I was one year out of high school. But at this point I discovered Black Oak Arkansas, Black Sabbath, Three Dog Night, etc. etc. There was still room for some Abba though... they were a good looking group and had a ton of songs. Bee Gees came along as well, and every once in awhile I had to listen to some non-Rock stuff. Thanks Nasa. Glad you enjoyed that.
Thanks for the ABBA. Agnetha (blond singer) grew up listening to american torch singers like Connie Francis and Skeeter Davis. As a child she would practice this type of song in front of the mirror in her room. She's always been drawn to very sad/broken hearted love songs and she excels at them. I'm pretty biased because I'm such a fan but to me no one does this stuff better than her. You should react to ABBAs "The Winner Takes It All". It's her saddest of the ABBA songs and deals with her and Bjorn's (guy playing guitar and songwriter) divorce. She'll break your heart.
HOW can this be the first time listening to ANY ABBA song??!!!! All their songs are so well known that , even Jesus while waiting to die on the crucifix, sang a few of their hits!
Thx! But too bad this version is less good than the studio version where the drums, the whole set is better mixed and the final rendering more powerful. In the official version you will find this studio version.
Yes, but let me say this: Live, Agnetha's solo parts are (to me) the weak point as her voice is only average..(to me..ok?) Still, it doesn't matter as, live, ABBA's harmonies carry them very well and their tunes and stage presence are so fun! Great group.
And that my friends was truly LIVE LIVE LIVE !! absolute professionals..

@Daniel Rademeyer Guess I didn't just come out and say it - But yeah, I love her too.
The live version is ok but the studio version is so much better sounding!
Just what I was realizing...sigh..
Still, either way, they're fun!
