Agust D: “I’m a King, I’m a Boss”
Jeff: “Yes” 💅🏼
Literally all us ARMYs 😂 like go off sis
👋 I guess you forget this comment , how are you doing😂
I AM SO IMPRESSED that he found jin in the first play!!!
LOL THAT FACE
saaame!
IT WAS SEOKJIN AND JUNGKOOK I LEGIT CRIED LAUGHED WHEN I FIGURED OUT IT WAS THEMSKSMOA
I KNOWWW! Literally no one notices, I was so surprised 😱
Lol, I have no clue how but I recognized them right away
Just if you wanna know some more information about the whole concept: Daechwita is a group of traditional instruments that are played during the king's ceremonial processions so maybe Yoongi is kinda of announcing his arrival. By the way, the scars is probably cause in the past in Korea if a royal member had any scar they could never rise to the throne but here we have King Yoongi with a big one in his face, poweful.
Shiiiit. That’s sick!! Go Yoongi!
@@JeffAvenue Hey Jeff, like the reaction! Fun fact - fans had theories about the twin scars (eg the "modern" self's scar was healed, but the king's one looked quite fresh, so they thought the modern was the true king & that's why he went to kill the imposter)- but in fact in the interview released the other day, Yoongi said it was just that he wanted to shock people when they first saw him! Lol, sounds like him!
In the short behind-the-scenes vid that Bangtantv also released, he confirmed a plot theory too - that the "butcher" you see him exchanging looks with near the beginning (when he's in the hat) is also the executioner! So the look between them is to agree the plan that the executioner won't kill him, but set him free instead to kill the king!
Btw, if you want some more on the cultural refs, have a look at the reaction from justdavid (of DKDKTV) - he gets really excited! :D
Jungkook’s the one who fought Jin 🤣😂
😂😂
Yess such an iconic duo they always bicker🤣🤣❤
Fun fact! Yoongi is actually related to the last Empress of Korea so he’s basically got royal blood! a literal KING!
what what ? Yeah all the Kim, Min, etc... It’s the case for a lot of people 😂😂
Damn. We ain’t worthy
Jeff Avenue never seen something so relatable until now
Ye i heard that not many army knows about it. Since the news is from around the end of 2019. So not many army probably knows about it yet
Actually im not a bts stan, but i always REALIZE and AGREE to everyone who said SUGA IS NO.1 IDOL RAPPER LIKE I REALLY LOVE HIS FLOW, HIS SKILL AND EVERYTHING.
Everyone had a crush on him at least once😭👉👈
yoongi/suga 🤝 changbin = amazing k-pop rappers with incredible flow
@@sunnyrecs valid!!!!!!💚💚💚
Yehhh maaannn
I wouldn't say he's the best, but he's certainly one of the best. I think Jooheon and Changbin are also sick, these three are the top 3, in my vision.
@@emoshrek8902 i love all of them, but for me suga still my no.1 💚💚
Yoongi explains that the king is the him from 4 years that has become like full of himself (Blond hair). The new Agust D has come to kill him.
Also with what suga said is to just appreciate the sound and visuals of what is happening in the music video.
The song is actually deeper than you think
Of course it is LOL it always is 🤯
Actually, Suga said it's a song to enjoy not really dive into the lyrics.
@@MrsNiaboo2000 there is not much depth in lyrics but the music video has. he said "i want you to focus on more visuals."
I love what u post
Also idk if u noticed but Jungkook was also there. He was the one that Jin was ‘fighting’ with
Haha yeah my sister pointed it out when I was editing. Lol so random yet so smart
King Gwanghae,15th king of the Joseon dynasty interpreted by Suga he was a bloody ,mad and tyrannical king.
King Gwanghae from Yoongi 's video represents today's society dominated by the Great Entertainment Agencies in Korea that "kill " any free talent and who don't belong to them for own profit.
BTS have struggled a lot whit the Great Entertainment Agencies and fans of kpop bands belonging to them
Their success means the death of all charges against BTS.
Can't mess whit BTS exactly what Yoongi says in the first Agust D.
Min Joongi,or Agust D ,or Suga it has nothing to do whit malice, drugs, greed and inhumanity.
Success can create a monster but that's not his case.
Min Yoongi is interested in their psychological analysis.
BTS boys are modest, respectful, pretty childish, perseveranti, well educated, united ,very sensitive ,determined and loving.
My opinion.
"Daechwita " is korean traditional march music.
It is played when King and to welcome important quest or oversea quest.
I think in this video it's more challenge to war.
4:40, it is actually set as a korean Kingdom
Ahhh. Makes sense!!
its jin and jungkook at the back🤣🤣
One of the better moments of 2020!
One of the better moments of 2020!
This was absolutely stunning aesthetically, it was absolutely gorgeous. His flow is so interesting, like you said I love how he plays with dynamics in his rapping.
Fun fact - this was filmed at the same temple Stray Kids filmed Double Knot :)
Jeff: what does it mean?
it's bang pd HAHAHAHAHAHAH
LOLOLOL 🤣🤣 OMG 😳
@@JeffAvenue It's a copy of a drawing Kookie did on one of their games, where the members had to guess something from just a drawing - all Jk drew was the 2 dots for eyes & the curve for the large nose, but they all guessed straight away it was Bang PD hahaha!
It's written that "a man with a scar shall not become king" in Korea. But in this MV, Suga is a king with a scar.
All hail our king 🤧💜
Defying society’s norm 👏🏽👏🏽
"he looks so good" ofc. he's min yoongi
yoongi was a literal king he wasnt lying
2:40 Jungkook was there too, beating the hell out of Jin 😂
Lol 😂
Jeff: Did he die?
Me: no babe, the king never dies uwu
We need a part 2! Stat!
@@JeffAvenue hell yes, we're waiting for the king
- spoiler alert -
not talking about what the mv symbolizes, just what the plot of the music video is about
basically, Suga is a tyrant that kills people for fun and steps on his subjects (literally) just because he feels like it, making people suffer for his entertainment
Yoongi on the other hand is a commoner who lives among the common folk, and he plots to take the cruel king down. He meets with the butcher at the market and makes a pact with him to take out the king
Yoongi get captured on purpose to be beheaded by the king, and the butcher is either hired or pretends to be the executioner who is tasked to cut his head off in front of Suga the King. The butcher misses his head on purpose and cuts his restraints instead, freeing him while bowing to him and presenting the gun. Yoongi successfully takes out the King in a coup, killing him (or at least wounding him critically) with a gunshot.
I'm sure there's a lot of symbolism in the music video, but I'm seriously amazed by the plot and cinematography, not to mention the budget and effort put into filming this
What I took from this is that the king is his current self filled with wrath and riches. Blacked haired yoongi is his past self that was driven by his passions. At the end him killing his “present” self was his way of saying it has caused unhappiness and he wants to get back to the way he used to be, driven and thriving from his passion. Because we all know that Yoongi never wanted fame, he just wanted success for his songs.
I heard that in Agust D (the first mixtape) talk about something and here he comes to fix it or something like that... With these boys we must investigate because everything is connected. .. and JK also appears... He's who fights with Jin😂😂😂
Also, I died with Bang PD picture 😂😂😂😂😂
Ahh. Yaa ARMY had enough rest. Time to go back to research! Lol

Ahh. Yaa ARMY had enough rest. Time to go back to research! Lol
I've listened to the song countless times and it's still a banger for my ears damn the king never dies DAECHWITAAAA
"I hope I'm ready for this"
Was anyone, really? lol
I got this from some people
Daechwita (literally "great blowing and hitting") is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while marching.
It can also mean "Big Shot". This music was performed in the march of a king or an attributive and an army march organized by a wind instrument and a percussion instrument. Agust D used it here to show that he is the king and his fans are a the ARMY. It a way to say that in this industry, they should play "daechwita" when he and his ARMY walk because their existence is an honor that you should celebrate. Also, they walk as the others bow down to the ground in respect. Their faces are not seen and they are all wearing the same clothes. No one stands out or rules over but the king.
The one he's wearing is actually a traditional clothing that only kings could wear. You see like traditionally asians grow hair of and take care of it which shows rank on society. If i wasn't wrong i can't remember the name of the king way back but he also has a scar. He was actually renowned for his ruthlessness and bravery for breaking the stereotypes of what kings would be. If im wrong please correct me. In korea if you have a scar you can't be a king, but min yoongi broke that stereotype and became a king with a scar on his face. I stan a king. I stan a boss.
Also Yoongi have a royalty blood, his surname Min is a royal surname from dynasty Joseon. And this is have sense too in this MV.
In his other Agust D album there's a track called The Last he said that "Min Yoongi is dead. I killed him." But this time he killed Agust D (The King) because he doesn't need a persona, like a mask to pretend that he's a celebrity anymore, because the little poor boy that he was just grew up and made it so now Agust D, Suga and Min Yoongi are the same person. It's my version of the MV... Because sometimes celebrity lose who they really are, they're quite like acting in front of the public.
in Shadow he says, "i wanna be me." so here he kills the "king," his persona so he just becomes himself again.
Agust D: RAPPING like the Boss he knows he is
Jeff: o:
(I love your authentic reactions and how you analyze all the little details ❤)
I had my mouth open the whole time. The mv was hardcore. You should watch the mv sketch, they uploaded it.
You've already reacted to Agust D, You should listen to "Agust D" amazing song, amazing visual and the lyrics... you should see for yourself!
General culture: In Korea, kings and queens could not be marked, otherwise they could not ascend to the throne. As you see, he ascended, the scar on his face is somewhat symbolic. The song is one of those that makes you think and you see that it is aimed at people or something specific. 🤩💯
I laughed so hard when you said "there's some plot twist shit going on" .....so much truth!!! 😂
we are definitely attacked by yoongi's rap skill and THAT VISUAL🙂🔫
'sHoutOut tO tHe hAterS' BISH I FELT THAT 😂😂😂😊😂😂😂😂😂
I love your reactions so much, you’re so genuine and funny 💜
Thank u! 😊😊
Jeff Avenue you’re very welcome 😊🤗🥰
Is that your sister in the beginning? She's so pretty 😩💗
Yup! That’s her 😁
Guys at the beginning yoongi gave the butcher a look and at the end of the mv, he is the prosecutor that helped him kill the king. The king is basically Agust D 1 that became arrogant and D2 wanted to restart and kill him I think just to relive the moment......The more you know
This is my first time in your channel, watched a few by now and this is my fave 💜 2nd is dynamite mv. I love your reaction here! Tho you've seen some spoilers already, still it's raw and funny at the same time coz of your facial expressions 🤯 haha 😹 loveeee it! 💜😻
I was watching a Netflix series Lucifer and I saw you in one of the ep, super excited I told my husband I follow him on UA-cam, almost like we were friends for life XD, by the way you did very very well, I hope you continue acting in many more things, take care ^^
I dont know if anyone commented this yet but whats on the scroll is a drawing of Hitman Bang which is hilarious with the lyric of Bang PD.. in a recent run episode they did drawing telephone and hitman bang was the word and thats what the members drew lmao
Daechwita is a traditional Korean musical genre born in the late Joseon dynasty, which used to be performed in royalty processions, was characterized by including wind instruments and percussion. Today it continues to be used on special occasions and for military purposes.
Fun fact? Yoongi is the grandson of the last empress so if Korea still had a king today, the crown would have been passed down to Yoongi.
in Korean dynasties ppl with scars can’t ascend the throne, be it King or Queen. If a crown prince or prince has a scar he won't get the throne if a girl has a scar she can't marry the king and be queen. Yoongi having a scar is like fkc you to the system.
The one with black hair is the past version of himself and there's speculation about the king version. Some say it's yoongi, some say it's suga. I feel like (after reading the lyrics of the whole album) that after his song shadow, he's done a lot of soul searching, he's ready to accept his past, be proud of it, and all of his personas are finally coming together for him. I feel like the king version of him is a future version of himself, tainted by money/fame/power... and this video is him rejecting that future, the lyrics saying he refuses to be that weak.
@UCuxqqGPQL2CrKyf8vjAiWsQ yes. I watched it later. Art is still subjective and up to the viewer to interpret how they do.
I understand his message, but this is still what I felt from it
Sweet sweet, lovely Jeff,
Since you seem to be okay to be reacting to vocals/videos too. I have this recommendation for you :) actually... 2 recommendations. wait, no, make that 3 :D haha!
1: Hoppipolla 'enough' MV
2: The Rose - you can chose, I love them all!
3: ONEWE - once again, you chose, but I'll recommend their latest comeback 'end of spring' bc it's just perfect for this time of year :)
They are 3 bands I really really like! The rose and onewe I can say I am a stan! I listen to hoppipolla casually, but they are just so amazing!
the guy with the sword who was supposed to kill the ''modern/new'' Agust D is the same guy he saw at the market. So basically they planned to kill the king aka the ''old'' Agust D. I hope this can help you to understand the story a little bit better :)
AGUST D IS FINALLY BACK, we all should bow down to him, period.
Also, you should react to TXT! They are great.
Songs that I recommend:
Crown, Cat & Dog, Run Away, New Rules, Can't You See Me? & Drama
Jeff, I love when you noticed things as a performer yourself that makes me appreciate more this MV.
The venue is quite common in historical korean dramas, for some who watched "Kingdom" in netflix they somehow refers to that.
Me being fan of historical k-drama I'm living with this MV, super love it!
Agust D represents 2 persona here, the king & the commoner.
Yoongi said in their MV shooting sketch (behind-the-scene) the mad king represents as the past Agust D & the commoner represents as the new Agust D who confronts the king.
Please do watch the behind-the-scene!
Stay safe!
I saw something on Twitter that this is a reference to some movie or book where a doppelganger takes the place of a king because the king was receiving threats of being assassinated and this doppelganger ends up actually taking the place of the king but the king comes back to take his throne back or something.
The name is mentioned in the lyrics and starts with a G but that is all i remember
Oh wow this is a different interpretation from what I’ve been hearing!
Actually the meanings are easy to understand if you know what to observe. For instance, he has this scar on his face and in ancient Korea royalty didn't have any kind of scarring, is like even though he has it he still managed to become a king. Also in the lyrics, he talks about how he has reached the top and now that there is no higher to go he wants to get more grounded, that's probably why he kills his king self at the end, for his original self to be the one left. What's interesting is that there are clips of him in "Burn the Stage" working on this album... he's been preparing since 2017!
As soon as I saw you reacted to this I thought, “he’s not ready for this”...then the beat dropped and I was proved right 😂😂 Isn’t this epic? 😍
actually its jin and jk fightingbat the back, love this dorks!
Okay so some interasting facts:
In Korea you can not be a king if you have a scar on your face ,,I'm a king, i'm a boss''
Daechwita is music that plays when someone is a king so that's why he is saying ,,Daechwita play it loud''
Yes at 2:35 Jin and Jungkook are fighting
In the MV he says ,,Born a slave but now a king'' you can see that he (as a king) tied himself from the past (a slave) and killed him meaning he's changed
If you didn't notice 3:27 he's putting on a watch while rapping lol
I didn't even realize Jin was in there until I saw people post it on social media! I'm impressed 😂 Suga Slays, love your reactions!
Jin and Jungkook fighting in the background as cameos is actually my favourite scene
Best scene of 2020! Lol
I really enjoy your reactions Jeff!!😊
Suga..
This mix album is crazy...
Nothing else to expect from Agust D! Haha 🔥🔥🔥
Basically there is two of him the king and the slave and the king looks down on all the slaves even though that where he came from so at the end the slave kills the king because he forgot that he used to be like them.
It’s basically about him not forgetting where he came from even though he has everything he wanted
I love how everyone thinks that teh scroll thing had korean writing on it, but I had realised it was Yoongis drawing of Bang Si Hyuk PD (their producer and kinda head of Big Hit)😂
Hello Jeff, Agust D es ARTE!!! Amé el MV. Suga es mi bias ✌🏼💜
2:08 LMAO I though you were gonna say beautiful set or something like that, hahaha
The whole D-2 mixtape is 👌👌👌
I love your reactions!!! I love how you dissect and explain what you think!
I really love and enjoy the way you react! Xoxo
always love your reactions!!!!!!
who ever that doesnt fall for black haired, undercut yoongi daechwita era.....
ARE YOU EVEN A HUMAN?
Your reaction is everythinggggg
Agust D: daech-
Jeff: ur doing great sweetie 😊
IKFR!! 😍🔥 I was so hooked on this...i literally watched it twice at the first time😌
This is soo classy😍❤ SUGA 👑❤
GREAT RESPECT FOR THIS MAN👑👑

Also Jeff when you make those small hand gestures i can't take my eyes off. Your rings are beautiful😍
I love these kind of band rings ❤
Oh thank u! Got them in Orlando! 😁
Oh thank u! Got them from Orlando! 😁
There was also Jungkook next to Jin! Also watch the making and you might get the meaning of the song!
Everyone who reacts to this MV is so shook by the first beat drop wehgfdwuey
The concept is actually a little connected to suga he's the grandson of the last empress of korea
Watch DKDTV’s explained by a Korean of this song it is so amazing and will explain a lot of the cultural things and idioms that non-natives wouldn’t understand
There are sooooooo many things I would like to explain on that cultural basis-
The scar
The "twins"
The actuality that he hints at in the shooting sketch
But congratulations on finding Jin on the first try!
And an Edit:
Suga added that he just found this as a fun song to have an MV for and audio and visuals are the main
More stuff you deserve an explanation for...
But also this disses a LOT of people he passed in his "real" life as an idol...
And also the writing which happens to be Jk's caricature of Bang PD-nim
AAAAND that ending "plot twist" with the "traitor" stuff
Should I start explaining here? ":)
Oooh that was a huuuge rech in the right direction "does he want to kill his past self?" It's more of the direction "he wants to kill his future self."
The main move for him to write it seems like the Military exemption reqests which other entertainment companies are using in the name of BTS and the boys themselves never have asked to be excempt. Well... that also could be true with the military-ish theme aka 대취타 which is like the chant-music mix they play when the king leaves his palace
Idk felt like something really far reaching and hard hitting
BTS MVs always have such bold meaning. I love how Yoongi isn’t afraid to experiment and is so smart with the way he’d be presenting his lyrics.
@@JeffAvenue very true! I was literally doing the same thing, trying to watch and read lyrics while also headbanging :")
Also, thank you for the reply and have a great day or night!
@@JeffAvenue ua-cam.com/video/_-4njtd0WpE/v-deo.html check her out! For an explanation
Hi Jeff, hope you're keeping safe and well. I love this, I was shocked seeing him dressed like this, who would have expected that! It is awesome, he looks stunning and I love how the traditional and modern are mixed and, of course, he is a lyrical genius!
I love you for this reaction video 😊
The "writing" that you refered to in 6:34 is actually a drawing JK did of Bang PD a while ago. They show the image just as Yoongi says the line about Bang PD dancing on and on. Also, I could be wrong but I think someone explained that what is under the drawing is a chinese character that represents dancing but I never double checked that info.
BTS always putting crumbs of info in their MVs >>
He loves Scarface haha
Yoongi actually comes from royal blood. The min clan. Pretty much anyone with “Min” is a descendant of royalty. His comes from an empress .
Suga is so talented.
when Hongjoongs cover came up I was like "boy you better!"
If you like “Suga” in general you should try and listen to “BewhY”. I recommend Challan or Gottasadae those are some of his best songs
I saw on another UA-cam video that the two alter egos are meant to be the him before he was famous then the King is him now, so he's killing the him now to show that he isn't just his famous self (the comment was phrased better but it's the gist of what I saw haha)
Stan Luga
HHAHAA 💀
You really have to listen to his album on your own time (if you have time or want to of course owo) His album is wholesome and really versatile and I was reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally impressed with his discographyy and hope youll bee too :))))))))))) And the last song on his album is so sad and holds such a meaning :(((( all of the songs on there were PERFECT
love your videos
The fact that he learned traditional sword dancing for this too, so cool
For the cameo, jungkook is there as well fighting with jin HAHAHA. and as for the last part yoongi with black hair is the real king where as blonde yoongi is actually an imposter the guy who cut off his rope on his hand knew the blonde yoongi was a hoax so he helped the black haired yoongi to get his place back!!
🤯🤯 damnn. This is some Netflix shit. We need a part 2!
i love that we’re both bopping heads
"I hope I'm ready for this" lmao no one was ready for that
he went to market to spy and also have a deal with the butcher , jk wa laso there , its agust d past vs agust d present, king cant have scar but he was able to be a king (like him as suga he is korean but now got the fame and success
Jeff I've been seeing that you really like the performance itself and like to see the unique ways to do a performance to make it more special. I recommend watching BTS Vs fancams because he is an expression king and is known as Textbook Gesture because idols study his expressions and charisma and ways of performing (including wanna one jihoon and many others). He is also known as idol of idols. He also has the MOST viewed kpop fancam of all time (Boy with luv, 115m i think rn) and also the most viewed fancam so FAR in 2020 (his ON fancam, 20 or 30m i think). He is known as king of fancams.
My little sister was so into the song and then you paused she was like" why doesn't he finish talking once he keep pausing " she was so irritated I can't 😂😭
When did I comment this😂
Looking for my comment
I love your vids! 💜

"This some plot twist shit going on!" Haha😭
Please react to TXT they already have their dance practice and comeback Can’t you See me
CANT U SEE THEM?
“It’s a beautiful cow” lmao
Ahhh you gotta react to Monsta X "Fantasia" I'm sooo curious about your take!
Could you please react to Pentagon - Dr Bebe? They are so underrated and really need recognition. You have seen them on Road to Kingdom so you kinda already know who they are but their discography is one of the best I've seen (11 albums in 3 years what?). I'd appreciate if you would react to any of their songs really. Thank you!
