This song is the first of a trilogy. It's Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala. Daechwita is from his D-2 album. Haegeum and Amygdala are from his most recent album, D-Day. Agust D is his solo name. It is Suga and D Town backward. His hometown is Daegu where he was an underground rapper in the group called D Town. Suga is his name in BTS. His actual name is Min Yoongi. You may hear people refer to him by those three names. Yoongi can rap even faster than that, just saying.
He is the first korean rapper to have 2 albums with a billion streams on spotify. First rapper to have a 3 millions dollars intimate sold out arena concert in the US. 1 million presale last album. The BTS members are the power rangers of the music with each a different color and together they are dope and fire. PS the live are often better because ARMY give and take energie in concert.
The gun is a USA old Army Colt it represents ARMY. This is the first in the trilogy of songs. He plays 2 people but they are 2 side's of his character and how he over comes the part of himself he doesn't like over time.
First time here. There's an explanation video by DKDKTV, you'll flow away with the meaning of the song and video. ARMY loves watching the explanation videos reactions. BTS never disappoint.Thank you for this reaction. 💜
The painting is of their Boss Bang PD and was made by Jungkook and notice there are 6 people with him when he arrives in the car to the tyrant Emperor's court. These 6 people represent his fellow members of BTS.
Thank you 😊😊 yoongi or Agust D is my favorit rapper i hope you can ceck out another Agust D song like: "Agust D" MV Haegum Amigdala Shadow Teh last D day Tony Montana Burn it Huh And don't forget rap line RM J-Hope and Suga: Shyper part 2 3 4 Daeng Ugh Autro tear And another BTS song Fake love Dope Mic drop Black swan Fire
I love your BTS reactions. I just subscribed today and look forward to more! I don't really like girl groups, or even other K-Pop groups. BTS is a genre all their own, and also incorporates every music genre that's ever existed. They are very unique. There's pop like songs produced during the pandemic to cheer the whole world. They are mostly in English and reached a wider, global audience. There are also ultra deep, and many layered songs in their repertoire. The discovery of BTS saved me from a very dark time in my life, and from what I've seen from other 'ARMY', they have said the same.
yoongi has always been explicit in his opinions of things and this song is clearly an indictment of the rich and those in power who use their power to hurt regular people. he was genius for playing both characters bc it makes you question your allegiances, just as it is in real life. most of this is unsaid but pretty clear from his past dialogues and the beautiful narrative he made here. either way bts and its artists are always more deep than anyone would expect lol enjoy
It's based on some old Joseon Dynasty history. There was a mad king. The people on the sides are the administrators. Usually together they have more power than the king, but in this case the king rules everything and chops off the head of anyone he doesn't like, that's what awaits the line of men in white with hoods, and you can see the heads hanging from the palace balcony. Along comes Agust D, who will be the hero and new king. He comes disguised as a peasant and sets it up with the butcher/executioner to cut the ropes. Word gets to the queen who gives him the car keys. Suga did the sword dance himself. There are lots of psychological and Army-related themes as well. I think the psychological theories were developed after the trilogy because people watching this wouldn't have known ahead.
There's a lot of misinfo in your comment but I just want to correct one: the sword dance was choreographed and yoongi just had to learn the choreo, he didn't "make" it.
@@priiifrgThat's what I said "he did it" not "made". As in doing a jig, or doing a pirouette. He danced it himself, not a stuntman of any kind. Semantics.
@@Sugas_GirrYou need to not go after one of thousands of Armies who interpret things unless you are willing to lay out "the truth". There are quite a variety of opinions, and that's mine. Including the "queen", as you quote, and several other characters you haven't thought of.
*Suga aka Agust D's Trilogy:* 1-Agust D - Daechwita (turn on CC's) - ua-cam.com/video/qGjAWJ2zWWI/v-deo.html (watched) 2-Agust D - Haegeum (turn on CC's) - ua-cam.com/video/iy9qZR_OGa0/v-deo.html 3-Agust D - Amygdala (turn on CC's) - ua-cam.com/video/IX1dkYoLHVs/v-deo.html *Meanings for the song titles* *Daechwita* - is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while the ARMY is marching or as a static performance usually when the King is arriving. (Suga aka Agust D meant the BTS ARMY to be implied.) *Haegeum* - has two meanings. The first, it's a traditional Korean string instrument, resembling a vertical fiddle with two strings, usually played at Royal Court. Also, it means to lift a ban, or release what is forbidden. *Amygdala* - is an almond shaped part of our brain which is commonly thought to form the core of a neural system for processing fearful and threatening stimuli, including detection of threat and activation of our fight or flight response. The Amygdala helps to store memories of events and emotions so that an individual may be able to recognize similar events in the future.
this is one of the videos that make up a trilogy to understand it they would have to see them in order, starting with AMYGDALA, DAECHWITA and HAGUEUM, basically the king is his alter ego AGUSTD which he wants to destroy, since that alterego was created by his anger, anger and depression and each video an surpassment to that alterego, I recommend the music of AGUSTD is very good all the music of BTS but Suga-Agustd talks about topics such as mental health
I frequently see Arson rec’d to reactors who don’t know JHope and it surprises me as an introduction. Wouldn’t More or Daydream show more depth and breadth? (It’s impossible in 1 song anyway so probably a moot point 😅)
This is the first part of a trilogy next will be Haegeum and last Amygdala. You will understand his videos better if you go to one channel here ( I have forgotten the name) in which it's explained the cultural side that this video shows.
Ok, so I suggest you check out more of the BTS rappers next, there are 3 of them: RM, Suga, and J-Hope. RM is the lead rapper and overall leader of the group, he's the only one that can speak English fluenly. Suga also goes by Agust D when he does his solo music, and it's also kind of his alter ego name as well. J-Hope is not only a rapper but he's also the lead dancer of BTS. Here are some recommendations of some music videos/tracks you should listen to: Suga/Agust D: Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala (in that order, it's a trilogy and tells a story), Agust D (self titled track), and Give it to Me. All those have music videos, but also listen to the songs D-Day, Huh?!, and SDL, there's no music video for those ones, but they're really good. RM: Joke (watch the music video with the English translation!), Monster (no music video but really good), Do You, Persona (under BTS but it's solely him on the track), Still Life with Anderson Paak, Wildflower, and Closer (no music video) J-Hope: Arson, More, Airplane, On The Street with J Cole, Ego, 1 Verse, Base Line, and HangSang (the last 3 don't have music videos but they're really good). Also check out the tracks Ddaeng and Ugh! that the 3 of them did, and their Cyphers that they also did together too, there are 4 cyphers. Cypher Pt. 3 is the favorite in the fandom but my favorite is Cypher Pt. 4. Hope you enjoy! 😊
you guys really need to watch explain mv's or go down the rabbit hole to understand all BTS music - every song means something they write their own songs

Heeey, you caught the cameos! 😂👍 Well spotted. It's a fight here, but it actually looks a lot like their signature "handshake". 😂💜
He´s THE king and THE boss!!!!!!
Never miss the lyrics of the songs of BTS
BTS and k-pop are two different things 🔥
The beat never changes only his flow. Amazing. 💜💜🇧🇷
2:44 yes, Jin and Jk

Their interpretation is less accurate to what Yoongi has said about this song than the one by Bookish Theories.
BTS killing the old traditional music industry(the model of the gun is ARMYxxx no joke)
he's a genius rapper!

Yes you are right that is Jin with Jungkook

You are incorrect too, about the people that were being beheaded... You need to brush up on your research before spreading misinformation.
And that was absolutely NOT the "queen" with the car keys... 😂
