    This actually worked on my rim leak on alloy runflat without removing the tyre. I used to pump it up every day.Thanks 🤗😁👍👍👍👍👍

    Worked greater as a cleaner, restorer of rubber, and most importantly in my case, as a sealer of air. I hadn't thought of this so it saved me buying a $27 can of rim-bead sealer for just a couple of dolly tires. Thank you!

    Worked like a charm for my dolly wheels. Had to wipe one down with a cloth and reseat it by pressing it down on the hub but the other sealed right up after application of wd-40.

    Another great use for the wonder stuff WD40! I'm going to try it now. But spread the word - never use it as a fine lubricating oil. Although it looks like it, it isn't. It is a wax dissolved in a solvent. I found out to my cost when trying to lubricate my model train locomotive!

    Thanks so much for this. My motorcycle rear tyre was losing about 4 or 5 psi in a 24 hour period. There was no puncture and the valve was ok so it had to be around the rim. I tried the WD40 and so far so good! Good man for putting this vid up and I really like the environment where you live btw. Dave. England.

      @@brocky78 hi there I have to take this back as it only worked for a short time. I didn't take the wheel off I just rotated it while I gently sprayed at top centre. I guess WD40 is just a water repellent so we can't expect too much. I eventually changed the tyre.

    I fixed a leaking wheelbarrow tire that wouldent stay on the rim by submerging the tire under water and fill it full of water then blow it up. Plus in the winter it froze solid and it became a run flat tire.

      I’m not sure you want to risk this method on something that will be carrying you around at 40 miles per hour. Spend the $$ and get it done at a tire shop.

    This is not the best fix for long term: wd40 causes rubber to degrade and expand outwards, it will fix for short term and damage your rubber. If you have $20 bucks, get some real tire sealant and apply it as same

  • @patrickcarlin3015
    @patrickcarlin3015 Рік тому +1

    DO NOT DO THIS. SOLVENTS ROT RUBBER. You may achieve the goal you want using WD40 but you have introduced a solvent that will persist in rotting the tyre. THIS IS VERY BAD ADVICE. TYRE FAILURE KILLS PEOPLE.

      If you’re looking to use your WD-40 spray with rubber material, you’ll be glad to know this is possible - so long as you have the correct WD-40 spray.
      When you browse the different WD-40 options available on their website, you’ll notice that many of the variants state that they are intended to protect metal surfaces from rust and corrosion.
      But if you’re looking to use WD-40 on a non-metal surface, that’s entirely possible with the right variant.
      The WD-40 Specialist Silicone Lubricant Spray is the perfect choice for those looking to use this dynamic water-displacing spray on non-metal surfaces.
      Not only is WD-40 Specialist Silicone Lubricant safe to use on rubber, but you can even use it on plastic and vinyl.
