Hi! As fellow Metalhead, I'd never thought liking BTS. Then one day, I fell into the rabbithole...since then I'm ARMY and BTS is my number 1.
There is more than 300 songs, and I like or love most of them! The band members are also awesome humans with a lot of entertaining contents... Well, A LOT!
I would like to suggest you: 'ON kinetic manifesto', 'Blood, Sweat & Tears', 'Fake Love' to begin with...even if my fav are their B-Sides! Enjoy!

Fake love lyrics hit hard, I play the song and vibe to it, but when I read the lyrics I remember how deep the lyrics are and cry most of the time
One core thing to remember is this-
Bts started with rm and suga, who were both underground rappers. Then jhope joined and he was a champion street dancer. Their roots are all hip hop.
Mic Drop is epic ! Your next one could be ON Kinetic Manifesto Film. There is an original mv of ON , but Kinetic Manifesto should be seen first for both to be appreciated imo.
Yes! Although BTS has a wide range of styles, if I want to show my non-Army friends what BTS is all about, I show them ON: Kinetic Manifesto. It has ALMOST everything they're about. The only thing it's missing is that 1-2 rap line sucker punch. For that, watch any of the Cyphers, Ugh or, my favourite, Outro: Tear.

BTS has suffered and continues to suffer a lot of hate, prejudice, xenophobia, since its inception. This song is one of the answers to that: a direct message to the haters and all those who looked or look at the group with contempt or disrespect.
RM commented that the track was inspired by the end of former United States President Barack Obama's speech at the WH dinner, where Obama ended his speech with the words: “Obama out”, that is, “Obama is going” and, shortly after , he dropped the microphone from his hand.
The gesture is popular among artists, especially music stars. It means that the show was so good, so impressive that there is nothing more to say. This is "MIC DROP

I'm a metalhead and I LOVE BTS to bits... AgustD caught me 2017 thanks to a yt glitch (The Last) ... I was crying at the end, though I never even liked rap that much. He is that good. I recommend "Outro: Tear", "Ddaeng", "Attack on Bangtan" and "Bapsae" (Silver Spoon).

I'm 60 seen my boys in concert twice and Suga rapper with blonde. I've seen a lot of bands in my lifetime but these boys have my heart they are so-so good

I'm seeing more & more metal fans genuinely getting into BTS & becoming Army. There has never been Kpop band go global, until now. 🤘

The another bts run mv is older around 2017, so that's the one.

The thing that Really got me into BTS as a metal fan, is their entire career is treated like a rock opera. There’s a story from the first album to the last. A story told from different perspectives and view points, through music, through videos, side stories and comics and it’s been truly masterful.
It’s just a story about life. About growing up and facing the different stages of existence.
I have yet to meet a metal head or goth who’s favourite album isn’t Wings. Where the theme revolves around leaving childhood behind and entering adulthood.
(The lead single from that album is Blood Sweat & Tears. )

They have something everyone will enjoy. 💜💜 they have the most beautiful ballads ive ever heard, to rock, pop, r&b, hip hop, latin pop, you name it. They have song in english, korean, and Japanese.

If you liked this, you should watch Run BTS dance practice. There's no music video, but the dance practice is incredible and the song is an absolute banger.

There are two songs with similar titles, "Run" and "Run BTS". Both are good. Here they are referencing the most recent "Run BTS".
Thanks for the reaction! BTS are the best. I would have enjoyed it more if the song volume hadn't been so low! You normally don't have to worry about copyright on Bighit mvs! Any of their songs are good, but On Kinetic Manifesto is very popular! Even their debut song from 2013 No More Dreams is good and lets you witness how they've grown as a group. 😊
I think all BTS UA-cam mvs that used to be on the Big Hit channel are now on HYBE LABELS. They still have the BANGTANTV channel also.

I’m 56. Metal head in high school. I like all types of rock. I like old school hip hop. I wish I had given BTS a listen earlier. You really have to check out their early stuff. It’s so good. Mic Drop brought me in, Dope, Danger and Fire were the next videos I watched and that’s what hooked me. Those and J-Hope. I love J-Hope’s solo music. Check out his song More. It’s so good.

I never get tired of watching first time BTS watchers blown away. They are legends for a reason.
Hi, fellow metalhead here. Usually I prefer bands like Opeth, Dark Tranquillity, Iminence, Katatonia, Dimmu Borgir or Lorna Shore. So I experience BTS with those ears and eyes. For me is is not a question of who is the cutest or how popular each song is. (Which is a complete fine aproach in my eyes, so not hate here ❤) But those seven got me nevertheless! Because they're so freaking versatile and just simply masters of their individual crafts. I even started listening to korean hiphop and rap cause of them! And don't get me started on most of their lyrics! Deep, meaningfull, comforting, brilliantly written. And this goes for their BTS content as much as for their solo work... yes, they all have solo albums and/or mixtapes.
Let me give you a fair warning:
Leave now, it's a trap for people who love complex good music.
You will end up with a korean heart patch on your battlewest and a pin, which explains what Borahae means, like I did.
If you'd like to check out some darker songs by BTS, I'd recommend Black Swan, Fake Love, Arson by J-Hope, Amygdala and The Last by Suga, Set me free pt2 by Jimin.
And for us metalheads ther is even a Metal Cover of fake love, from a band named Lies Behind your eyes.

If you think they’re going hard here, you have to watch Mic Drop from their Busan concert back in Oct 2022, their last group activity before they pressed pause to work on solo stuff to release while they were enlisted in the South Korean army. They go hard for that entire concert. They hit the ground running with Mic Drip which is my favorite because of all the pyrotechnics.

I think you would like "Fire" "ON" "Run Bts" "Blood swear and tears" and "Fake Love". But their softer songs like “Black Swan,” “Born Singer” or “Spring Day” are also beautiful.
Bts songs often have very deep and touching meanings.
If you are interested in rap, you should definitely check out their Rap Line. Here I recommend you the songs "Ugh" "Outro: Tear" "Bts Cypher Pt3: Killer"

You haven't even started your climb to the tip of the ice burg my friend. I told you these guys are awesome. The more you dig into them, the more you will find out why they are the number 1 Kpop band around. Don't forget to look into their solo works too as each are worth looking into. 55 year old punk rock ARMY since 2018. You have caught on to the only 3 K-Pop groups that I like. Ateez and Stray Kids are both hard hitting, talented groups. BTS are untouchable though, largely because they cover a myriad of genres. That’s one of the reasons I love punk that goes from pop punk to speed metal to hardcore punk. BTS kills it no matter which genre they choose. Having been married to 2 musicians I recognize music nerds when I see them and BTS lives for their music and performing. You should definitely check out their live performances. They will blow your mind, especially the 2019 MMA Awards show. When you are ready I highly recommend Taylor Mari’s Guide to BTS Members; The Bangtan 7 to see how talented they are as writers and producers but their many other achievements, including their educational accomplishments. They are also diplomats and are currently doing their military service, except for Jin who was already discharged. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

If you like this video (and I’m pretty sure you did!), check out the dance practice video for Mic Drop. It’s got additional choreo that is AMAZING and extra back-up dancers too with lots of body rolls at the end. I still don’t know how JHope does some of the moves he does ~ he has no bones! I love the Not Today MV, with cotton-candy-pink-haired Jimin and a sky to match, totally contrasting with the hard-driving sound and words of the song. But lives have that extra edge of singing live, and BTS at Wembley, all wearing white, is fantastic!

My favourite song of vocal line is house of cards.
I recommend some of their individual projects like J-Hope's Arson and Agust D's Daechwita. But honestly, you can't go wrong with BTS or member's songs.

I can listen to them all day and it is never tiring because they have such wide range of styles of music, from deep to funny, from fast to slow but... it is always quality! The quality of the music, the lyrics, and of the choreography, the MV or the spectacle in concert if you watch instead of just listening to it. I love Mic Drop. But I also love Black Swan. Or Serendipity. Or Snooze. I can go on because their discography is huge.
You would love Run BTS (the song, not to be confused with their show of the same name). There is no video, so watch the dance practice. It’s basically the video.

When I saw your response to the explosion, I thought about this: "[ENG] 171129 [EPISODE] BTS (방탄소년단) ‘MIC Drop’ MV Shooting" on the channel Bangtan Subs. They added subtitles in English onto videos put out by BTS in their early years. In this video, you also get to hear the rap added by Desiigner.
While looking up that, I came across this, which dropped only 20 days ago on Steve Aoki's channel: "BTS Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) Music Video - Behind The Scenes".

Just so you know the sound on the MV is way down and you didn't start it by from the beginning so The BigHit logo comes up which the company expect reactors to show. They are okay with reactions when done in accordance with some simple rules show their log show mv form start to finish give your thoughts on it

I love metal and BTS 💜 They have a lot of amazing songs as BTS but I am especially in love with J-Hope's "Stop" (Lollapalooza ver) and Suga's "Burn it" and Interlude:Dawn.
This was fun to watch! I know you've heard a ton of recommendations but i want to tell you one more: baepsae/silver spoon.
The bass/beat is amazing, the lyrics are snapping, but the performance is why i think you should watch it. They hit so hard, especially j-hope. It's probably my favourite bts track that features at 7, and from my favourite album

@Organicplayz I spent like an hour thinking, what's the best video you should watch, cause there's no music video. The live videos of baepsae alone don't have the best music quality (I like to listen the album version in the car with the bass cranked). The dance practice video doesn't have the lyrics, and the lyrics video obviously doesn't have the dance.
The best of all worlds is the live performance from Osaka (which I think someone ripped from the dvd). There's some live instruments in the sound mix, but the performance is of Dope, Baepsae, Fire, and Idol (so it's about 12 minutes long). All the songs are truncated and they only do bits and pieces of the choreography. But it showcases their energy during live performance and how good they are at what they do.

I recommend the alt-rock song Dionysus by BTS. There's no MV but there's a lot of amazing live performances.

are you keeping the volume so low on the song to keep from copywrite? because I can barely hear the song. Its really hardly a whisper and you are yelling on top of it. hard to really vibe out with you when the song is so low. I like to party with reactors and get up and dance myself.

As you get to know and understand them better go back and watch their MVs again. You start to see things you didn't notice before, like the burning bodies of their haters falling from the sky 😂. Their lyrics are very meaningful and often contain so much wordplay or references to South Korean culture, art, literature, psychological concepts etc that you need to be a genius to understand or cheat like I do and watch an explanation video and be blown away. They often use people dressed in black hoodies in their videos to represent haters, and quite often, those haters become supporters by the end of the video.
It is unbelievable the amount of hate BTS has had and still receive.
