We’re going to get a glancing blow in my area, I’m in manatee co, south of Tampa. The storm will make landfall in the panhandle. It’s going to hit them as a strong Cat3 or Cat 4, they’re going to take a lot of flood and wind damage. The west coast barrier islands took a beating as Helene passed. This video was light hearted but not designed to undermine the seriousness of the situation. This footage was taken after one of the outer bands on the East side had passed.
Thanks for taking me along for the ride brother. I enjoy hanging out with you. You're are the type of person that i would hang out with. Im not a auto mechanic but i am a gear head. I do work on my own ride with prayers and u tube lol. Thanks for doing what you do. Thanks for keeping it clean. God bless brother.
It looked like a landmine to me too. That rotor looked nice with the grass growing in its belly. Old rotors would make for nice, very durable, plant pots. Stop recycling them and start repurposing them Ray. If more soil is needed for the plant then brake drums could be used.
I haven’t watched the news in 2 weeks. I went to Walmart and saw so many people with water. I was able to narrow it down between another pandemic, or a hurricane. Then I saw toilet paper on the shelves. It was then that I knew a storm was coming.
You don’t have to watch cable news to stay informed, being willfully uninformed to the point where you don’t know a hurricane is coming just seems… stupid
@@Fitz710 in FL. It is normal. I live in an area where it wasn’t going to really hit. They come fairly fast too. But hey, you want to insult me without knowing me, just says a lot about you.
I live just south of Tallahassee, and we are very lucky that Helene turned a little to the east. We were in the middle of it's forecasted track for a scary time. I feel for the folks that were in the final path. We are without power, but we have generators. No trees or big limbs down, . It's amazing how much difference it makes when you are on the weaker side of a hurricane.
I have an aunt that lives in Manatee County; I think she's had to evacuate once and she's lived there for 42 years. She lives in a place called Mount Vernon on Independence drive near Parma Sola. GREAT VIDEO!
Awesome Ray! I'm glad you guys are taking advantage of the moment and just having fun before it gets bad. Fun fact: I make those Culver's cups up here in Ohio :) Rest assured that much of the fast food paper beverage and food containers are indeed made in the plant I work at for most of the East Coast! Please recycle accordingly! Stay safe!
I like the inner Florida man coming out in Ray's videos. Nothing like driving an ATV barefoot in a little wooded off roundabout with your wife warning you to keep her out of the mud.
good showing what is what. hope it by passes you and no issues! I know you go and shut down, and go help family and friends! our worse storm was oct 06,2006 the trees still had leaves and we had a heavy wet snow come down, the maple trees in the yard looked like pines! , the street going ~1.5 miles had 57 broken cross bars! with out power for 13 days! went 40 miles to next big town for a generator! best wishes for a safe and successful helping friends and family!
Being from New Orleans. No explanation needed. Hurricanes just seem to bring out a strange sensation. Excited, but kinda scary. You have a beautiful property and life. I used to live in Clearwater Beach. I rode out hurricane Keith. Nothing like Helene. But it rose the water about 4 feet. Scary but exciting. Love your car repair videos. Please stay safe. It's gonna be a little worse tonight.🤞💪
It seems to me that last hurricane you had the Duramax parked right by your house so that you could power up the house if needed. Keep us apprised of your situation, we worry about you!
After hurricane berly hit Jamaica when we were on holiday after the winds died down then it was followed by lots of heavy rain which did flood a lot of places I never thought I would ever experience I hurricane in my life time its something I see only on tv but now I now when I see it on the news I can appreciate the power thay have you guys kept safe
I got deployed by my company to Largo. I now can’t leave because one, they want me here through the weekend and two, all 4 bridges into Hillsborough County are still shut down.
I was thinking about you guys today when I heard your regional weather warning. I'm in Phnom Penh and get all the news. You seem pretty well prepared and this isn't your first rodeo. See you on the other side. 🖖
When I was in Wyoming during the early 80's we had a storm. The base was completely flooded and the storm drains washed out into a massive hole. All the cars and track where stacked in the drains pit. Myself and a co worker were in his house on base and the water level was about 8 to twelve inches on the windows. Because of the hail there was about 4" of ice on top of the water. It was a very interesting experience. Fortunately his Wife and kids were in Indiana with family when it happened.
Thanks for the update Ray! We have family just outside of Jacksonville which is a couple of hours north of you. We're not going to sleep very good tonight knowing what's going on. 😮
We had a 62mph guest here in Lake Sarasota... Near Bee Ridge Rd and I75... And about 4" of rain so far at 630am on the Friday/ next day... Only a few minor branches down...
I visited my cousin in Ft. Myers many years ago and he took me out into an undeveloped area of Cape Coral. There were many sand trails crisscrossing through the woods. At each intersection there were puddles. My cousin had a lifted F-100 Pickup, so we blasted through the puddles. We charged through one and it was a little deeper than the rest. Water washed over the hood, but we had enough momentum to make it out to the other side. The truck recovered after it sputtered some, but we dodged all the rest of the puddles on the way out.
Following some news in the Netherlands about the storm over there... Hope you, your family, and friends are safe and stay safe. Of course including the ones from Dave and Justin. Maybe you should bring in some Dutch people, they are great in keeping out the water 😂
We don’t get many hurricanes passing through Wisconsin. Do animals come seek refuge on the higher portions of property there? Like around your home area? Just wondering…
Y’all stay high and dry! Been through a few of these. Telephone Engineer. Had a crew set up to be on site after the storms moved through. All nine Southern States. You’ve got a nice spread there! 👍🏼

Rent a forestry mulcher to clear the shrubbery.
Be safe 😊
I wish the best to everyone in the path of the storm. Stay safe 🙏
600,000 without power now and winds at 160mph
I love seeing Ray do Florida Man shit like this. lol
In all seriousness, though, I hope you guys stay safe.
Lauren was like 'I'M GONNA DIE when you were pushing 50 on the SxS!
Good luck to you guys! Batten down the hatches!

Mr Ray, this is your best video ever.. you are truly a blessed man..🇺🇲👋
Stay safe and good luck from Australia.
Cool property thanks for sharing stay safe god bless 👍😎🍺
You’re lucky it WAS a brake rotor!! Looked more like a land mine to me at first!!😂
Either way not something you wanna clip with the mower 😂
@@shannon-852 at least it it's a mine, you don't have to suffer living with a destroyed mower lol
One lets you learn from your mistake, the other one wont!😂
Funny but TM-62 popped into my mind when I first saw it.
It looked like a landmine to me too.

hi Ray. keep the updates coming if possible.
Thanks for the update. Take care guys
Glad to stumble upon Rainman Ray I do whatever I want on this channel. Hope all is good with what Mother Nature has sent your family
I hope the morning finds you well and dry........well, mostly dry. Thanks for the ride around.
Thanks for the video! Taking time in your busy preparation for us. Good luck
You and your family Be safe 🙏 love your content.
Wow - that looks like so much fun. Way to make the best of a somewhat stressful situation.

I don’t watch the news either so I found out when my dad started getting canned foods
I think many people are not watching the news now.

Thanks Ray for letting me ride along and not getting me muddy. You guys stay safe 💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸🇨🇱🇨🇱🙏🙏✝️✝️

Hey Ray, have you ever thought of putting tracks on your atv/utv? Never get a flat and never get stuck.
