It;s a bug. Pretty certain it's not supposed to sound like that. I think Survivor has a pretty good soundtrack, if you want awful, try the Director's Cut Dualshock ost. The Mansion Basement is a classic.

The Nerd being edited into the Resident Evil opening cinematic and character introduction sequence is pure gold. I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw the Nerd's door animated in the RE style because I didn't expect it to be so dead on. You might hate RE: Survivor, but your love for the series shows in the numerous ways you pay homage to it throughout your review.
That ending scene had me crying of laughter after he called Chris and Jill fucks!

yah its been awhile since i enjoyed AVGN video, this one was actually funny and had cool effects, props to James giving the episode the old PSone era RE games vibe.
I was hoping for a dig on the magic item boxes. Other than that, probably the best episode in a long time.

The lengths to capture all the subtleties of old school gaming is out of charts... the pixelated look, lo fi audio and even the freeze frames where the game seems to be loading something before swapping the screen.
One of the best episodes for me, laughed through and through.

This has to be my 30th viewing of this one, resident evil 1, 2 and 3 were such a big part of my childhood. I even played Resident evil survivor when it came out, this is one of my favourite episodes.

HA!! Thank you so much for posting this. I actually worked for the U.S. Capcom offices when this game was released. I can safely tell you that gamers at the time HATED this game. Like seriously hated it. I used to have to have answer customer service e-mails and it was pretty much universal - if the e-mail was about Code Veronica, people loved it. If it was about Survivor people were pissed. More people had the Playstation than the Sega system so you can imagine the ratio of happy vs. angry people I had to deal with. Oh man, this brings back memories.

Plot Twist: The main character is actually Hunk with his mask off, that’s how he kills tyrants so easily, and why he always keeps his mask on.

I've been watching AVGN since 2007 and I'll be honest....I love the newer episodes, but It's been a while since I genuinely laughed out loud during one of them. 12:40 - 13:03 took me right back to the earlier years and I laughed my ass off. Definitely a feeling of classic nerd hilarity.
I agree, I also enjoy newer videos but I think he is missing the "angry", "frustrated", " what where they thinking", "this game is fucking trolling me" part of the character that made it feel authentic and relatable to gamers who lived that same experience.
That part, focusing on that shitty game mechanic and how stupid and troll it is, hits some of that classic avgn probably

Duriel Lord of Pain RE3 remake would be terrifying with a modern day Nemesis in 4K
Capcom is in a good place these days. They are clearly listening to fan feedback and in the case of DMC they are in near daily communication with the fans as we wait for 5.
Considering that Onimusha is getting a remaster, it's pretty clear that Capcom is looking for what people want. So if Remake 2 is the hit it should be, then Nemesis is almost certainly in the cards. People just need to scream it at them enough.
