Earning my trivia point here because both of you guys should know this lol... "General Spectre" is a play on the name of the band Spectre General (aka Kick Axe) who did the song "Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way" from the 1986 TF Movie... Thanks as always for the updates BvC!
At that time I was 9 and didn't listen to any of the groups on the soundtrack and probably haven't listened to any of those groups music since. Loved some of the songs on the soundtrack but no real connection to the artist
22:47 WOW! Great head sculpt. I’m FINALLY putting some figures on the new bookcase that I got recently. And I am dedicating a shelf to the 86 movie. So I may get that new head sculpt for Kingdom Rodimus. Unless Hasbro does an 86 Rodimus. Because that original head sculpt make Rodimus look like he has seen some stuff.
BobberrenoBot, thanks for remembering the question I posted to your last video, regarding "Specter General." It was the alternate name improvised by the '86 movie soundtrack producers for the Heavy Metal band called *KICK-AXE* in order to credit their musical contribution. They regarded "Kick-Axe" as too suggestive for minors (the movie's main audience) because of the source that inspired it, the phrase "kick-ass." Worried about its potentially corruptive influence on young listeners and its capacity to offend their parents, the producers opted for a "safe" alternative. However, they neglected to obtain the band's approval or even notify them of the change! Believe it or not, Kick-Axe still tours, albeit sporadically, and they do include their two Transformers-related songs in their live set ("Hunger" & "Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way"). JimmyCon, I thought you'd have an edge over Bobby in answering my "Specter General" question because of your taste in music. But perhaps Kick-Axe is too "before your time" or just too "tame" in light of your penchant for Metal's more extreme sub-genres. Nevertheless, I'd recommend you give them a chance - you might hear a few songs you'll enjoy. You can listen to every Kick-Axe album for free on this platform! "Jezzy?" Hmm.🤔 I think it's only a matter of time before some East-Asian Third-Party toymaker names their version of Jazz . . . "JIZZ" - all the while being completely oblivious! 😄
I'm startting to think Mecha Invasion may just win the Devastor Wars. Yes it's not Toon accurate but Damn they look good. Also they are sturdy and don't feel like they will break if transformed too often like some other MP scale figs.
I have to poke at you guys on the Tidal Wave. Yall hated on the hasbro but it’s the best one by far in my opinion. Lol. Another great show!! Thanks guys!
Great show! My NA EX Snarl is in the mail! I’m so excited to complete my collection of NA EX Dinobots! That legends scale Predaking looks awesome. If he scales well with NA figures, I might pick him up. The more I hear (or don’t hear) about this giant Metroplex is really putting me off. I’m starting to think I’m going to pass on it.
@ who are these peoplE…. ? Seems strange… or maybe everyone’s ego is involved wanting the biggest transformer. It looks horrible in the legs. Well, the reviews are going to be hilarious that’s all I can say.
Hi again! Favor, pretty please - might I trouble you to confirm the version of Drift at 48:00? Really want to pre-order, but I’m not sure which version this is… anytime I search ‘Iron Factory Drift’, I see an IDW-style IF Drift that looks like a Legends scale… Awesome vid, as always. Thanks, Gentlemen. \m/,😊,\m/
I like the look of the Jazz, depending on the price I might try to grab him. I'm on the fence about General Specter. I was originally going to grab him, but I don't know if I need a (checks list...) fourth MP sized Magnus.
It's not the size and price comparison that I've talked about. It's that I would prefer G1 aesthetics so I'm not sure if I want to spend the money on just the size and be missing on the design I want. I've heard the same sentiment from several collectors
James might be slipping a bit, Bobby pre-ordering something should never be a surprise.....lol That Legends scale Predaking looks very G1, have to see some more but the sword in the picture looks amazing. Jezzy, my man-ezzy, looks interesting. Alt-mode seems a little blocky (Lego like), but have to see cost and transformation first. Are you guys planning on doing the obligatory top 10 video for before or after the new year?
@botvscon well, so far, I think I like the titan over the original. It just feels so solid and huge. The original has all the gimmicks. I'm hoping that the FH one will be a mix of the two. Plus, it comes with 2 minicons, so I can give one to the titan
I am not buying the Lewin Resources Metroplex because I don't like the stylized version they went with it. Even if they had done a G1 faithful version I would be very worried with their lack of sharing how much the installments will cost with shipping and when they are expected to be coming out. They seem to be making quite a few of these, but I am not sure the demand will be there, so we shall see if they can finish this thing in a satisfying way for their consumers. There is just way too much at risk here for me to want to go in on good faith. With that said, I am still going to very interested in seeing video reviews for this thing when and if all parts ship and it gets built. If they somehow can pull it off, my hope would be they offer a G1 version in the future.
I saw a Drift pre-tool with those blades attached to the hip like that. Also someone said the alt-mode looks like a Lego car and I can't unsee that now lol. Both things being said, I'm still in on this figure, I think he'll look great next to the DX9 Sideswipe and the DST Prowl coming out soon if they scale as well as I think they will.
23:10 WOW! Great looking figure.
Completely agree
32:55 WOW! Awesome Predaking.
It does look good

That Jazz looks like a transformable version of the Flamestoys Kuro Kara Kuri Jazz.
This looks great

Yes the original looks like he did some hard time. This new sculpt is beautiful

Wow! Never knew that and you gave a serious look behind the scenes
Spectre General was the name of one of the bands that contributed to the soundtrack for the '86 movie
Thank you for that
24:11 The “Cybertronian” vehicle mode looks very interesting. When I saw it, I thought it was a Lego set.
It does favor the higher end Lego cars
Starscream is getting a golden shower 21:40
Haha
...and now we know the source of the Golden Lagoon
"Prime, stop lubricating the Seekers!"
I'm startting to think Mecha Invasion may just win the Devastor Wars. Yes it's not Toon accurate but Damn they look good. Also they are sturdy and don't feel like they will break if transformed too often like some other MP scale figs.
Great point about the transformation.
I have to poke at you guys on the Tidal Wave. Yall hated on the hasbro but it’s the best one by far in my opinion. Lol. Another great show!! Thanks guys!
James was upset that it didn't have a minicon, I thought it was too expensive but it does look good.
Bingo Toys Jazz looks really cool. So far I'm interested
Yep it's coming home
James :” I love the big thruster right in the back…..” 👀 this episode has definitely taken a particular turn 🤣
21:35 Wait! What?! Dammit, James! Now I can’t unsee that image of Prime doing an “R. Kelly” on Starscream! LOL! 😂
I just wanted to say that my three favorite transformer UA-camrs are you guys bots vs cons. And the tyderium hanger you three guys are the best.
Thank you very much. We really appreciate that
Great show as always thanks. Can't wait for the devy wars.
We recorded the first episode. Now it's up to the companies to start releasing figures
Spectre general was the name of one of the bands that did the music in the original transformers animated movie.
Thanks for that. Never kept track of the name of the bands on the soundtrack.
That Jazz will most likely be pre-ordered once I see it coming.
It's up in some places now
I'm leaning more and more towards passing but release date and shipping price will be the ultimate decision
It’s crazy that they made so many of those giant metroplexes….seems very risky of a business move.
They had preorders for them
@ who are these peoplE…. ? Seems strange… or maybe everyone’s ego is involved wanting the biggest transformer. It looks horrible in the legs. Well, the reviews are going to be hilarious that’s all I can say.
that Armada universe wheel jack headsculpt sort of reminds of Prima Prime 🤔
I can see that
Jazz car paint it peer black. And that's Batman's car.
Great show.
Thank you. I can see that now that you mentioned it about the Batmobile
General Spectre is a reversed name for Spectre General, the name of the group that was showcased on The Transformers: The Movie soundtrack.
Thank you for that
14:20 maybe Getaway? He was a repaint in MMC. Maybe this company is taking a similar route
Ahhhh good eye there. That would be cool
that is the idw jazz look and if i can rember i thinkn he uses them in the comics if i remeber
Thanks for that. Never read the comics
Hi again! Favor, pretty please - might I trouble you to confirm the version of Drift at 48:00? Really want to pre-order, but I’m not sure which version this is… anytime I search ‘Iron Factory Drift’, I see an IDW-style IF Drift that looks like a Legends scale…

No problem. It's MMC/Ocular Max Infinity Finity IF-02 Stray
@@botvscon OK, excellent; many thanks.
:)

I'm on the fence about General Specter. I was originally going to grab him, but I don't know if I need a (checks list...) fourth MP sized Magnus.
I know how you feel. I know I don't but 🤷🏾
Loving that BT Jazz
Same here. It is beautiful.
13:07 BBTS has the DK62 guns for $8.
Thank you for that
BINGO TOYS JAZZ IS DOOOOOOPE !…I want it
Still waiting on my Ultra Magnus too.
Yes and yes. Come on with the UM already. Jazz is bought
Silverbolt is my favorite BW character
👍🏾
The chest plates and all around design of the chest does look different on the excavator and bulldozer for Mecha invasion devastator
They did a great job with the color but the transformation is the same overall
@@botvscon still the treads being the soles of the feet is sick
How tall the Bingo Toys Jazz?
We haven't seen any measurements so far.
People who buy really large bots probably don't care about the price.
It's not the size and price comparison that I've talked about. It's that I would prefer G1 aesthetics so I'm not sure if I want to spend the money on just the size and be missing on the design I want. I've heard the same sentiment from several collectors

Hopefully we can get it in before the New Year but it may be hard as we have some scheduling conflicts coming up.
That Predaking looks far too much like the MMC version that's ancient. If I wasn't told I would have thought it was the MMC just from the pictures.
This is legends scale though. I think the Legends collectors will be happy
I thot Fantastic Model Margh wuz based on that old lady truck driver from Pee Wee Herman's movie. "TELL EM' LARGE MARGE SENT YA"
Ahhhh that could be lol. I forgot all about that movie.
I like all 3 Tidal Wave figures. I have the original Takara one, the Hasbro titan, and I've already paid for the FH one 😊
Very nice! Curious which one you will think is the best
@botvscon well, so far, I think I like the titan over the original. It just feels so solid and huge. The original has all the gimmicks. I'm hoping that the FH one will be a mix of the two. Plus, it comes with 2 minicons, so I can give one to the titan

I need a G1 version in the worst way. I don't know where I'm going to put this thing should I follow through with it.
i rekon the that could be energon rodimus @15:00
I don't think so since these kits are for the fembot bike molds
I hate when my transformers get damaged by miracles
It's always the miracles that do it
@@botvscon 🤣
That cybertronian jazz what's too much like wheeljack.😂 All I see is a lancia
Agreed. Still looks good though 😞

Dude i. Am really interested in bingo toys jazz. Jazz never used swords, i wonder if they're leaning towards his Martial arts background
I didn't think he did. This figure looks great either way
12-14-24 the day my brain was introduced to Transformers golden showers ……. Some things you can’t unsee!!! 🫣
Haha. Exactly
