Thank you for your video! Don't mistake natural look and cinematic look. You're doing the later, the contrasts are much higher, and so the clarity is, the color's are popping... Next time you're sitting in a plane look out the windows, most colours aren't as saturated as you would expect it. In the Nvidia control panel there is a setting Colors/Digital vibrance which does apply similar settings. Don't get me wrong, in your vid it looks great, like in a film and if you like to fly youre sim, that's great. But it's not more natural. Yet it's stunning! 💙
Thats what I have been thinking for almost my entire flightsim time. People posting "ultra realistic" settings often post settings which are cinematic, but not real at all. Irl the colors are pretty "boring", no saturation, no extra fancy stuff.
1:50 "the first thing you need to do is make sure you have Nvidia Control Panel opened and that you have experimental features enabled". Or instead you could try opening Nvidia Experience instead of Nvidia Control Panel.
I don't see the clarity option for the nvidia filters. I have experimental features on and I have nvidia control panel. I'm on the latest driver too. How do I fix it?
I've been using ReShade, but the main caveat i can see is the dynamic range. Turning contrast and darks up tends to make the dark areas too dark at night etc. In real life your eyes adapt and even out brightness in the day and darkness at night.
Exactly if you get it looking rich in the day then it won't look bright enough at night. can't really complain I'd just like to take that scum off the scenery caused by lighting everyone argues is realistic?
@@xeno._yt what does this do in the cockpit, does it look right looking out the window, I'd assume it would lighten the panel and darken out the window. But we know usually this goes the other way around
My sim is running fantastic but I can't seem to get over how washed out the sim is above about 10,000 no matter what we do. In Nvidia I can do all sorts of things but fsx had visibility. To me it's the aerosol density that's what it feels like, I heard another guy talking about xplane 12 and he said man the lighting is way better in xplane. I'd have to agree.
Just picked up on this and it looks pretty decent. My problem is that I don't see the 'Clarity' filter and at the top, just beneath 'Game Filter' I see 'Image Sharpening' and it is set at 80% but it is greyed out. Any ideas how to get round these two problems?

i have the experimental section ticked. So what is the next procedure What do i open in which order? How do i get the FS2020 background with the freestyle window option to see the changes being made and if i like them. I hit the ALT F3 but nothing happens no free syle control panel nothing. Does this actualy work can someone list the part which tells you how to get started after you have ticked the experimental section as this stage has been skipped in the video. If i could get things open them i could try this solution. Can someone please give a from the start explanation. Thanks.
Thanks for the setup guide. The most important setting is how to tone down the extremely over-exposed clouds in MSFS. I think your tweaks are way too contrasted and way to grainy, The runway textures are awful because you've overdone either the "clarity" or contrast or both. Also your skies are turning turquoise instead of blue. It might look more cinematic to some, but it isn't at all natural looking.
Thanks for the video. Do you know of anything similar that would work in VR? I have been wishing for a reshader for VR for a while but haven't seen anything for WMR+OpenXR (not SteamVR).
Hi Hay Quen, have you figured out a way to get use of this function in VR? I love flying in VR…hopefully you do have an idea. I use WMR+OpenXR as you do.
Try the Open XR Toolkit which allows you to adjust contrast, brightness and other settings in VR. Great You Tube tutorials on Oen XR Toolkit by Pie In The Sky and Sim Hanger.

Another big thank you!
I got referred by a friend on discord and this video is awesome!
Can you display an overview on what your current settings are?
In game they are continually changing, same goes for the overlays, you will have to play with settings in both to achieve best results! GOOD LUCK!
When I do this the overlay doesn’t save when I press done. It will save for the flight but not when I play the next time?
Please tell us where you got the extra filters that we all don’t have.
Thanks for answering the people who you get all these filters from. Because man of us dont have them…
Hi, what post processing values have you got set in the user config?
In order to be consistant. adjust outside of the aircraft and at noon or when sun is straight up and clear skies. then let it fall where it may.
Doesn't work for me. When I press Alt + F3 it says "A supported game is required to use this feature" Does it work if you bought MSFS on the MS store?

Seriously I like the default MSFS cause it looks natural. Your setting looks just cinematic with so much contrast
