Smallmouth Bass Fishing the Potomac River! (Wading)

This week I went fishing the Potomac River for smallmouth bass. I went wading in the river and was able to find a couple of beautiful smallmouth bass. I used a Yum craw on a Texas rig to tempt a smallmouth to feed on the riverbed among the rocks. Subscribe for more fishing content.

Wading is the best way to get to the fish. But wading with expensive camera equipment, that's brave!

Wow catching a koi out of the Potomac would be awesome! What rod holder and alarm do you use for carp fishing?

It would be awesome! I use Dinsmores bank sticks to hold my rods. And Saber S4 bite alarms.

That’s a great spot Jon. It really seems like the river is getting lower and lower with less and less flow. You might have to go back with the carp gear.

Maybe consider an inexpensive pair ( WalMart) hiking poles.
Take one with u. Tether to your belt.
It will really help.

Thank you! Yeah you could try the Monocacy River there is good smallmouth fishing there. Triadelphia reservoir is also good, but you need a Reservoir permit. Good luck!

I fish this same section pretty frequently, when the waters up you get some massive fish that cruise through those narrow areas, nice video
