Anyone who thinks "dough" can be milked from disability payments needs to try living on those payments for a month!
You can't in most areas. It's often barely enough to make rent for many. Im not on the system but anyone who lives in a wealthy nation should want social nets. People dont understand we are ALL one bad medical diagnosis from financial ruin in the US ( unless youre a multi multi millionare), and while they might bitch and complain about paying taxes for those social nets, those very same people would be the first lining up for that help should they need it. I work in the medical field, health is a great EQAULIZER. Also, it never fails "There's sooooo many lazy people who milk the system and take advantage." Statistically speaking it's low. And it isn't humane to take away very needed social nets bc of the actions of a few. It's a lazy argument imo

My fully disabled son gets less than $11,000 per year. If only he could find a wife who would take care of him 24/7 so she could milk him for his disability payments! 😂
The comments you two get about faking your relationship always make me laugh.
Quick back story. My son is autistic, aromantic, and asexual. He rarely notices when people are in a relationship and when he does he couldn't care less. When he walks in to see me watching your videos he talks about how cute you two are and how much you both obviously love each other. I really don't understand how others can miss it if my son sees it so easily. There are only like 4 couples that have reached this level with him and one of them is fictional (Morticia and Gomez Addams).
If you two are faking this whole beautiful love story you each deserve Oscars for your performance. :)

The heart of gold comment got me. I’ve been married for 26 years and my husband had a stroke and my mother in law praised me for staying with him. They really can’t hear how insulting they are.
I don't think they try be insultive. But they probably can't see themselves be with someone disabled. So that's why they say it. I would see it as a comliment, it just means they think you are an amazing person with a beautiful heart to stand by your husbands site despite all hardships. 😁
some people forget about the “in sickness” part of “i vow to love you in sickness and in health”. it really blows my mind that some people would truly leave someone they’re supposed to love when hard times fall.

My son Cerebral Palsy & thinks you are great. He was so happy to sees someone like him. I had to explain to him that your condition was different than his. But when he first saw Shane, he screamed with happiness seeing somebody like him and we’ve been watching you ever since. People come up to him and say oh poor thing and I say poor what he’s happy he’s doing what he wants to do. I think he’s better off than some of the people you see walking around. But of course, that could be mama bear talking to who knows.😅
The only thing that’s the same is similar looks. My son is mentally delayed, has a hard time speaking, does not walk, can not use his hands. My son just had a birthday ask him how old. He says 5, he just turned 36. He is loved, he loves his family & friends, & happy. In my book that’s what counts. To all the walkers, I guess you all miss sky driving? If you haven’t done it how can you miss it.

Because they give the haters the attention they are seeking and let them know they are bothered by their comments. Just ignore it and never bring up any of the comments or anything said by the haters. Then they would get bored and go away....
Because the problem doesn’t lie with Shane or Hannah, the problem lies within themselves (the haters). People who talk negatively about others are unhappy themselves, it has nothing to actually do with others. After all, if you’re happy, why would you feel the need to talk bad about others?

if this couple were fake, then they deserve the greatest praise for their acting skills, going to such elaborate lengths (getting married and trying for children), and managing to keep 'the act' going for years! I think they are more genuine than most couples lol
Many people wait their whole life to find a love like yours. Guarantee those haters have not found that kind of love and are sad and extremely jealous. Honestly they don’t deserve a minute of your time. Life is too short!
Thank you. I married my disabled partner in 1978. He was and remains the love of my life. He died in my arms 15yrs ago. People can be absolutely rude.
The video of Hannah and Shane was the first “short” I seen of them. It made me subscribe! No disabilities here! Been married 35 yrs. He does his part and I do mine…that’s a marriage! I’m here cause I love the way they treat each other and they crack me up!!! ❤

Funny how people think that people on disability are rich. Medical care and equipment is expensive, most of us are doing the best we can with what we got just like everyone else. Also I found it super enlightening to know as a person in a wheelchair that I will never be in a relationship, I’m sure my husband will get a good laugh at this. 🙄 You guys are amazing , I love seeing your relationship and life it’s inspiring. I have struggled a lot with mental health over the year’s depression associated with loss of mobility and medical set backs. Your attitudes and love for one another has helped my husband and I get through some of the tougher times and i appreciate what your both doing so much. ❤

The best part about your channel is how you keep it real, relatable, and genuine. I used to be a big fan of H3 before their channel got huge and they turned into a production with multiple cast members and sound effects and all that. For this reason, your channel reminds me of the “good old days” of UA-cam. Keep it up!

Growing up, similar to Shane, my Mom would not buy me lunchables as much as I begged. Now I see them as an adult when I do groceries and I think, ew those look vile, lol.
My wife is my caretaker 24/7 because I have seizures to the point I sometimes am wheelchair bound. She’s the happiest she’s ever been in her life! I always gave her the option to give up on me but honestly she loves me more than ever now🤗

I've never understood why people would be jealous. Why would you want someone else's struggles over your own struggles. We all have highs and lows, just live your own life. I'm entertained by them most times, sometimes I'm annoyed by the content and I just turn it off. Haha it's amazing how that works.

Adore you both and still so glad I got to meet you at the Guthrie a few years back! I'm married now to a wonderful disabled man, we both get weird treatment from people for being a disabled couple. Our neighbors thought we were roommates for like a year despite our constant PDA, like really?? We are both regularly baffled by your haters but the way you laugh at these fools is really empowering and weirdly therapeutic. Rooting for you both always! The world needs you now more than ever ❤

I live in the Dominican Republic and see anoles all the time, even in my apartment, but I never knew they were called that! So thanks for teaching me something new today! 😄 Now when I see one with a stubby tail I'll wonder if it ate it 😅

It makes me wonder what those people would do if their loved one ends up with a disability or they have a child with a disability. Hopefully they would realize life will still be good.
I think what folks tend to forget is that we all give up some thing of ourselves when we're in a healthy relationship. You will need to make space for the other person and their wants and needs too. I'm sure Hannah has give up, no doubt, but so has Shane. This is not anything new. Before we had our son we did everything out way only. Once he came into our lives we had to learn new ways to do some of those same things in order for him to be included...because that was what WE WANTED to do. Just as Shane is Hannah's choice, Hannah is Shanes choice, they will adjust in order for their relationship to work for both of them. Life is full of choices, every day we're faced with them, we all do what works for each one of us.

I totally enjoy your humor, and sarcasm is also humor (to me) when it's not mean & works for my husband & I since it comes naturally for us both too. I also love seeing other couples that laugh as much as we do. I'm very happy you name the haters, they weren't shy about that when posting their bile in the first place. A lady that runs a fb page in my hometown posts scenery of the area, promotes local business and she gets horrible hate mail. There are just very unhappy miserable people that have nothing better to do than put their hate to others. I can't imagine how bad their lives are. Somehow try to ignore them. You guys are so fun and interesting to follow.

There are no rules when it comes to love. Love is unconditional. The video I see is full of love, happiness and enjoyment between two married people. These people who are sending these disgusting messages are very ignorant and probably have to much time on their hands and need to get themselves to church. God and most of the the earth population see everyone as equals and we all should respect that. Remember LOVE IS LOVE. There are no barriers. Watching you together, listening to the laughing and seeing your interaction always makes me smile and wish other people (those who write the negative comments) were lucky enough to have the loving relationship you have. Got chuckles out of the little extras like the lizard scurrying across the screen. And then there's always closed captions for extra giggles, true for every video that employs it. Alternate name for brown anole? Brian Journal! Anole? A nose. The trip down Memory Lane and discussion of lunchables was a gem!

How brave of you both to take these questions on. I have a chronic illness and my family has put up with a lot. They have always found me worth it. They love and I love back. Anyone who can’t see the fulfillment in that has a lot to learn. Sometimes until it happens in your life empathy doesn’t come.

I have been married for almost 30 years. I am very close and open with my parents and my in-laws. I feel comfortable saying ALL couples are inter-abled. Every couple has people with strengths and weaknesses that compliment and assist each other. These trolls passing judgement on ANY couples are limited in world view and knowledge of relationships.
I am disabled & have been for 30 years now.... I was NOT born this way I was in a very nasty car wreck when I was a teenager... I am now almost 50... I am an "Airman" in the Air Force Auxiliary & a Computer Systems Engineer & Cyber Warfare Operations Supervisor.... I have a great life... I have seen a lot in my lifetime & have seen the Best in humanity and yes even the Worst of it as well... ANYONE that has to belittle or demean any person with a disability needs to remember one thing life is short & fragile.... You can endup disabled oneday yourself & see how the lives we live are no different than yours is..... We do almost everything able bodied folks do just slightly different ways.... Its a lifetime of Improvise, Adapt & Overcome..... So to the people who leave snide unkind remarks, Theres a special place waiting for you when the last breath leaves your body....
Great episode. I loved the dumpster dive and the what we loved in childhood parts. So sad that people feel the need to comment on your relationship in a negative way. You can tell they haven't spent any time watching your other videos.
that comment about ‘you have a heart of gold’ - i’ve gotten that because my daughter is disabled - and I hate it!! I try my best to be polite because usually people aren’t meaning it to offend - but it gets to me!

I loved listening to you list the the things as a child were great, but as an adult, not so great anymore...As an older adult watching young children, I realized how much they love to run and move, and realized how I never did that, nor was inclined to do so. Shane, though you were always in a wheelchair, you never seemed to have missed out on that part of childhood.. That amazes me and interests me. I was disabled by polio, and didn't walk until three and a half, and then with full braces and crutches. At least for me, that part of childhood I never experienced, as I think polio affected my overall energy. As I got older, I joined in the yard games, but only for about 20-30 minutes before I wore out, and that was enough for me. But I do remember my siblings staying so late, and not wanting to be called in. Love to reminisce. Thanks for the videos and this one in particular. Hannah, thanks for the dive on anoles. I too love to research stuff. Had never heard of these guys. I am originally from Texas, and I always loved the horned toads. Just a note: the 4 numbers after the name seem to have been put there by youtube...they are not part of anything that I assigned for myself, and that just started happening. Not sure what is generating it.
I lost my daughter to MS just under a year ago, her childhood boyfriend came back into her life about 7 years ago. He loved her unconditionally ( you remind me of him Hannah ). I wish they could of met you. She was wheel chair bound too, but she couldn't get around like you Shane. Any way I can relate to you both. Thank you for your channel.
i would like to tell you what i love about handicapped persons,,,it is that they are humble, real, talented, disciplined, quite beyond superhuman, that they are like a living fairytale, and that they prove life is Beautiful NO MATTER what anything else says!!!!
All I know is you are a lucky guy. I had 4 back surgeries and my wife took care of me every step of the way even when I couldn't wipe my own ass. God bless

And he deserves something fabulous and it's the fabulous relationship he has with his wife. You get out of the relationship what you put into it. They both give a tremendous amount to the relationship. And that's what they get. 🎯
Love you both… when you were talking about things you liked as a kid, that you wouldn’t or couldn’t do now got me really thinking. I am physically disabled as well and had a memory of skipping down the sidewalk feeling like I was leaping so high off the ground. Can’t even begin to try skipping now but that memory felt wonderful. My father was a disabled WW2 vet, my parents met and married after the war, they had 48 wonderful years together.

There is very few women like this in the world. This is a lucky man. She is the complete opposite of 99% of women today in the WORLD. I would say im an average looking guy, well built and covered in tattoos. I will probably never find someone like this. I have come to the realization that, thats just how it is. But im glad he gets to experience this.

I had a chocolate lab that would eat his own poop. I went to the vet and they gave me something to put on his food to make his poop taste bad 😂😂😂. I was like what do you mean taste bad, doesn’t It already taste bad????? 😂

I am disabled and bed ridden my husband has early Dementia and 37 years of MS. Yet he helps me, and I take care of the business in our home. ❤
There has been a huge change is society, maybe the last five years. But, ppl love to voice themselves and choose hate as their theme, one liners. Both women and men are equal abusers. I see it on all social media. Am honestly thinking of getting off all social media because it’s toxic and sickening. Where are all the kind ppl? I don’t respond to haters, they can just disagree but they want get under your skin. Live life and love it. The best revenge.

I just discovered this couple, and was so intriqued by them! I have a grandson 14 with Cerebral Palsy , and a quadrapalegic, and so wish this go be in his fufure one day!
