by,
I'll discover the mistakes that made them go awry.
Pinky: So that you can make the same mistakes if you just try.
Brain: By studying the past so carefully,
I won't repeat the same mistakes of history.
Pinky: You'll never make another mistake, you see,
'cause you'll fall asleep from reading all that history.
    Brain: Pay attention Pinky!
    When Cleopatra reigned as Queen,
With Roman leaders she was often seen.
But when she had no ruling friend,
She found a poison snake to bite her in the end.
Pinky: A bite down there I really wouldn't recommend.
Brain: I won't need world alliances,
    When I'm commanding everyone's appliances.
Pinky: Oh no Brain, that would really smart,
To be bitten on the bottom by a Cuisinart.
    Brain: Hannibal, our book confirms,
    Tried conquering Italy with pachyderms.
Just why he failed, nobody tells,
But he never could get past the Roman sentinels.
Pinky: And he couldn't find his weapons in the peanut shells.
Brain: An elephant is not required,
If I can use the media to be admired.
Pinky: The TV viewers you'll delight,
Unless the network puts your show on Sunday night.
Brain: Attila was a mighty Hun,
He ransacked Asia Minor just for fun.
But when he got to Europe's banks,
He was routed by an army of heroic Franks.
Pinky: I like mine with sauerkraut and mustard, thanks.
Brain: Why pillage like a criminal,
When I can send out messages subliminal.
Pinky: Please send a message to that Hun,
To see if he can pillage me a hot dog bun.
    [whack] Zort!
Brain: Caligula was no boy scout,
He did things that we can't even talk about.
The Romans knew he'd lost his head,
When he filled a vacant Senate seat with Mr. Ed.
Pinky: What's wrong with being friendly with a thoroughbred?
Brain: Why rule like such a reprobate,
When I can put the world in a hypnotic state?
Pinky: When everybody's in a trance,
You can make the people do a chicken dance.
Brain: Pinky, if you don't stop this foolishness,
I shall have to hurt you.
    Pinky: 'kay.
    Brain: In France, Napoleon Buonaparte,
Thought beating Austria was very smart.
But when he took on England too,
He was beaten up by Wellington at Waterloo.
Pinky: And now he's just a pastry filled with creamy goo.
    Brain: Why conquer with depravity,
I'll win the world by undermining gravity.
Pinky: And even if your plan falls through,
Maybe they will name a pastry after you.
    [squirt] Waahahaha!
Brain: From Ghengis Khan to Charlemagne,
    From Alexander down to Tamburlaine.
    I find a ruler's tragic flaw,
And gain a little wisdom out of each faux pas.
Pinky: Don't forget the former Governor of Arkansas.
Brain: That concludes my little rhyme,
I hope this lesson wasn't just a waste of time.
Pinky: Well Brain, I've learned that one thing's true,
Every one of them has failed, and so have you.
Brain: Thank you for your vote of confidence.
Now come, we must prepare for tomorrow night.
Pinky: Why, what are we going to do tomorrow night?
(Gasp) Sing a song about all the world's cheeses?
Brain: No, Pinky, we shall try to take over the world --
    Through meticulous analysis of history.

    • @viljamtheninja

Jose Blanco It was absolutely aimed at children. It was, however, a show that was written well enough that everyone could enjoy it - including plenty of dirty jokes snuck in that only adults would understand.
But these jokes were SNUCK IN. They weren't really part of the main program; they were there for the adults watching with their kids. Y'know, the kids the show was aimed at.
No, not all cartoons are children's programming. Animaniacs was, though. If you think sexualization of a character makes it an adult show, you probably need to watch... fucking anything, really, but try Bugs Bunny. Really, the old Warner Bros. cartoons were often overtly sexual.
By the way, you say "Almost all cartoons are made by grown ups." Do you actually believe that something needs to be made BY CHILDREN in order to be commercially aimed at them?

You know, the intro of Pinky and the Brain has the line "One is a genius, the others insane". Naturally, it seems like Brain is the genius... until you get songs like this one, and it just proves that *Pinky* is the genius, but in a different way than we're expecting. He just takes life at his own pace, laughing and playing while Brain is stressing his ass off trying to fix the world through absurdly convoluted plans and centralized leadership, which never works.
I mean really; Pinky is just trying to have fun, and always succeeds. Brain is trying to perform grand, majestic plots, and always fails. So who's really the smart one, here?

    • @kaimagnus5760
      @kaimagnus5760 10 років тому +47

To Quote John Flanagan's Ranger's Aprentice Series, "A simple plan is best because there's less that can go wrong". So add that to Albert Einstien's Quote "Repeating the same senario and expecting diffrent results is the deffiniton of insanity" and it proves that Pinky is indeed the Genius from his simplistic veiw of the problem to recognizing no matter what plan Brain makes it'll always fail because it's the same plan every time.

    • @ChevaliersEmeraude
      @ChevaliersEmeraude 10 років тому +14

kai magnus If it were the same plan every time, the episodes would be very boring and repetitive after a while. I also have to disagree with this ''simple plan is best'' quote. Simple plans, by their nature, don't take into account any weak spots in it, holes that your adversaries can take advantages of. Of course, a plan too complex, where the success of the plan depends on the success of each of its part, and a single failure makes things go south, that's a problem too, it's true. But there has to be a middle ground.

    • @kaimagnus5760
      @kaimagnus5760 10 років тому +6

ChevaliersEmeraude I'd like to add to your observation by stating that "Bumb rush times 10" and "Head on Assault" arnt actually plans but the lack of them. A simple plan for ex. would be if an enemy base has 1000 men and your force only has 10 then infiltrating the base via a disguise would be more practical than trying to break down the door. But a disguise dosn't require any thing as complex as taking over their computer system and sneeking in during the resulting chaos.

Rob Paulsen can do a marvellous job when singing as Yakko who is as his name suggests is very articulate and vocal singing or talking.
But he is purposely off key / high pitched when singing as Pinky because Pinky is not usually meant to sing , not full songs anyway.
Just describing the difference between the two characters.
Rob himself does amazing job with all his vocal work sing or speaking. (esp Yakko🥰).

There are two callbacks to the series in this song:
    "The TV viewers you'll delight!
Unless the network puts your show on Sunday night!"
When _Pinky & The Brain_ launched in 1995, it was aired on Sundays in primetime (7 p.m. ET and PT) as well as Saturdays on Kids WB!. The show won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1996, its only year of eligibility for such an award, for its Christmas special. The episode was rebroadcast several times over the show's run, with its promos referencing the Emmy win.
"What are we going to do tomorrow night, sing a song about all the world's cheeses?"
This refers to _Cheese Roll Call,_ a song from the show's first season.

Hitler invaded, only to find out that Russia's Bear Calvary was waiting for them. They met on The Field of Honor, and the Germans lost miserably.
They got ridden over by the Bears, given Bear Hugs, found themselves irrevocably Screwed and Borscht by the Calvary's maneuvering of theirs and the Germans forces, and suffered terribly at the Calvary's usage of the Field's High Ground section. The extra Commissioned troops brought to the field as reinforcements by the Czar's orders further sealed the German defeat.
General Ivan and Major Ursa both demonstrated their Superiority in defending Mother Russia and also showed how even if you were to work with Bear Necessities, you can still dominate an opponent. They both received high honors at The Czar's Palace a few days after the battle.

Actually, that's both true and a brilliant insight into the song. Brain is trying so hard to learn from history, but Pinky *wrecks* his conclusions, one by one, under the guise of a silly joke. Lemme explain:
      1. Brain concludes that studying ancient conquerors and leaders, he can learn how they were ultimately defeated (or not). Pinky points out, indirectly and subtly, that the circumstances of the ancients are not necessarily applicable to their situation; after all, Brain hasn't got a tribe or weapons; he's got one loyal follower and some food pellets.
      2. Brain decides that an army of appliances could maintain his dominance from studying Cleopatra's failed alliances with Rome. Pinky points out that an army of appliances can't do anything but hurt, which is going to cause a total of zero supporters. Threats and might are only effective if the conqueror offers a carrot to contrast the stick.
Cleopatra actually made a different mistake; which was to invest too heavily into one ally, which turned out to be less stable than she thought. Distributed investment, fellas.
      3. Brain sees that Hannibal's elephant-heavy army didn't work, but didn't know why. Pinky tells it like it is: Elephants eat ALL your supplies! Sure, they're basically unstoppable on the ancient battlefield, but when they do more damage to your logistical infrastructure than the enemy ever did you should rethink your forces.
      4. Brain considers using the mass media to become influential. Pinkie says that it could work, but for the fact that TV networks are notorious about sticking good shows into lousy timeslots, limiting their exposure. Even IF Brain managed to get a successful show going, he'd have more competition than his plan could handle.
      5. Brain talks about Attila's legendary conquests, and how he was stopped by the Franks. Pinky wisely explains that that isn't important to HIS situation, as he hasn't got a horde of horse archers or any Frankish militia to worry about. (Actually, the people he interacts with during his hijinks are extremely cooperative towards him. There's an almost surreal lack of resistance.)
      6. Brain wants to plant subliminal messages to control the populace. Pinky mocks the idea, saying that there's not much to gain by doing this. Individual messages provide the sender precious little control; it's just not enough.
      7. Brain plans on ruling the world through hypnosis, in contrast to Caligula's foolishness. Pinky, quite rightly, explains that while hypnosis renders the victim highly susceptible to suggestions and orders, they lack initiative, drive, creativity, and sense, and thus aren't actually useful for doing anything truly useful. Programmers have this problem with computers; it takes forever to explain what you want juuuuuuuust right so it actually happens without derping.
      8. Brain looks into Napoleon's conquests, particularly his failure at Waterloo, and decides to work on a plan with a larger initial impact. Pinky notes that while Napoleon certainly didn't succeed at what he was trying to do, he still did achieve fame and recognition. Brain still doesn't know how to change his objective during the operation, a crucial command skill.
      9. Brain, in conclusion, summarizes his idea that he can learn from the mistakes of the ancients. Pinky finishes by saying that, considering Brain's success rate, he should seriously try harder to learn from his *own* mistakes.
All in all, reliance on rote knowledge is foolhardy and unproductive; you have to interpret and apply what you have learned.
