    Thank you for your Tips.
    One thing I also do is talking pictures with my work in progress so I can see which Hook I used for this, as I have a large collection of hooks from different sizes and brands. And I always have several projects that I am working on. I also attach the yarn I use to a small cardboard and write the name oft the brand, the color number etc on it, so I it is easy to find the information if I have to buy more and having this project card makes it easy for me to organize my projects too

    So many great ideas and a list of times where I can find them. That's the best tip of all. When looking for yarn at a Charity shop I have often seen blankets made of "so called" Granny Squares which don't seem to sell and I know why. They have often used dull colors and only one or two. Yours look like flower gardens. I never thought taht my next project would be made of Granny Squares. Color I'm looking for. Thank you so much.

    Great tips. My greatest trick is this. When you find youve got only a short end left to weave, first determine where the yarn needs to be ran through and insert your needle first into that, very close to the place where your yarn is coming from your work. Now, thread the yarn into the already placed needle eye, pull on yarn so that it is not tight at the eye, giving the needle a chance to start feeding into your work with no resistance. The needle will weave in that small tail with ease.

      Aren't the SB needles amazing? The hook thing was so WEIRD but a commenter made a good point that it might have been because it was a low end (CHEAP haha) hook and they aren't consistent with their sizing. Very possible but that's okay as long as I make sure to use the same one on a project. lol

Would like to add a tip I watched from @HollyAuna about using a tennis ball or makeup sponge as a way to make your hook handles more economic. I've tried using makeup sponges, the egg shaped ones, and they do help a lot with my wrist pain and are so much more comfortable to hold. Hope this helps others who may also be suffering from wrist pains.

    It's possible that over 10 years of using the same hook that you've worn down the metal and made it thinner. But I think that the sixing between brands isn't always accurate. Use a caliper to check the diameter of the shaft for correct sizing.

    Hi there 😊 I'm new to crochet, so apologies if this is a silly question, but what are the benefits of using a double magic ring versus a single? I think the double looks a lot easier to make. Is it simply an alternative, or does it have a specific use? Many thanks 🥰

    • @PlayHookywithMe
      @PlayHookywithMe  Рік тому +2

      Not a silly question… the double magic ring was the original version and it holds more securely than the single. The single is easier for most crocheters to do so that’s usually used more.
      So in short, yes, it’s just an alternative but has a stronger hold. 😀🙌🏻🧶
