Great animation! For the people complaining about 'love' being the cure to Jacks problem. I don't think it's love so much as finding someone who actually cares about you. That can help a lot.
I was immediately drawn to this thought, and you immediately helped me re-frame my perceptions about it, and I no longer feel that critical twinge about it. Thanks! ❤
Will love doesn’t have to mean in a relationship with that partner, love mean that you are willing to help or take care of a person that you respect. Just like how I love my friends but I don’t want to pursuit anything else’s from friends. It’s the will to help understand and help for the people that you care for.
The way I would just EAT UP a series about this. The animation is INCREDIBLE, the character design are great, and the story feels complete despite being so short. I love this

That moment when she takes his hand and the music stops, his expression changes because he’s overwhelmed and barely able to comprehend just how much love can heal. It got me tearing up a bit.
I actually appreciate this story because as someone who faces something very similar (bpd+schizophrenia, what a combo) the visuals is exactly what it's like. Sometimes it's off putting, but tou learn to live with it because it's your norm and you HAVE to. And even if it doesn't ever fully go away, when you can finally heal, it really does feel like everything falls into place. I get turning to a bad lifestyle, could be because you can't function enough to do anything else, or it's all you know you can do, and the monsters within tell you to keep going because deep down you hate what it does to you. But eventually we can get the chance to break that cycle, and it's such a good feeling. My brain never stops seeing those monsters. Medicine never helped me, and it's how my brain works now. But I can learn to live with it, to not let it define me, and to live freely. It won't chain me down anymore. I hope everyone in these shoes can find that balance, that spark that allows us to move on and be free. Thank you for making this beautiful little movie Titmouse. This short film sort of displays a relatable sense(IMO) of how a person dealing with these type of mental issues copes and handles everyday life(not stealing, but emotionally). I admire every bit of this film and can relate to it on a higher level, personally and truly. I'm confident that this is a product of personal-expression and PHENOMENAL TALENT within their craft(animation). There's people with AMAZING TALENT that are not able to output their abilities 100% because of the monsters(mental issues) they're fighting/dealing with in their head. I do not know if David V., the producer of this film, created this, purposely, with the paranoid-schizo/schizoid-trope references in the film, but it is incredibly accurate. I also did deeper research and noticed that he has went on to directing, storyboarding, and much more in some films that were nominees. Yeah, it wasn't that animation was dead but more that we've stopped looking for art like this and instead just stayed in mainstream/nostalgia... the golden age of animation really shouldn't be a formula, nor what is the next big thing. It's more just the fact you can find good work anywhere you go.

Wow, someone should really go and tell all those idiots at the psychward that all the years of extensive therapy and medication was a waste of time, after all mental illness is so easily cured with a bit of love, right?
If only it was that easy to dispel mental illness. Everyone says "how romantic" but it's clear she dismisses mental illness as a mood or a feeling, as in expecting it to pass and everything be okay, when here it is a fundamental component of his entire identity and is not something that will go away regardless of who is or isn't in his life. If anything he will just rebound into a greater spiral into mental illness when he fucks up again. Great animation though, too bad the nuance and subtext are lost on so many.
You would be surprised at what a good outlook and medication does for you. I went from an almost feral human being completely burning inside with hatred to someone who looks that same person in the mirror with a deep breath and courage. When he looks at himself, shaking with rage and his face twisted, he accepts that part of himself ultimately bridging the gap of what he wants to be and who he was. The most unrealistic thing is that no cop would be that dedicated to taking down a pickpocket
Clearly the cop wasn’t as concerned about stopping as pickpocket as he was beating up a guy who challenged his ego

they've literally made too many shows to list. they are all great - starting from the original, "Downtown"., in the 90's. There's also a great animated show called Kiff on CN - & My favorite, Metalocalypse@@tariyamori
This is just masterclass of animation and story telling.
Who subscribed because of the animation of Diablo and even liked it more because of this? All I have to say in this short movie is WOW!♥

Tictok attention deficit
There's no more love in animation nowadays, but this is amazing.
I’ve seen the cafe scene of this posted about a million times with the caption “amazing what a footjob under the table can do for a man” or something like that and it’s crazy that this video doesn’t have like a billion views
i have been looking for this animated short for 7 years
really cool detail that I somehow didn’t even notice until watching this for like the 20th time was at 5:28 how the fan makes him switch from his blue character to his regular character as it spins
Gracias por regalar esperanza a través del arte. No solo me refiero al contenido. El lenguaje de animación es bueno tiene ritmo carácter.
This is amazing animation and story 10/10. Really happy that it appeared in my recommendations.
This feels like somethin I would watch on a weekend morning
