@ he now knows that he is Wanda’s son, but there’s a difference between knowing somebody is your mother, and considering them your mom. Too difficult concept?
@@Judy_vlHe’s not alive because of Wanda.. he’s alive because of himself.. The comic version doesn’t consider Wanda his mom either, only Tommy does because he didn’t come from a good family. He’s not gonna throw away 3 years for a woman he can’t remember that he knew for barely 10 days.
This was such a beautiful ending to this show. The final episode recontextualizes the entire ballad and the journey on the road in such a perfect way and I respect the show so much for executing properly and even attempting to go this route at all
Regarding your comment about them leaving the door open and to Salem Seven following them down, just to clarify: they didn't leave the initial door open, but when they summoned Rio to Road, it created a door. It's that second opening that allowed the Seven an entry point, because it wasn't sealed after Rio's arrival.
Billy says he's sure Nikky will forgive Agatha for whatever she did. What Billy doesn't know is agatha is a mass serial killer of witches. Agatha used the nursery rhymes her and Nikky sung together and turned them into a siren's call to lure witches to their death for 200+ years
Agatha doesn't want to see Nicky because she is ashamed, she used his ballad to murder witches for centuries. Episode 5 when Nicky tells her to stop (draining Alice), Agatha is reminded how her son could potentially react if they meet in the afterlife.
Showrunner Jac Schaeffer has said she DID write a bunch of potential midcredit scenes for the finale, but Marvel apparently shot them all down so she was finally like 'Well okay I guess we're not doing one then'
54:24 The Doctor Doom storyline titled Young Avengers: Children’s Crusade with Wanda, Billy, and Tommy starts off with Wanda being presumed dead, Billy and Tommy reuniting, then going to find her. I’d recommend it.
54:11 Yes, that’s his destiny, there’s a comic where we see another universe set in the future where he is the Sorcerer Supreme and I believe he had completed his destiny. He’s meant to become the Demiurge, who created the Elder Gods including Chthon who cursed Wanda with her chaos magic as an infant in the comics. It’s a bit of a time paradox. There are times we see Billy tap into his Demiurge powers briefly in the comics using the Semiurge state. It looks very similar to when the pentacle on the floor glowed blue, except it usually is something he projects through his body.
So not sure if it’s confirmed, but I believe Agatha killing witches initially (offering bodies to Rio) is what kept Nicky alive. The moment Nicky didn’t want to go through with a plan is when Rio came for him
Then again, Agatha told Nicky that her magic couldn't heal or protect him, and she didn't know how much time they'd have, which seems to imply the magic isn't sustaining him. We also saw Nicky coughing at that last con job in full view of Agatha. If she believed killing witches was keeping him alive, you'd think that would have made her exceedingly determined to do it that day.
@@marauderdz Well, I didn’t say Magic kept him alive, Death did. Agatha even said killing witches was for survival. If Death can delay him dying at birth from a plea, then she can do it as Agatha offers bodies. And I don’t think Agatha would have tried to keep the con going instead of checking on Nicky to make sure he was okay.

@@AbbyJaneReactsTotally, this was the surprise of the year for me. Marvel has been in a rough spot this last two years, but after everything they've released this year, I'm very hopeful for the future.
What I really love about the way they structured this is that it showcases the ways in which Billy is similar to his mother, but also different. One of the things I really hated about "WandaVision" is how hard they glossed over how what she did to the people of Westview was really freaking awful. I mean she did it on accident...at first. Then she consciously chose to keep it that way. When Monica says "they'll never know what you sacrificed for them" or whatever, it was kind of a crappy thing to say. The people of Westview deserve to hate Wanda for what she did, and I really like how "Agatha All Along" did not shy away from it at all. Even the Ralph Bohner cameo is done a bit comically, but when you listen to what he says and how he's acting you can actually really tell that having Wanda and Agatha playing around in his brain messed him right up. I kind of love how the people of Westview kind of trauma bonded with each other and donated their time to caretaking for 'Agnes' because none of them knew who she was, they just figured she was one of Wanda's victims and felt sorry for her. Billy absolutely faces up to what he's done as soon as he puts two and two together, and the memorial he makes of where his Hex was is a permanent marker of his guilt and a promise to carry their memories with him. To be absolutely fair to him, however, I think that his guilt can be a little lessened. Ultimately, yes, he did make The Witches' Road, but Agatha is the one that lured Sharon Davis down there. If Agatha had actually gotten Alice and Lilia to blast her, she'd have been able to take their power and she would have either figured out a way to drain Jen dry despite her Binding, or she would have just killed Jen and Sharon to get them out of her way. Alice was only protected from dying from the Wu family curse as long as her mother's song remained somewhat popular, but the protection spell was fading -- as she pointed out, she was haunted by a vicious streak of bad luck that destroyed multiple jobs and left her single, alone, and bitter; if she hadn't faced the curse and then died on the Road, she would have burned to death eventually in the real world and potentially passed the curse on to a cousin or something. Lilia was meant to die when she did, and her Trial was largely about accepting the inevitability of death itself, making peace with one's time on earth, and trying to give life meaning. By going on the Road, she found a coven for the first time in over a century, made friends, helped restore Jen's path as a witch of importance (and yes, Jennifer Kale is a comic book character who will almost definitely reappear at some point), saved Billy from being found by the Scarlet Witch while she was possessed by the Darkhold (God only knows how bad that would have gone) and helped him accept the parts of him that were "Billy" and the parts that were still echoes of "William" which unlocked his powers as Wiccan, and also helped change Agatha just a bit to save Billy in the end. Also, arguably, the Salem Seven were completely feral and wild and obviously fully willing to hurt others in their quest to kill Agatha, so saving her coven while also destroying the Seven probably saved others from the mayhem the Seven brought with them. Were all of their deaths tragic? Yes, but you could argue that Sharon's number was up the second she followed Agatha to the basement, Alice was likely only a few years away from dying an ugly death of her own, and Lilia might have withered away into insanity if she'd stayed locked away and miserable and trying to suppress her own power. Also, what I think a lot of people miss about Agatha's line "Because I can't face him!" is that what she says about the truth about Nicholas being "worse" than the rumors about him is actually true. She groomed her own son to help lure innocent witches to their deaths, despite knowing she had a truly limited time with him, and then the second that he died she perverted his innocent road song which was largely about being a loving 'coven two' with his mom into a con to slaughter probably hundreds of witches over the following centuries. She had gallons of blood on her hands that she used his memory to obtain. I don't think it's a coincidence that the echo we hear of Nicky's voice in "Darkest Hour, Wake Thy Power" is simply him screaming "Mama, stop!" Plus, in her little 'lesson' to him, which is the really cruel irony of it all, if you listen to her closely in order she tells Nicholas that "I can't heal you, I can't protect you, and I can't divine when Death is coming back for you." Jen, the Potions witch, is able to heal Billy from nearly bleeding to death. Alice is able to protect Agatha from possession and Billy from both her family's curse and the Salem Seven. And Lilia uses Divination to bring the coven together and ultimately save them all in the end. Every time a witch sees Nicholas they comment on how sickly and frail he looks; he was always living on borrowed time. If Agatha had ever just stopped and formed a true coven of witches, they might have actually been able to give Nicholas a long and healthy life, but she killed every witch she ever came across, and lost him at just six years old as a result. ((also, just to make this horribly long comment longer, I remember in one of the other episodes wondering about Billy being a male witch -- male witches are more rare, both in folklore and in the Marvel universe. I guess men in Marvel are usually more given to sorcery than witchcraft. But either way, the word 'warlock' is derived from a way of saying a villain or distrustworthy person. There is a comic, I forget which one, where someone tries to call Billy a warlock and he angrily corrects them that he is a witch, which is why he takes up the codename Wiccan. Even in the religion of Wicca and other witchcraft-centered forms of paganism, you don't meet male practitioners that call themselves warlocks; we all just call ourselves Witches))
Billy: shes NOT my mom. I HAVE a mom. Me having flashbacks to Anakin in attack of the clones throwing a temper tantrum about obi being his father figure :/ These teen boys and their angst is...a little much
That’s pretty different.. also he wasn’t having a temper tantrum lol. He just wasn’t raised by Wanda and can’t remember her. Same way in the comics, he only calls her Wanda or “the Scarlet Witch.” Tommy calls her his mom because he came from a bad family and he’s the one that wanted to find her.
@EM-fl5od in the show, it appears Billy has some resentment towards Wanda for Westview and sacrificing him + his brother to end West view. Definitely seemed like a temper tantrum towards Agatha.
@ That was him talking to Agatha with attitude just like the last conversation they had, if you watch all the scenes in order, it’s not an outburst, it’s just how he talks to her throughout that whole segment.
What I recommend to people who are upset with Billy is to think of it like adoption. An adopted child might not considering their biological parent their mom. He has zero memory of Wanda. Yes, she is his mother, but she's not his mom anymore. He only remembers one mom and that really should be respected.
I think the "in-universe" / inside the story answer for why Lilia had to die is the same as the out of universe one you gave. As viewers we need the road to be seen to be genuinely dangerous. In universe, for all magic is often sparkly light beams in Marvel, it still needs to be "magical/mystical" and I think that tends to result in magic inside fictional worlds behaving almost like it's trying to make it's world behave like a story. Laws of physics stuff (like being hit with a big sword) is mechanical but for magic to feel magical it has to have that sort of arbitrary/human/metaphorical way of thinking. I think that's arguably the difference that makes magic magic rather than just very fancy technology. I mean that said I hate unfair endings for characters so this comment is partly cope from me!
I too was trying so hard to not to see any thumbnail on youtube lol I keep putting all Marvel reporting channels to not interested until I watched them cause thumbnails and titles really give out a lot sometimes
Also, can we stop calling Billy a murderer- just because he created the road subconsciously doesn't meant he killed them. Do we blame the people who created cars for every vehicle related death that happens? No, the road was conjured from what Billy knew of the ballad and even Agatha manipulating him along the way 'The road will test us and our knowledge of the craft'. Billy didn't choose to bring Sharon, Agatha did. Alice and Lilia knew they could die based on the legend and lore of the ballad and accepted the risks associated with it. While Billy does accept accountability for it and blames himself, he didn't actually kill them
To he fair to SOME male fans, these multiple storylines is frustrating to many fans. I understand why some fans especially male fans get upset when they want to see where Shang Chi's story leads or The Eternals or Spiderman's but then it takes a long time to get to + some films or shows fans especially male fans were looking forward to disappointed them so it becomes disappointing to get a show or film that feels like it's not related to a storyline you want. if jen disappeared from the road and reappeared outside westview after she regain her power...shouldn't Lillia did the same when she finally got to understand her power and purpose before she was killed by the knives?
Lillia seeing her fall beforehand knew she had to make that choice and go like that and her arc ends like that I felt lillia's death much better than Alice's About episode 7 being the best out of 9 agreed with the screenplay being so good cause of the time slipping or seeing like Loki. but definitely not the best I agree ppl bit overhyping it but yeah it was great episode nonetheless was successful in attaching us to Lillia
How do you feel that yhe Salem 7 never killed anyone? They were saying the salem 7 never should've been in the show. Which i understand but i did like them, they were nice and spooky characters rise the tension for me personally even if all they did was die
@@Thed538dhsk I agree with you. If they had had a bigger role than they would have been considered the villains when the focus was supposed to be on how Rio/Agatha and maybe even Billy were the ‘villains’ of the show
The 7 just being a looming threat to Agatha to push things along was important. Without the 7 Agatha likely just leaves Westview far behind and searches for how to reclaim her power at a more leisurely pace. The only reason Agatha goes along with Teen’s desire for the Road is because she needs to pull her old scam to try and get power quick to protect herself from the 7. Agatha knows if she doesn’t get power QUICK Rio’s going to have her permanently very soon. The show would be very different with the 7 chasing Agatha.
I think after no way home Fiegie gave up on trying to stop spoilers lol. Maybe too much on his plate to be able to keep spoilers away. Even the trailers were spoilers tho it's really bad. Endgame was never like this or even agents of shield and the Netflix daredevil.
The way he said that Wanda wasn't his mom, like I don't care who you live with now or what dead body you possess, but you WOULDN'T exist if it wasn't for Wanda and the love she had for you. I know he doesn't understand or see it that way, but he needs to wake up and get it together lol cuz that's the kind of talk that shows you didn't deserve to be created in the first place 🙄
Billy doesn't remember anything not his life in Westview or his life as William and he has thought he was William for the past three years so Rebecca is the only mom he remembers. He only just found out that day who he actually is so to him Wanda isn't his mom not really because he doesn't remember her. I don't think it was a slight on Wanda I think he is still just confused on if he is actually Billy (His question to Lilia in her trial kind of hinted that he still doesn't fully know if he is Billy or William.) I think it will just take time for him to figure it out and accept it.
Even if he had all his memories with Wanda, which he doesn’t, it would only add up to a matter of days with her. On the other hand he’s had 3 years of Mrs. Caplan as his mother. Wanda created him, but Rebecca Caplan IS his Mom.
I’m not sure why people get bent out of shape when Billy says that Wanda is not his mom. He doesn’t remember anything of his time in Westview. He’s been raised for the last three years by Rebecca Kaplan. That’s who he considers his ‘mom’.

Billy has 2 moms now💜❤
3 ❤️💙💜
if jen disappeared from the road and reappeared outside westview after she regain her power...shouldn't Lillia did the same when she finally got to understand her power and purpose before she was killed by the knives?
Lilia never got to complete the last trial. The Road, as Billy interpreted it, was as much about the physical journey as the spiritual one.
@@marauderdz i had hope when Rio only collected Alice soul and and skip lillia's scene...😭😭😭
Lillia seeing her fall beforehand knew she had to make that choice and go like that and her arc ends like that I felt lillia's death much better than Alice's
About episode 7 being the best out of 9 agreed with the screenplay being so good cause of the time slipping or seeing like Loki. but definitely not the best I agree ppl bit overhyping it but yeah it was great episode nonetheless was successful in attaching us to Lillia
What time slipping?
I really really wish they could show more stories between Agatha and Rio. We got to know nothing 😭
@@lu2978 literally! I need to know how they met and how they got together 😭
Agreed! I honestly didn’t miss Rio much, the season tied up nicely, but yeah it would have been nice to have seen a few more scenes of them
Do you not have an Instagram for the channel where we can follow you?
@@kevin41780 not at the moment, might create one in the future :)
How do you feel that yhe Salem 7 never killed anyone? I saw some reviewers say the Salem 7 were pointless and that the dangers of the trails was enough for the show since the salem 7 didnt actually harm anyone just were creepy.
@@Thed538dhsk yeah I think they’ve fully embraced it and even use it as part of their marketing 🙄😂
I mean, you can't really argue the semantics when it comes to an emotional response. He has more memories with a mother who isn't Wanda
Even if he had all his memories with Wanda, which he doesn’t, it would only add up to a matter of days with her. On the other hand he’s had 3 years of Mrs. Caplan as his mother. Wanda created him, but Rebecca Caplan IS his Mom.
