I believe the reason the belts are different lengths is to let the loose hay fall out from between them and doesn't get packed behind them. With my 566 I still have to clean it out regularly. 🙂
@@AndyFromm you need a few people you need somebody to push them through and somebody to pull them out but it’s really easy once you get the hang of it
@@BrooksFarms_est1950 I understand how to do it. Same as installing the pin at the end of the install but when the laces are different and bent up, its pretty hard to get it to work. It was quicker to tape them together than fight a loosing battle with the old laces.

@@jackalopegto could be but like you said I have to clean mine regularly too especially fine grass
Nice job Andy, oh and your Wife did a great job to👍🏻👍🏻
I'd say she did good, I still have all my limbs & digits 😉
@@AndyFromm lol 👍🏻
That’s exactly how we did this, was easy way to do.
Are the old belts any good for anything.
Alot of pickup truck mud flaps? Lol, I don't know
Use old ones for lots of things. Weatherstripping on shop and barn doors comes to mind.
Andy on my 535 it a lot easier to do this from the back side because it has no bar in the way great job it not easy changing belts
I have the net wrapper back there on mine
If you have the old belt it’s a lot easier to hook the two together and pull it through
@@BrooksFarms_est1950 i tried but couldn't get it to work

@@AndyFromm I was taught to work the pins around as you push them in
