I love the mood in BL1. You feel so isolated, alone.....no talking over the echocast the whole time. No big cutscenes. Go here, kill this, then go there, and kill that. Love most of the music also.
@@Erbmon Borderlands 2 at least has some moments that shut people down without certain weapons. BL1 and 3 are honestly too easy. 3 literally requires highest difficulty to be hard and 1 I can’t remember well, but I do remember that 2 gave me a lot more trouble.

I like what you’re doing with this content. Sets an expectation with the title and thumbnail. Loses some of the live excitement from the streams, but these are fun and you’re enjoying it!
It is different, but I like it and it seems like many others do too according to the massive jump in the analytics. The day 1, day 2, day 3 playthrough video style hasn't worked as of 2021. In fact, it was slowly killing my channel. I don't want the future of the channel to be only live reactions where the same jokes are made over and over and the same drops/farms are done over and over. I want to make videos more professional. Playthroughs will return once my hands heal, but I will be taking a different approach on how I make playthrough content. I'm gonna make it 100x better
@@Joltzdude139 I'm actually glad to see this comment since I was curious when we were going to get our first Playthrough 2.0. Hopefully your hands heal soon, and you can take some precautions to avoid that same problem. We have plenty of old playthroughs from complete builds to one lifes and alliegance... The infinite bloodwing is something I remember fucking around with back when the game came out and something I would always tell people about whenever we talked borderlands. It's kinda surreal to me to think that was considered lost tech when it's practically the first thing i think about with BL1

I've been loveing Speedruns for as long as I first found out what it was when I was in like middle school so seeing you do stuff now some 7-8 years later is amazing, there's something cool about your favorite content creators making your favorite kinda content/gen

The first time playing a game in known to go very slowly and explore everything, so I think I was a bit over leveled for my entire first play. That exploring habit is the same thing that led me to run across bone head, I was exploring around fyrestone whenever i first got to leave the town. He was at least like double my level.

I just remembered I also own one of those borderlands 1 discs. No internet required so its patch 1.00 on the disc, bought it the same year the game got released back in the day.
I don't enjoys these videos that much. Most people seem to, but I enjoyed the awesome playthoughs the most! It's why I subbed to this channel. Joltzs personality is what makes those playthoughs get so many views and I don't feel these videos have that. But I'll still watch and support you!

Joltz, you should try doing Borderlands weapon reviews. That'd be a cool video concept. You take a weapon like the Flakker from Bl2, and talk about the weapon and tricks you could try with it.
i don't know anything about borderlands speedrunning, so there's a good chance this is well known, but i remember accidentally finding a glitch on ps3 with brick where you would start his action skill and cancel it immediately, you would keep the speed you had during the action skill. i got so used to it that it felt weird playing without it. im sure speedrunners know about this but i figured id share it anyways. one of the only glitches i've found in a game all by myself. also dope video dude
That's pretty funny that the infinite bloodwing glitch helped push the speedrunning community further. I remember playing around with that glitch on the Xbox back when the game was first released. Looking at the insane footage, I never realized it had THAT much potential.

Hey speaking of sledges shot gun I've heard a few ppl over the years say you could actually glitch back into the armory using sledges shotgun by i believe using it to lauch yourself but no one ever elaborated, do you know anything about that?
Single player you can buy a* load of first aid kits and throw them against the wall. Rendering starts to become an issue and you can eventually penetrate the wall to gain access. I prefer just leaving the armory undone and falling in without touching the elevator to farm as long as I want, though.
There was also a few hybrid weapons that did negative damage but had high knock back like I remember a negative damage sniper with the Dahl penetrator barrel and Hyperion invader scope and mag so that you had a blisteringly high fire rate 5 round burst and you could pair that with a double shredder shredder prefix to add an additional 4 projectiles to increase how far you got flung, I remember it being able to send you out of tbone junction safely without dying but then again yiu could just use the car glitch to survive that too
Joltz got a challenge this run spans all games, You have t9 use your worst character in each game you choose the weirdest skill tree set up you know and your chat decides which manufacturer of each weapon that you can use like jakobs only pistols, hyperion shotguns vladof ar's etc, I feel like this would be a great challenge for you co op if you wish , also chat decides class mod and shield manufacturers aswell
Man, I'd wanted so badly to beat the heck out of BL1 with Inifinibird "only" ever since I started seeing your BL2 challenges for the first time. Unfortunately, by that time I no longer had a game I could play on launch version, but a friend and I still have the memory of me doing that to Bonehead: I got there first and started prepping all the birds (console, so crouching + look at ground only), and as my friend (a Brick player) walked in, I stood up and looked at Bonehead, and all my friend sees is this cloud of birds wipe out everything. I wasn't allowed to do that for the rest of the playthrough. Good times~.

Got an interesting idea: How about a manufacturer allegiance run where anytime you die and log back on stream to play (like how chat chooses a name for the character), you'd swap manufacturer in Borderlands 2
Wow I remember playing this game for the first time and enjoying the hell out of it. My best friend and I pulled a all nighter playing this game for 13 hours straight from beginning to end. Man those were great times
New trick of spawning a car next to Sledge's map... this is basically how I have always done it lol. Spawning multiple cars in BL1 just helped save tons of time running back and forth. I just did it for convenience lol XD
Darksmoke11 and Deceptix still dominating BL2 speedrunning even up until yesterday. Darksmoke's 52:50 UVHM run showed that a couple of minutes can still be shaved off the best time. His run (again) between Bad Maw and the end of Tundra was full of mistakes. Whilst his Frostburn and Angel to Warrior were as good as I've seen. A sub 51 is entirely possible...

Until you met Captain Flynt :) I had so much trouble with Flynt I ended up cheesing him outside his arena eventually

It's a co-op only trick. You can duel a friend and he can launch you to the roof of the armory with Sledge's Shotgun.
