I never thought I’d see the day where someone remembered Crash and Bernstein’s existence. The only reason why I remember it so well is all due to this one episode where Crash was in a bubble to protect himself from germs only to get sick and start vomiting for a solid minute and a half. I mainly remember it for a scene where Crash first comes to school and goes through a metal detector, so he drops in the bin a bunch of knives and guns and a canon. After a bunch of school shootings the scene was edited out of all reruns and streaming services
Zeke & Luther, Pair of Kings, Crash & Bernstein, Lab Rats, Randy Cunningham, Phineas & Ferb, Pokemon, Kick Buttowski, Kid vs Cat, Gravity Falls, Slugterra etc. My childhood man. Take me back!
Too bad you never mentioned the absolute banger that was Penn Zero: Part Time Hero, aside from the dumb ending the show was really good, and had a super unique premise. Goes to show the show is so forgotten that it isn’t even in a video about forgotten Disney XD shows.
I really enjoyed Randy Cunningham as a kid and it was really charming as a series. I wish it had gotten a 3rd season, as it really had a lot of potential with its world that I wish I got to see.
The animation studios for Randy Cunningham (Titmouse and Boulder Media) definitely help to make the action more fluid. This was also the show that introduced me to Ben Schwartz, and he nails the role of Randy, though I wonder how James Arnold Taylor would've been in the role. Also, the creators of the show (Jed Elinoff & Scott Thomas) worked on Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, which helps out.
I actually remember hating Crash and Bernstein as a kid because I’d written a sitcom pilot that I’d sent to Disney with literally the exact same premise about a month or so before the show had debuted. I was so convinced that they ripped me off lol. Never ended up watching the show to find out, tho
I could tell Randy Cunningham is the reason why they picked Ben as Sonic for the movie. And since Randy Cunningham was the first series that introduce me of Ben Schwartz,i couldn't think of Randy talking.
I absolutely loved Pair of Kings and Crash and Bernstein growing up. Re-watching them now makes me realize how annoyed my parents must have been all the time.
I still have Nostolgia for Crash and Bernstein, Pair of kings…not so much. I was blown away watching Daredevil S1 and seeing the kid that played Wyatt from C&B playing young Wilson Fisk.
Funny thing, In Japan they LOOOOVED Pickle and Peanut, it got tons of merchandise and had a huge following. So much so that Disney XD's final broadcast in Japan was an episode of Pickle and Peanut
@lostremnant this is the same culture who chose tingle of all characters to not only obsess over but make MULTIPLE SPINOFFS FOR because I guess a lot of people can relate to a fat jobless 35 year old in tights who has delusions of being a fairy when ykno, he's not busy enslaving his family and random people to make giant fucking gold statues of himself and power a windmill or shit by pushing a crank. Yet they hate waluigi
I was actually one of the testing audience kids for Pickle and Peanut before it aired. I don't think a single kid in that room enjoyed it and I was honestly shocked when I saw it on TV later on
I remember watching Crash and Bernstein a ton as a kid. I haven’t seen the show in years, but from what I can remember, I would agree that Crash was the best part of the show. An absolute chad in every sense of the word.
I now remember this one time when the show was on I would keep rewinding the lake shark attack scene in the one episode where they got stranded on Bigfoot Island cause at the time I thought it was really funny.
Gonna be real I actually really like pickle and peanut. That mixed media artstyle scratches a certain itch in my brain and i thought the complete randomness was funny. To be fair I remember hating it as a kid when I first saw it, but it grew on me. 100% nostalgia talking.
honestly same man 😭😭 like idk whenever it was on i’d watch it! like i thought it was pretty alright! i never understood the hate for the show back then but now, yeah now i definitely understand why some don’t like it 😭
i loved it too but i was literally banned from seeing it as a kid from my mom and siblings because they said the show is so stupid that ill get brainrot
Maybe you forgot about Randy Cunningham but I never did. As a kid I was especially obsessed with the fan crossover "The Secret Trio" which included Randy, Danny Phantom, and American Dragon: Jake Long. 14 yr old magical boys with secret identities had a chokehold on a decent sized portion of cartoon fandom tumblr. Not to mention how the secret trio an already fan crossover would crossover with "the mystery kids" another fan crossover
Me neither lol, I ended up rewatching the show here on my phone after Disney XD got shut down and taken off my T.V receiver (idk what it's called) and I also remember other cartoons like boyster, space chickens in space, counterfeit cat, lab rats and a few others that I don't remember the names of. God I miss those shows 😭
Fun fact - William Brent (the actor who played Chase) also got a DUI arrest during production of "Lab Rats", yet he didn't get fired. He prolly looked at Mitchel and was like: "Damn, that coulda been me."
Yeah same. Honestly? I’m glad to see it. I remember liking Kick Buttowski a lot as a kid, and I rewatched RC9GN recently and really enjoyed it. I hope Disney would give the latter another season on D+, since the end of the final season left off on something of a cliffhanger.
I unironically have always loved Crash and Bernstein. There’s always been something about it’s humor that sticks with me all these years later. And I’m so glad someone else has finally acknowledged it’s greatness.
Ah man, i remember watching all of these shows as a kid ...but i must say, seeing arrows pointing in some actors saying "arrested" was like getting slapped by a frozen fish
yes honestly surprised me when he said it wasnt very popular.. i remember that and lab rats were the only shows my brother and i could agree on watching we loved it
I was genuinely terrified of Crash from Crash and Bernstein when I was a kid. I think I just had a phobia of puppets and dolls cause whenever I saw a commercial, I was terrified for no reason. I never even watched the show, it was just seeing him that scared me.
I remember watching Randy Cunningham,Pickle and Peanut and Crash and Bernstein and Slugterra on that channel. What a nostalgia and thank you very much LS Mark for making this video and bring the memories back
I will say, Crash & Bernstein was unironically one of my favorite shows from my childhood along with stuff like Generator Rex, Ben 10, Max Steel, & Ninjago. It has a very nice sense of humor but doesn’t go too overboard to make it feel dumb like Pickle & Peanut which I watched a single episode of & notes that it was too dumb, even for my strange middle school taste in shows. I also really liked Pair of Kings, Randy Cunningham, Lab Rats, Mighty Med, & Kick Buttowski but Crash & Bernstein was peak entertainment for me & still remains one of my favorite shows of all time.

The strangest thing is that I specifically remember both Pickle and Peanut and Crash and Bernstein being promoted on ROBLOX, of all things. There were even in game cosmetics based on these shows.
Can confirm, Disney XD was literally promoted A LOT on Roblox during the early 2010's, but at least there's one thing XD gave us: Skateboards on Roblox. -still killed jetix though so I'm not forgiving them on that.-
@@Allanbuzzy As a late gen z, I can never forgive big companies for anything. Before I was born, Nickelodeon and CN killed so many shows, and I was pissed. 18:25 Pickle and Peanut is one of the only shows I’ve ever seen to truly understand what it’s like to be a post high school/pre college teenager. I’ve literally never seen a character as relatable as Peanut during this one era of my life.
Same here, I finally sat down to properly watch it around mid-late 2019-2020 and it made my childhood and it was through this show that I got more into Jhonen Vasquez's work (and the stuff he helped out on like RC9GN)and finally check out invader Zim which I'm glad I did after Disney XD sadly stopped where I live in at the end of Sep 2020
@TheGlassesPro also the villain's wife is thicc as fuck as well. I honestly can't remember any character name because the show aired a long long time ago. But some of their female character design... still embeded in my mind.
I too feel robbed, maybe one day,if it's possible, there will be a continuation through a comic or graphic novel to give it an official end. Or 30 years from now a fan will bring it back to life by making their own season and putting it up on UA-cam,if it still exists by then. I heard fans of Sonic TAS and MTV Spiderman are working on bringing those shows back but I don't know if they're still working on it or not.
I still have fond, albeit kind of vague, memories of Pair of Kings. I remember watching like every episode during the summer, door closed, AC on full blast, and playing with Legos. I think I liked it because it felt like it had lore. I also stopped watching when they switched Brady out. I didn't know what happened, but it felt cheap. They left the ever important question of Brady's love interest...well, maybe answered, but unsatisfactorily so. The theme song stuck with me for some reason. I do also second the Hicks-Musso Collab album. Make the saga come full circle!
as a kid who was a hardcore pair of kings stan i remember being so bitter about the change because saying brady wasn’t meant to be a king retconned whatever lore they set up in the first two seasons. some other people have said it too, but pair of kings was pretty good for an accessible action-fantasy for kids. i have fond memories of it but i’m too afraid to rewatch it and realize it’s not as good lol.
I genuinely feel like if they had been able to keep going with Brady, it might've been another hit like Wizards or Suite Life to be quite honest. I'm still mourning it hah
I watched it again and I still consider it good, especially when it starts getting into the history of the island, but Season 3 was kinda hard to get through. But Mark was right about Boomer and Brady's chemistry, you'd think they were friends irl!
@@oreo4093 Alex Meyers did Kickin’ It just now. I still hope Keyan will do a longer video on it soon (he’s busy with Wizards right now) and that Alex will cover the other two as well.
Kick Buttowski and Randy Cunningham were like crack to me. I could not get enough of those two shows specifically. PS. Only real ones remember when the internet was obsessed with crossing over Randy Cunningham with Danny Phantom and American Dragon Jake Long.
I see a lot of people mentioning Kickin’ it, but personally a show I don’t think gets enough recognition is Penn zero: Part-time hero. The characters are pretty 2 dimensional, but I remember loving the art style, and the premise of the show was actually pretty interesting and fun. My favorite episode was the cereal one. Such a same it got cancelled after only 2 seasons…
I realized before he even said it how familiar that style was and I was like oh yeah Invader Zim. I actually came across a comic book done by Vasquez a while back it was pretty cool I really like his style.
I remember Crash and Bernstein! I was a huge fan of the 2011 Muppets movie when I was younger and when I saw that on XD I was hooked. Unfortunately looking back it was not as good as I remember, but at least it led to me becoming the huge Muppet fan I am today! Also what happened to Brian in the thumbnails?
What I remember about Disney XD was that it marketed as the “BOY” channel. I remember people thinking that Disney channel was too girly and that’s why Disney XD was heavy on the epic, awesome, and dude bro stuff. Still watched it everything though.
In 2020 me and my friends rediscovered randy Cunningham on Disney+ so we watched all of it over discord and we still use the fake slang from the show with each other today like “what the juice” “shoob” “Bruce” “the cheese” “wonk” and much much more
YESSS, AS YOU SHOULD! THE FAKE SLANG IS SO MUCH FUN :D This show truly was amazing, and imo, it DOES stand the test of time, the animation, action, art style, story, and comedy from this show is all SO GOOD. It deserves its Season 3, and more! :( By chance, did you sign that one petition? That'll be totally bruce of you and your friends to sign!
I'll never forget Tron: Uprising, the show that took all of the cool stuff from Tron: Legacy and bolstered it with a great story and characters... and tragically cancelled after one season
I actually watched Randy Cunningham on TV when I was in school. It has a lot of enjoyable aspects. I especially love the finale, and it solidified my all time favorite trope in any media, the main villain and hero team up to beat an even bigger threat. Glad you talked about it
Crash and Bernstein was literally my childhood. I would quote that show so much as a kid that my entire family hates it now. Something about the surrealist humor just clicked with ten-year-old me. I still have fond memories of the show, it’s not top-tier entertainment by any means, yeah it’s dated and pandering to edgy fourth graders, but it’s just fun and ridiculous that I can’t help but smile at it even to this day. I still revisit it occasionally, if only to remember what a bizarre kid I was. I also remember Pair of Kings, but I wasn’t quite as in love with that show as I was with C&B. Thanks for reminding me of my embarrassing childhood, ginger cartoon man. Cheers!
RC9GN is SO important to me so I was nervous, so it's wonderful to hear you enjoyed it and I'm glad you gave a little shout out to season 2! Such a lovely show that deserved a lot more.
I'm sad that Aaron Stone wasn't mentioned at all in this video. That show has been truly forgotten :( I loved that show and was disappointed when they cancelled it

That's sweet. This and Toon Disney we're my favorite,at first i hate they replace to make it more boy-ish not your typical Disney series, but i started to like the channel before Disney plug out all of the channel from the TV.

such a tragedy that it couldn't get a Season 3 and proper ending and instead we got Lab Rats: Elite Force which was just not it (The OG Lab Rats was amazing though.)
Not even gonna lie, the theme song goes WAY harder than it has any right to. I actually randomly stumbled apon Mitchel's first album on youtube recently, he was a genuinely good singer and alot of the songs unironically slap, in that cheesy Disney late 2000s/early 2010s pop punk way
Randy Cunningham was a potentially awesome show and a part of my childhood It’s sad that they couldn’t make third season and if you’ve watched the finale, you’ll know what I means
I remember absolutely LOVING Crash and Bernstein as a kid. I have fond memories of rapping along to the theme song, dying from laughter when watching it, talking about it to my friends at school, and my sisters completely hating it whenever I watched it. It's one of those things that I don't pay attention to in memory but when mentioned all of these memories rush to my head like a train going at top speed.
I honestly grew up more on Disney XD than I did Disney channel, I always remember loving the shows, especially Crash and Bernstein. The channel was really marketed as for cool 2000s boys more than it was for girls but it really had something for everyone.
I’m surprised it’s so on Disney+. I was so sad when they took it off Netflix it was on Netflix at a certain time. I don’t know if any of you guys now but I use always watch it on there and I think I watch every single episode because every time when I look back on it, I remember the little doll the little sister had and how it always give me nightmares. 😅
Found pair of kings on Netflix when I was a kid and I still have memories of it to this day and re watched the entire show at least twice I remember when maney got an island and the joke was was that they though it was a piece of gum or something then turns out the island is home to a groundhog that poops gold and is the reason the kingdom is rich and they have to go steal the ground hog back show was wild
I remember actually enjoying Crash n Bernstein. It's one of the few shows that actually made me legitemately laugh as a kid. Most shows and cartoons were never directly "Haha" funny, just enjoyable enough to watch I'm In The Band was also one I enjoyed but feels very forgotten by most people
I remember enjoying pair of kings. I already liked Mitchell Musso from his role in Hannah Montana and I was really into adventure fantasy stuff as a kid.
Ben Schuwartz not only used his normal voice for both Randy and Sonic, but also Leonardo from the Rise of the Tennage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dewey from the ducktales reboot
Disney XD always will hold a place in my heart with weird cartoons. Crash and Bernstein, counterfeit cat, billy dilly’s super duper subterranean summer, I loved them all

I 100% agree with you, I couldn’t put it better any other way. Gravity Falls has such a great story and characters along with rc9gn Great writing and cool art 9th grade ninja and gravity falls were my whole life in highschool when they were airing, miss those days.
Ben Schwartz went from voicing randy a ninja to vocing rise of the tmnt leo a blue ninja to voicing sonic who is blue clearly this was some kind of transition. also he voiced Dewey the blue duck in the duck tails reboot. I wonder if he just likes blue. In all seriousness I love Ben's work.
I wish he had talked about Mr. Young. Does anyone else remember that show? It was about some teenage genius who graduated college at like 16 and decided to become a high school teacher. So he has trouble gaining everyone’s respect since he is their age. I loved that show and randomly remembered it recently.
I remember it, tho here in Latinoamerica it was broadcasted by Cartoon Network when they went through their weird phase of producing live action shows. Only thing I remember from the show was the (probably racistly stereotypical) janitor being the best part of it.
I mostly know Mitchell Musso as his role for Jeremy in Phineas and Ferb (and Milo Murphy's Law in that one episode that officially canonized Milo/Amanda) A Phineas and Ferb actor getting arrested sounds WAY MORE interesting than a Pair of Kings actor getting arrested, IMO

The animation is really good in Randy Cunningham, it reminds me now of Rise of the TMNT (another show Ben Schwartz starred in)

I REMEMBER THAT. I think he had a crush on one of the girls he was teaching and one of the two parters had.. a giant chicken? That he tamed I think?
OH MY GOD I FORGOT ABOUT THAT SHOW 😭
Hey guys, Mr Young is actually free on UA-cam right now, you can watch the whole series for free.
I mostly know Mitchell Musso as his role for Jeremy in Phineas and Ferb (and Milo Murphy's Law in that one episode that officially canonized Milo/Amanda)
A Phineas and Ferb actor getting arrested sounds WAY MORE interesting than a Pair of Kings actor getting arrested, IMO
Me remembering him from Hannah Montana 😭😭😭
Mark please don’t promote this scam site again. I urge you to properly do research on them before you make the choice to sponsor them again
😂
crash and Bernstein's humor is the perfect level of unhinged I'm gad you put it that way, it was my favorite show as a kid
I remember being stuck at a relatives house and seeing it and my family hated it so much but that purse joke 😭😭 that was pure gold bro
i'm gad
I absolutely loved that show!!
