I understand that Effort was going for a few Sci Vessel kills using that muta scourge combo @ 8:15 but once he saw what he was up against why did he suicide through with the whole force instead of running away?
Effort was playing with a very low drone count. Even when he expanded early he was already behind. Flash can finish him off in 15 minutes but he decided not to. You can clearly see in 18 minutes that flash is already max in supply with floating minerals and he was just throwing away vultures because he already controlled the map. Effort survive in 30 minutes using his skill and efficiency. Larva plays with low drone count as well but he has fast mutas like 5-6 minutes but he needs to snipe like 10-15 workers from his enemy just to equalize.
Mech switch got popular recently because traditional bio compositions tend to be really tricky to control (easy to just lose your entire army in one fell swoop) and mass Marines fall into trouble when Plague, Dark Swarm and 5 armor Ultralisks are in play. Mech armies are much less mobile and thus easier to fight around with drops, run-bys and multi-pronged attacks (look up HerO's only win against Flash in the finals of ASL4), but they still form a glacier that may grow impossible to fight head on, once it gets rolling. 5 armor Ultralisks are much less effective against huge clumps of Tanks and Spider Mines, and Dark Swarm doesn't do much for anyone except burrowed Lurkers because of the omnipresent splash damage; Zerg's army composition has to adapt. So yeah, it's a different playstyle, it's solid, it works.
Terran is too strong. Terran makes zerg look so underpowered. Then again zerg vs protoss is super unfair for the protoss. I have respect for anyone who beats terrans at a high level.
terran is so powerful at defense and zerg is always look underpowered because their strenght is by the number, and their army can regenerate faster than two other. Some people say. As long as you dont have more base as a zerg, you end up defeated.
SC:BW is eternal. It always returns.
