As the child of a disabled father I believe it enhanced my life and taught me to be kind. My father became disabled when I was 9 years old and passed when I was 57 years old. Would not trade one day of my life with my Dad for anything
Shane made me laugh so hard. So I have PCOS and when my husband and I started trying for kids it became clear we were struggling. So we started all the testing. My husband was mortified by the 1 test he had to undergo, sperm analysis. Neanwhile I was being poked, prodded, and having all sorts of people look at the most private part of my body. It really does make me chuckle. Luckily we ended up overcoming the infertility on our own. We welcomed our daughter, Irulan, last year and we just found out she is bring promoted to big sister next year. You will be amazing parents!!
Phlebotomist here❕ Make sure to always drink TONS of water two days before and drink 1-2 cups of broth (It has sodium so helps swell you up) and then have them put heat pack prior to drawing :)
I love love love this format with the two of you talking like you’re having a conversation with each other and you’ve invited us along for the ride!!! So chill!
Also, I’m an RN and the clinic I used to work at had a lake nearby. Every spring the babies would come and the parents felt the need to take them across busy streets. More than once I’ve run out to stop traffic so people don’t hit them. I’ve received more appreciation from staff and patients for saving geese than I ever received for saving human lives😂
at the top of your comment you didn't specify it was about geese, i was reading this thinking mother's are carrying their babies over the street in danger of getting run over 😭😭😭😭😭
After one of these geese attacks you, you'll leave them be. I worked by a pond 20 years ago and every worker RAN into the building and RAN to their car. One guy did get attacked and it made the news.
If you are an RN you should know that it's not logistical for Shane to send his Sperm in an envelope and send it to to a Lab. Sperm must immediately be stored in controlled temperatures.
Dude! I just noticed you guys have surpassed a million subscribers!!! I wish you nothing but the best on your ivf journey. You guys are HILARIOUS and I adore the love and friendship you share. 💗
These podcasts are just hilarious and entertaining! I love the freedom and can almost imagine you two having these discussions at home and we just happen to watch!
It's nice you're willing to share your journey--I"m going through IUI and had to tell my boss what I was doing b/c I've had to miss SO much work recently for appts and I didn't want them to think I was just missing for no reason. I still feel awkward about telling them something so personal.
As a Canadian, I would like to thank you for educating me on what we lovingly refer to as cobra chickens. Most of our universities have resident geese on campus honkin all year long ;). I have always taken comfort in seeing the geese return with their significant other to the same area and creating small families. They are the main reason there is standstill traffic aside from the ongoing construction. They always somehow use the crosswalk though...
I have enjoyed your UA-cam videos for sometime, my wife and I also being an inter-abled couple. Until today, I have not watched your Podcast for some reason. But I absolutely loved it and was laughing to tears at times. I will be watching all of them for sure. Keep up the good work just being real in front of us. We have been married 33 years and have two grown children. I am so glad you are pursuing parenting despite the odd views people have out there about disabled parenting. Our kids are better kids, they say, for being parented by inter-abled parents.
Just wanted to say that I am enjoying your podcasts immensely!!! Love how you two play off of each other so effortlessly. How anyone could question, or doubt your love for one another is absurd!
So excited for you guys! Ivf is hard! I hope Hannah’s mom will be able to help with the PIO injections for the transfer! I just went through IVF myself and am finally currently pregnant! Wishing you two the best!
I love the deep dive premise, and you guys are so fun to watch and listen to, your love and care for each other is so obvious and delightful. I love love love how you joke and laugh with each other 💜
I adore you two!!! So excited to follow you on this beautiful journey. My husband and I have been through this process and I understand what you're going through. We were was blessed with our amazing son and every bit of what we went through was worth it. God bless your journey!! ❤
Actually living in southern Orange County California, near a lake that has Canadian geese, I found Hannah’s dumpster dive quite informative!!! Thanks, Hannah😉
Loved this episode and I REALLY enjoyed seeing this side of Hannah! She has mentioned that she’s shy so I appreciate her opening up. And as always, Shane is hilarious lol
I get told the same thing. I have Spina Bifida which, like you, meant a lot of tests and surgeries growing up so I always beg them to do it. I'm literally like can you PLEASE just get it out of my foot simply because I can't feel it because that would make me feel a whole lot better about this appointment and it would GO a whole lot better if I could just get it done out of my foot and I ALWAYS get told no especially at specialty clinics like that. I wish a lot more people would be more understanding about it.
First thank you for giving me the 411 about geese I never knew I needed to know…was truly fascinating! Second…I’m sending you both all my positive vibes and prayers for IVF journey and a Happy and Healthy Holiday!!!xoxoxo
That last opinion is pissing me off. Caregivers with loving care are what keep the people with disabilities alive! Lots of love! Loving your podcast! ❤️❤️
I was DYING with the ketchup liquid bit omg!!!!!!!! Thank you guys, I needed that today to help me through a migraine. This just proves you guys can talk hilariously about literally any topic. Loved this so much!!!!!!
Omgahhh this is GOLD!!! I was laughing so much with the Dumpster Dive 😂💀. This is the adorable chemistry that first got me hooked to your channel…y’all used to banter so much in the early days videos; I’m so here for this podcast 🙌
That whole Shane mammal discussion has to be one of the funniest conversations you guys have ever had. Shane’s sense of humor and timing is phenomenal.
I study animal behavior and I loved the goose section! Thank you Hannah for your exceptional research and passion. Totally wasn’t expecting the great science communication! 😊
Yeah, if Shane thinks bringing a "goose-ologist" on will kill the podcast, he doesn't know his audience 😂😂 I want more animal appreciation! More animal facts!! 🦆🦔🦐
36:44 I LOVE Junkyard Mayhem and look forward to it weekly! It allows us to get a more personal seat into your amazing marriage and friendship! Thank you!!
I absolutely love you two! You have totally made me change my mind regarding your relationship. I’ll admit I was one of those people who didn’t really understand your relationship. However once I started watching you I totally understand your love for each other. Thank you for changing the way I think based on just looking at pictures and not the actual story. You love someone for who they are as a person. I hope i said it right. You two are great
You took one for the team Shane. Just think about what Hannah will be going through when she’s going through her process of ivf and then giving birth to a healthy beautiful baby. Your both going to be amazing parents.
I don't think the process for getting Shane's sperm is going to exactly be a walk in the park for him though - at least he gets a local anesthetic before the extraction happens 😂.
Shane's a very special person..( nothing to do with his medical or disability) . I hope he never loses his voice . I hope his voice muscles never causes more problems / issues for him . . However , not a doubt he would find a way to voice all his opinions...how awesome....
Hannah, it would be cool to start a nature journal to record all your findings and paint the geese or stuff in nature that is beautiful or interests you! You are a naturalist :) And Shane, you're hilarious, and at the same time you are very wise and can have the best advice (both of you do). love you guys!
The Junkyard Mayhem alert popped up on my iPad screen, and I noticed it was long one. I didn’t have the time to spend on it, so I decided just to start listening and stop soon. No way! I got wrapped up in it. Shane’s suffering during his IVF tests was awful but he made it hysterical. His ignorance about birds…. Hey. They’re left-over dinosaurs, Shane, not mammals. And I found the data on Canada geese rather interesting. I lived in southern Illinois on the Mississippi flyway where Canada geese migrated in great numbers each year, and they were beautiful to watch. So, I was hooked for the whole podcast! Thank you for just being you and bringing these irrelevant and also Important bits to us.
As someone who has both fed Canada geese by hand because I love them and been attacked by Canada geese because they dont always reciprocate the love, I appreciate this dumpster dive! Hannah if you didn't come across Bill Lishman in your geese googling, you'll have to check him out. They called him father goose and he was able to teach geese to migrate by flying with them leading their flock. Keep up the hilarious content 👌
I LOVE Junkyard Mayhem!!!!! Hanna's Dumpster Dive was thoroughly interesting and funny at the same time thanks to Shane lol. Thank you for the chance to see and learn more of you both!!!
Hannahs dumpster dive was one of my favorite things I’ve listened to on any podcast ever lol. I love googling about random things I think about during the day and learning all of those facts about geese was great. Shane’s commentary on whether geese are birds had me cracking up 😂😂😂
I absolutely love that I’m able to get more of you both. I enjoy anything and everything from the both of you. I can’t understand how anyone thinks your relationship isn’t real
I loved this. You guys make me smile. We too have the geese that Shane so loathes. I’m with Hannah on that one. We have a pond out back that they visit every Spring. I name them all! And to scare you more, I can tell them apart. 🤣 They stop back in the Fall (to say Goodbye) and then move on to their winter destination. Loving Junkyard Mayhem. Keep the videos coming. ❤❤ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just can't get enough of this wonderful couple. They are funny together, and when Shane makes a silly comment, Hannah can't help but laugh and give him the look, then say OH SHANE, or NOPE. lol
He'd pass out a some of my doc appts.. have to go in hands, sometimes neck, and last time it was 16 viles with the head phlobotomist .. all the support to ya, Shane! (Just NEVER EVER look and rememeber to breathe
10 Stars on your podcast!! I'm not sure which is my favorite, Monday grub bag or junkyard mayhem! LOL!! Nevermind, I've decided to love and support, whatever you and Hannah want to do and I will watch it all!! LOL!! Because I truly love and respect ya'lls relationship and I'm looking forward to the day, when you're able to make the announcement ya'lls beautiful baby/babies, are on their way!! I could go on forever, telling ya'll how much I love watching your videos, vlogs, shorts and podcast, but I'm sure you've got an idea. LOL!! But in all seriousness and the reason why I love and care so much about the two of you, is because I'm a mother of a special needs 34 year old adult child and seeing ya'lls love and happiness together, gives me hope that one day my son will find his true soulmate, like ya'll have done. So Thank You! Thank you, for letting the rest of the world know there's a lot more to a person, than what they can see with their eyes and start opening up and using their hearts. It means the world to me and a whole lot of other people too!! Take care and lots of Love to you both, your wonderful family members and to your future babies too!!
I enjoy listening to your podcast. You guys make me laugh I want to thank you. Been disabled. It’s great when you can see someone who is showing everybody advantages of being disabled. I read your book. I really enjoyed it. Can’t wait for the next one thank you for allowing me to be in your lives.
THIS WAS THE BEST ONE YET😂 omg so freaking funny and entertaining. Between your podcast your weekly videos and your ever changing content that is always is FRESH AND CREATIVE you to will reach another million or to in no time.
I live on the East coast of Canada and right next to where a lot of the geese hang out for the summer. Every spring we know when they have arrived because they wake us up at about 4:30 in the morning. They also stop traffic as they , in groups of 20-40 , walk across the road and at times just gather for a moment in the middle before continuing on. It is hilarious, unless you are in a hurry. We love them
I live in Oxnard California across the street from a school. August and September your geese have migrated in the school field. They leave early morning and return late afternoon most probably to avoid the kids and soccer players. Thanks for the interest dumpster dive session. Love you 🌴🥰
I am retired with an alcoholic roommate, after a tough day with him I love watching you both. you make me smile and laugh and then I relax, thank you for that
You both are hilarious and I love Junkyard Mayhem. I gave it a thumbs up but how do I give it stars. The bit about geese was absolutely hysterical and I loved when you were talking about mustard and Catsup water and mentioning the comparison to a part of IVF and poor Hannah actually blushed!! Hope you keep Mayhem up!!!
Watching this episode made my day!!! I love you Hannah but it seems Shane and I agree on geese. You two are an absolute delight and your conversations are a delight. The Dumpster Dive was AWESOME!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you both for be you both!!!!!
I'm losing it at the "I assumed alot more knowledge" part. This is like a conversation with my wife. I'm on Team Curious with Hannah, and am always looking up and reading stuff. Figuring out "what's the deal with these geese" is exactly something I'd do. Keep being curious, Hannah.
this is literally me. everyone says i know way too much about the most random things to the point where they’ll just ask me instead of googling it and i’m just like dude there’s a whole internet of information how could you not
@@ellespoonies Yeah. I didn't just naturally KNOW this stuff! But to be fair, I have a great memory for it. Not for short term stuff. I'll forget that the moment I walk into another room. But long term trivia type stuff just sticks.
We never expected to get goosed on a podcast! I am the same kind of curious when I need to find more info. I'm pretty ancient so early on I was always hauling tons of books from the library. It was great when the internet came along but it also sucked because I knew it was always at my fingertips so didn't commit it to memory the same. Pros and cons to everything I guess.
Me too. I’m disabled, in my 30’s, live with my mum/ carer and have a science degree. My poor mother has learnt so much she never needed or wanted to know, lol. 😂
I’m from Hawai’i. Backing into parking spaces is the norm. The habit may have started because of the theory that it will allow one to escape more quickly in the event of a volcanic eruption. I have learned to love this practice because it is easier to exit a space in a busy parking lot.
I'm listening to you guys on Spotify. I just want to say the way you are responding to the negative comments is amazing! You definitely don't deserve that at all. I am the mother to a 9 year old with Autism and I wouldn't change him for the world. I had my tubes removed a few years ago and now we are starting IVF to have 1 (or 2) more. I have enjoyed your podcast very much. Good luck on your ivf and life journey! Much love!
Hannah, movie recommendation that's about Canada Geese. It's called Fly Away Home. Beautiful movie lightly inspired by a real story. Rather old now, came out in 1996 but it's well worth a watch if one likes animals and nature.
Did you really say that shane? The collection went swimmingly? OMG 😂 And let me tell you, it doesn't matter if you're talking about geese or reading the phone book, we will always be enamored with your videos.
I so understand the blood taking trauma. It can be a nightmare. My doctor said you have a good vein in my foot. I’m up for any vein that means one jab instead of multiple. 🤕
This video-podcast is my absolute FAVORITE! It’s hard for me to say that about any podcast, by the way! I just love your dynamic, Hannah and Shane! ❤ SO invested! Keep them coming !!
Instead of “collection room,” my husband called it “the room of shame” (not that he was ashamed, but more as a joke in a comedy bit). It made everyone laugh who he would tell the story to.
Interesting. Sometimes hilarious. Sweet. Cozy. Informative. The time flew by. And I love the 'set'. The drapes, the light, etc. Thanks Hannah and Shane. Best wishes from an 80 year young gal fan in San Diego County, who sends you love and blessings.
I just love you two together and I can see why you two fell in love with each other. Your good humor matches each other. It is very important part of a relationship.
That unpopular opinion at the end grinds my gears!! I am disabled, and I am a parent to two kids (one has health issues, one is awaiting an autism assessment, I am autistic too, as well as having various physical and other issues). Giving my kids care, and giving my husband care (regular emotional support and such) gives me life. Don’t you dare judge Hannah or Shane or try and say how their life is. Because you have no idea! We can only know what they tell and show us, and clearly from hours and hours of filming they are doing great and being awesome humans and enjoying each other. Ableism is too easy. Open your mind, hear/see/read/watch what Squirmy&Grubs are living through before commenting ableist misunderstandings.
This is my favorite of all your videos I've watched so far. I have zero interest in Canadian geese, but Hannah's excitement about the topic was adorable and made it really fun to listen to.
I love these topics and conversations. I am also in an interabled relationship where my partner (sometimes) acts as my caregiver. I appreciate your openness and vulnerability
This episode made me laugh so much!! Loved the geese info. True story...I live on a lake. I had watched 3 families have goslings. One family of geese were in the yard next door. I heard honking by one goose. It sounded frantic. I finally went over & saw (sadly) one of the young ones had been attacked by a predator. The mom was frantic. When I got close she went into the water to the rest. She kept honking & I then saw the other two families come across the lake to her and surround her while she honked. The rest were silent. They eventually started swimming her away. She stayed in the middle of them all. The honking slowed down until it was one honk periodically until they swam out of sight. It was so sad. I felt I watched a mom mourn the death of her child & then the funeral of it. Never saw anything like it before.
Hi from England! I just love you guys! Most of the time I sit listening to/watching your videos with a smile on my face that just doesn't go away. I only say "most of the time" because obviously you cover some serious stuff too, but it's always informative and never lecturing. Thank you for making me smile, and good luck with the IVF journey xxx 🙂
Thank yoy for covering this topic! (Long time follower, haven't commented much til now) I do animal rights work,a lifetime. it starting with Canada Geese 22+ years ago. So appreciate this dumpster dive (mega bonus on the title!✨️) supposed to be sleeping, saw this and can't NOT watch RIGHT now. All love light and respect to you both!🪶🪶
@@morgank7560 literally any and all. I would for sure be wise of picking a specific area to start. Also: I only back in if it’s necessary to keep the access aisle on the ramp-side of the van. Keeping the rear hatch or trunk facing the aisle makes it easier to load groceries, home supplies, etc.
As a Canadian, I have never laughed so hard about the geese! 🤣🤣 here in Canada when you google Canadian Goose, you get lovely pictures and interesting facts. No exterminators! Lol
The first half of deep dive had me laughing so hard. Shane is a natural comedian and Hannah played off him perfectly. We all know Shane knows what is mammal and what is bird. But his playfulness around the subject was so entertaining. Loved it!
Hey, I live in Canada and we warmly wish the Geese a warm departure wave as the fly south in their V formation mid sky… and look forward to walking freely in our parks and on our beaches without having to tip toe through the fresh droppings for awhile.. or at least until spring thaw! Oh we have our flocks of residents here as well- they seem a bit more reserved and pretend we don’t see them.
As always, I very much enjoy hanging out with my friends! I LOVE vinegar and salt chips (notice I put vinegar first, because I like them with a strong vinegar taste, not weak, barely there flavor).
OMG...I love you guys! I swear I feel like I am watching a video of my husband and I. He is very intelligent, and a jokester like Shane, but I am the curious one who will look up anything that peaks my interest (mainly animals) that I don't feel I know enough about. Then my husband get a lot of info thrown at him that he could care less about. Keep doing what you are doing. You make me smile~
As the child of a disabled father I believe it enhanced my life and taught me to be kind. My father became disabled when I was 9 years old and passed when I was 57 years old. Would not trade one day of my life with my Dad for anything

Hannah you are so quirky and strange in the BEST way. Your sheer excitement about goose facts is freaking amazing!
Lmao, I completely agree with this. I was like "where is this going......." hahaha. She's too excited about it, it's adorable haha.
You two are absolutely perfect together! You bounce things off each so easily. I am thrilled with your podcast!
"4 am murder honking" had me in stitches. In Spring, I get woken up by sweet little chirping birds and even that is annoying.
These podcasts are just hilarious and entertaining! I love the freedom and can almost imagine you two having these discussions at home and we just happen to watch!

This podcast was hilarious. I was struggling with keeping myself from cackling out loud since I'm in a location that requires silence.

Isn’t that a movie as well

Being a sedentary goose has always been my motto. I am Canadian.
I love that after all these years together, you're still laughing with each other so much. Your videos make me smile.
They are funny together, and when Shane makes a silly comment, Hannah can't help but laugh and give him the look, then say OH SHANE, or NOPE. lol
I love how Hannah corrects him! 😂 so hilarious! “Vials of blood!” “Which was literally one” 😂
I was just thinking that❣️
He'd pass out a some of my doc appts.. have to go in hands, sometimes neck, and last time it was 16 viles with the head phlobotomist .. all the support to ya, Shane! (Just NEVER EVER look and rememeber to breathe
Q
It's sore in the feet as they battle to find veins anywhere else.
***** Love the fast paced banter. They are very much in love and it shows.
This is a great episode! 😃 The geese dumpster dive was funny. I wish both of you the best with your IVF journey.
This episode was more then I could have asked for. You 2 are so funny!!!
We love them
So intrigued. You two totally drew me in and kept me interested and entertained
.... about geese. ..
That was a great dumpster dive.
I live in Oxnard California across the street from a school. August and September your geese have migrated in the school field. They leave early morning and return late afternoon most probably to avoid the kids and soccer players. Thanks for the interest dumpster dive session. Love you 🌴🥰
Preketchup 🤣🤣🤣 Love you guys. A podcast was such a good move. Feel like I'm getting to know you both so much more. 🙌🏻
I am retired with an alcoholic roommate, after a tough day with him I love watching you both. you make me smile and laugh and then I relax, thank you for that
Imagine Shane’s face when Hannah doesn’t lay an egg in the delivery room, looks to the doctor and yells,
“Do they do live birth?!?”
LOL!
Or says "Wait, is she a mammal or a bird??"🤣 he is hilarious. Love this couple ❤️
😂
😂😂😂
@@jennifernavas311 or a reptile?!
"I don't want anyone to see my wrapped up claw." LOL Shane has such a way with words. Love it!
THANKYOU for cheering me up EVERY time that I watch you!! XX
My favorite couple on UA-cam!!
Same!
Same....I love being curious
I’m from Hawai’i. Backing into parking spaces is the norm. The habit may have started because of the theory that it will allow one to escape more quickly in the event of a volcanic eruption. I have learned to love this practice because it is easier to exit a space in a busy parking lot.
I am much more skilled at backing in than I am at driving in nose-first. No reason for this preference- I've just always done it this way.
Congrats over 1MIL how awesome Squirmy and Grubs and Junkyard Mayhem!! I do miss Chloe
Much love!
What happened to Chloe? Why are we missing her?
Yes where is Chloe??🥺🥺🥺

Ok....
Hannah, movie recommendation that's about Canada Geese. It's called Fly Away Home. Beautiful movie lightly inspired by a real story. Rather old now, came out in 1996 but it's well worth a watch if one likes animals and nature.
Very fun podcast! I loved learning about the Canadian geese! And I love the banter between the two of you. 😎❤️
As a disabled adult I only enhanced my parents lives you guys are going to be great parents. You guys are so good together !!😀
Did you really say that shane? The collection went swimmingly? OMG 😂
And let me tell you, it doesn't matter if you're talking about geese or reading the phone book, we will always be enamored with your videos.
I so understand the blood taking trauma. It can be a nightmare. My doctor said you have a good vein in my foot. I’m up for any vein that means one jab instead of multiple. 🤕
Shane looks really good with that style of hat. 🙂
Looks like a gangbanger
Agreed, Shane rocks a beanie well
Ikr! And it fits so well with the colour coordinated pants and shoes. Idk about the shirt though. Nevertheless, he looks so good in this!
yes he has good style lately, i also love when he wears that beanie with his glasses 👓
I do love your banter and the way you guys relate. I subscribed. Boring comment I know but I always enjoy your videos. Great job in my book. ❤️
I just love you two together and I can see why you two fell in love with each other. Your good humor matches each other. It is very important part of a relationship.
You two are fun to listen to early this morning. Thank you!!!!
I would love you see your goose pictures Hannah! :)
As a Canadian, this was a great episode! 🇨🇦
This is my favorite of all your videos I've watched so far. I have zero interest in Canadian geese, but Hannah's excitement about the topic was adorable and made it really fun to listen to.
Okay but why did I love learning about geese so much from Hannah???
All love light and respect to you both!🪶🪶
What type of animal rights work? I’m looking to go into the same field :)
@@morgank7560 literally any and all. I would for sure be wise of picking a specific area to start. If it's a particular species, or issue dear to your heart, close to home, etc. That's where to start. (Think global, act local) 💞🌏 not sure how to connect with you, but have a lifetime of EVERY piece of rescue, political campaigns, demos, outreach and any wild, random animal situation you can image. Cheers to you for wanting to make a difference! I am on twitter (same name+R/ same pic, would be happy to help if ya have any questions!) 🐾👣🌏💞
Lol
I don't think I've ever heard them called 'Canadian' Geese, though. Only ever 'Canada Geese'.
You know those couple I's full of crap..
Love hearing about your IVF journey! You are going to be amazing parents
I genuinely laughed out loud throughout this entire episode. Thank you for that, I needed it today!
I like the setting and sound quality! Great job guys! 🎉
I looove Shane's eyes when he laughs. And Hanna is the loveliest girl ever.
Alway wonderful listening to the conversations between the both of you😊
Poor Hannah. Everything women go through with IVF. And then Shane…he had to give foot blood. 😅❤
As always, I very much enjoy hanging out with my friends! I LOVE vinegar and salt chips (notice I put vinegar first, because I like them with a strong vinegar taste, not weak, barely there flavor).
Hannah says Canadian geese 😂😂😂
And Shane just says “Oh Jesus “
Literally dying!!
😂😂I lost it at that point!! 😂
@@kristinaarp9144 Same LOL
OMG...I love you guys! I swear I feel like I am watching a video of my husband and I. He is very intelligent, and a jokester like Shane, but I am the curious one who will look up anything that peaks my interest (mainly animals) that I don't feel I know enough about. Then my husband get a lot of info thrown at him that he could care less about. Keep doing what you are doing. You make me smile~
