I absolutely love your channel! You made me cry today when you showed your hand-stitched quilt. I have been searching for ideas to use my mom's clothes for memory quilts to give her great-grandbabies. That quilt is stunning! God Bless You!!❤❤
Oh you are too kind! What a precious project of the memory quilt. Take your time working on that. Those can be a difficult process but so worthwhile! Thank you so much!!
Thank you for helping us remember the good things in life, Be it little or big. I am thankful for all the drawers and closets cleaned out this weekend. I’m helping someone, while helping myself.
Love to be a recipient of the beautiful quilts. Thank you for being so kind and generous 💕
Love that! Helping someone and helping yourself ♥️♥️♥️
Hi Amy. Well, I'm going to be "cheesy" too!!! YOU bring joy to all of us, as well as enthusiasm, inspiration and the giggles we need to function in this crazy world. I, for one, am beyond grateful. Hugs from Canada, as always.
Oh thank you! You’re the best.
Hey, Amy! Yes, I would absolutely love to see you with your own Live video(s)! Your challenge quilt is beautiful! Kudos to you-and Anna, of course! So much talent in your family. ❤️
Looking forward to seeing your Sharpie-themed video on May 1st!
Thank you, and stay well!

Thank you so much!
1. I finished my son’s wedding quilt with 2 king size pillowcases and a decorative quilted pillow with 10 days to spare. 2. Finished a UFO top and prepped the binding and backing. 3. Quilting a gift for my niece’s graduation with her masters tonight. 4. Saw my grandsons this weekend. 5. Enjoyed a nice dinner out last evening and I stomped my husband at dominoes. 6. Making plans with friends. 7. Stained a haybale door that will be put up on our newly restored barn when it is finished. 8. Enjoying your channel and Patreon hangouts. 9. Ready for the wedding this Saturday. 10. Looking forward to a quilting retreat in May with my peeps!
What an awesome list!! Thank you for sharing and I hope the wedding is amazing!
Joy makes all of our lives happier. We can put those memories in a bucket to help us get through the tough times. BTW, you're not "cheesy". Anytime other people can lighten your life, it's good to acknowledge it and let it pour over you. You have brightened my days many a time and I appreciate it. Keep smiling 😊
Thank you 😊 so very much!
I love my QS rotary cutter. I have the same one and I ❤️❤️❤️it! I believe it’s changed my cutting life.
Good to know! Thank you so much!!! I love it so far.
The Grovers make me think of my sister choosing There's A Monster at the End of This Book for her bedtime story for like sooooo long. Running, sewing, and reading bring me joy.
That’s still one of my favorite bands oks ♥️.
Cheering me up is the trees turning green again spring sunshine through the branches after a shower, my family and friends making my birthday special(yesterday 6th). Reading every day, and a new quilt to make for my Goddaughters first baby. Oh and sharing your special joys.❤
So special and happy birthday. Thank you for sharing!!
Fabulous video Amy! Yes, we need to make these lists sometimes because life can get hard! Something that is making me happy right now is having a little time to slow down and be a little lazy. I can get so busy sometimes and non stop working!
So true! I’m glad you’re getting a respite!
Thank you for sharing this video! I really needed to see it today! It made me pause after a very stressful week and think about what really makes me happy and focus on the positives in my life! I’m usually a very happy upbeat person but this last week was challenging! Today, I’m going to take time to focus on all the wonderful positive aspects of my life! I wish I could convey just how grateful I am to you for reminding me to focus on what makes me happy!❤❤❤Thank you so very much!!!😊
Oh my goodness. I’m so glad it was helpful and I hope your stressful week is moving in a positive direction. Your approach to today is inspiring.
Cheering me up right now is hanging out in my yard sitting on my swing with my dog, Teddy, my loving companion🐶❤️
♥️🐶
Should have added that I’m also enjoying a Bloody Mary😊
Always a good idea ♥️
Very pretty heart quilt. Hand stitching can slow down the pressures in life.
So true! Thank you.
You are such a positive force in my life. When I’m down, I watch your channel and it cheers me. (Of course I watch anyway, even if I am not down!)
I'm so glad! You are too kind. Thank you! 😊
I have both of those rotary cutters and I love them I would definitely be up for a live and I just joined your patron
Oh thank you so much!!!
I finished the center of the paper pieced medallion quilt from Becky Goldsmith's AAQG workshop earlier this year! The pieces of card stock and fabric are cut for all twelve surrounding blocks and ready to go.
That’s awesome!
Thank you for being here. You cheer us up. Love your channel
You are so kind. Thank you! 😊
Laying in bed on the weekends watching my favorite content creators! Next, having a 4 day weekend after several 45-48 hour weeks at work. And today is soon to be yummy sourdough something. I have a freshly fed and bubbling starter waiting to satisfy me. Unfortunately, that means more dishes to do; but I'll take the good with the bad 😊
Oh such wonderful things!!!
I love watching your videos. Your always uplifting.
Thank you so much!
My big win recently was finally getting my website done! Taking pictures and writing about myself are my area of expertise(I'd much rather be sewing) but I pushed through it! I want to thank you for the inspiration!
That is awesome! Such a big undertaking- congrats!!
@@amydement. Just reread my own comment and it should read that writing and picture taking are NOT my area of expertise..., hmmm, maybe i need to change that belief about myself...
I also love red and white polka dots! Which feature in my newest quilt, that also managed to be my first Instagram post!
@bloomingartsbyjude
♥️
I have that rotary cutter in the 45 size… it’s a great weight and is perfectly balanced.
I love it so far!!
I also joined the Break the Rules block of the month group.
Awesome!!!
Loved your challenge with Donna
Thank you. We had a grand time.
That rotary cutter is the bomb!!
Awesome! I can’t wait to get to know it better.
Amy you just brighten my day. Have a wonderful week sweetie.
Oh thank you! 😊
I just loved this video ❤❤. Thank you!
You are so welcome! Thank YOU! 😊
I got the grace quilt table I'm getting excited to use it
How exciting! I hope you love it!
I'm interested in the new rotary cutter and how it compares to the Martelli off-set cutter (that I still haven't mastered). It is less stress on the wrist but I have a hard time getting clean cuts.
I just delivered a tummy time "I spy" quilt to my nephew and his wife for their new baby (being induced tonight). I made it with the AccuQuilt Tree Skirt Die and added a layer of PUL to make it waterproof. They LOVED It and that made me happy.
Now, i need to work on my 3 projects that i started last week. 🤦🤷. I usually only work on 1 at a time so this is a big stretch for me.
One of my main interests is how the Martelli and the new cutter compare. Your I spy sounds adorable! I hope you have an amazing week working on new projects.
My currently WiPs are entirely (read: 15%) your fault. I have been wanting to do a patchwork skirt with my scraps for ages and ages, but couldn't figure out how to line it so I would have pockets, strength and no sensory issues. Then you posted that video on the diamond string block quilt and sewing strips directly onto muslin, and I remembered flatlining is a thing. A thing that should work on this very adjustable panel skirt made of all-identical pieces. We are not going to discuss how many -months- days I had been trying to work around that.
So now, logically, I am sewing the same skirt, un-patchworked, un-lined, to go on the same bodice pattern, just to check my latest idea on how to optimize pocket space and strength.
Your skirt sounds amazing! I’m glad you figured it out. Don’t you love solving a problem?!
Amy, enjoy the eclipse today, I'll be watching on TV as here in the PNW a. we only get 20%, b. I have no glasses and c. it's going to be overcast LOL. I also LOVE Quiltfolk and can't wait for the Georgia issue. It's the kind of quilt publication (you can't really call it a magazine) that I have wanted for so long, something you can actually READ! I picked up the issue about Louisiana (I used to live there) and have been hooked ever since. I have tracked down every issue and subscribe to it. I am interested to see what the "Break the rules" project is all about so I hope you will share your journey on your channel. I considered it but am trying (really) to finish stuff this year. I have a pile of projects that go way back. I just basted a tee shirt quilt that I made about 15 years ago!
Thanks. I love your commitment to your projects. I’ll definitely share my process.
Today I finished my first FPP project, Vortex BOM by Legit Kits. So happy!
Wonderful!
Love your Grover's that were found... maybe 1 or both could find a place on your beautiful wall... love your get info if you had the sign made somewhere :). Hello beautiful is sew cool! Kathi
Thank you! I’m trying to find a good place for them. The sign I found on Amazon but I would have had it made if I didn’t. amzn.to/3Ytp9rA. (Affiliate link).
@@amydement. thanks Amy!
Would love an update on the cutter once you’ve had more time with it! I’ve been considering it. But have such wrist and thumb issues the price makes me appreciate the risk it won’t work out for me.
Definitely!!
Have an awesome week.
Thank you. You too! 😀
You are amazing!!
You are!
My latest "victory" is getting everything together for the trunk show I will be giving for a quilt guild on Tuesday. (At least I hope I have everything) I will also be doing a demo. Excited, yes. But also a little nervous about it.
I forgot to mention that this is a first for me. So if you have experience, tell me what I can do to make it better.
That’s awesome! Dang I wish I could be there for that! You’ll be great.
I also signed up for Break the Rules and am still waiting for my book and stuff. And I live in Portland, very nearby Eugene OR where Quiltfolk is housed. Did you receive your BtR stuff yet? Just curious.
Awesome. I had the book and got the welcome packet but it took a long time. They are processing orders it’s just a slow process 😊
Go live! Like a wise woman just said never doubt!
Oh - using my own words against me - I see how it is ;-). LOVE THIS - thank you!!!
