this makes me want to recreate this in dark brown but add a ponytail extension put rollers in it for a nice wave and attach it to the top for a very over the top beehive with a high pony, kinda like mother frog's hairstyle in Tom Bluth's Thumbelina film but over the top just a notch.

Batting has so many uses in wig and costume creation. A mat of loose hair brushed out of wigs and then rolled up in a scrap of batting can make a great wig bump, for example, and when spray painted, it can make a great rat for using under the hair for bumps or buns. It's all about using what you have. That is the essence of cosplay thinking and drag, to me. I have always thought cosplay was just drag for straights and geeks (though the gays brought the receipts and served at that banquet, as well). 🙂
I couldn't agree more, darling! I've always thought of my Klingon gear as my "drag". I'm a big, loud woman that used to have crazy English teeth, and wearing that rubber forehead was the only time I would smile with teeth in photos. Got dentures now, but still serving Homeworld Realness whenever possible.
