It’s not exactly indicative of the gens actual quality orlackthere, and that extends to the modern era too
Tbh a big reason as to why those sitcoms were forgotten just has a lot to do with streaming
There are deadass tons of big shows that blew up that I have 0 attachment too because I just simply didn’t have cable at the time 🤷‍♂️

I remember as a kid watching Bella and the Bulldogs, another sitcom Nickelodeon produced. That show would have worked a LOT better as a drama or at least more serious. A show about a young woman joining her school’s football team in spite of everybody’s judgements and dealing with full on sexism by both other teams and her own… and they destroyed the good moments the show had with cringey subplots, awful humor, and a laugh track that thought a pencil falling was funny.

Poor guy deserves better… oh wait, had it not been for him, Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Kress saying yes to an iCarly reboot and had it been for them being more like Jennette McCurdy by staying away from the network, they would be just as respectable) because of Vinnie’s harassment of women.

There was a short lived sitcom a few years back they had called Talia in the Kitchen that I worked as an extra on for a few episodes.
The show itself was really terrible but the young actors and actresses were super nice and welcoming to hanging out even though I was there for a short time. Director was a nice guy too. Some of the adult actors were very pretentious and the agents that hired us extras didn't even bother to remember our names. But it was really cool to see how this things are filmed behind the scenes. They're shockingly more low budget than you'd think. They really only had like 1 small set and a couple mini sets outside, controlling the camera and shots really created the illusion that the set was larger.
