Fun Fact : Flødeboller is the go to birthday treat in Denmark. When someone is celebrating their birthday in school they typically has a box of flødeboller with them that they share with the entire class.

The sad thing is, most of these sweets are mass-produced in factories, and therefore aren't that great. If only you could've tried a freshly baked citronmåne or some romkugler/flødeboller/havregrynskugler from a baker.

Stubbiish You're half right, the mother company is german, but the department where most of the liquorice we know in Denmark was a Danish company, producing for the danish market (Haribo Lakrids). Either way, Malaco is actually Swedish - so your logic falls flat either way

Some extra info on this candy:
The strings are called shoelaces and are available in liquorice or strawberry.
The hard ones are bonbons from a factory that used to be (maybe still is) located in a backyard on North Street in central Copenhagen. Like all bonbons they should be sucked slowly. The factory / brand offers many tastes and colors of bonbons.
KiMs is a major brand of potato chips etc. SBRØD is a recent type whose name is a cross between sprød (crunchy) and brød (bread). It is meant to look like slices of rye bread.
Cocio (pronounced kokio) Cocoa milk is sometimes known as a "Congo beer", though that is not PC. It is sold mostly at hot dog stands and is drinkable without refrigeration.
The Lemon Half Moon is a really cheap thing. In movies this is what Danish cops eat instead of doughnuts.
The way he pronounce Æ, Ø or Å is priceless

im impressed, headbutting is probably the best way to eat flødeboller. its just better. no reason why really. back when i was in public school, on the last day of school the eldest class (whom weren't comming back next year) would throw caramels at the younger ones and have flødebolle throwing competitions... so messy, very lovely.
We never had flødebolle competitions all we had was caramel throwing, a competition between teachers and students (like soccer or rundboldt) and the students nominated the teachers, gave them gifts, and entertained us
we did that too, i guess the flødebolle thing is regional
