    This looks sooo cozy and inviting(You would have trouble getting me off the bench). The window took it to the next level. Great transformation!

    I have to say that I like that "little bit nothing" light you have dropped from the ceiling, I didn't notice it at all the first time I watched. It is perfect, it does not detract and shows what a subtle and elegant designer you are! Just amazing.

    Looks amazing Jena. My house flooded from Harvey here in Houston and I painted all my kitchen cabinets and every cabinet in the house Pure White from SW it's such a gorgeous white I love it. Sometimes according to the lighting it has a very faint shade of gray. I love it.

    This is absolutely gorgeous and so cozy, I'm going to figure out where I can put one in my 90-year-old house in New Zealand. I love how easy-to-follow your videos are, inspiring but never overwhelming. Thank you so much for sharing this project! ♡

    Your cat is VERY grateful for the extra look-out space (not to mention lounging space!). :)

    OMFG - use the speed square as a guide... that just blew my mind! So simple and obvious yet this is the first time I've ever considered doing that. I now feel stupid for years of avoiding my circular saw due to my exceptional ability to not cut a straight line. I know it was just an off-hand thought for you, but thanks anyway you just changed my shop life. 5:23

    Ive Benn binge watching all your videos & I think this has been my favorite build so far. I absolutely love how it turned out. I always wanted a nook like this but have never been in a spot to build one.

    I love how you say "WE", when your husband is working his butt off! Somebody has to hold the camera, right? Great solution and thanks for posting this tutorial. I like how the hardware and the sconces and even the mullions of the windows all tie together. I would have been afraid of being a Joan Gaines wanna-be for using the "shiplap", but I don't see that here. Question: did you use primer on the bare wood or just a couple of coats of paint? Did they put a zipper on your "mattress"? Some people would put a little lip on top of the bench to hold the foam, but you could always velcro it to the top if it slides around too much. Excellent work again Jenna Sue. The basic construction of this can be used in many different applications.

    • @JennaSue
      @JennaSue  5 років тому +1

      Thank you! The SW paint I use always has primer built in so no need for an extra step. The cushion is zippered/removable, and does not slide easily at all (there is a small lip on the bench, hard to tell) but we would add velcro in the future if needed.
