thanks for the upload tho. Very interesting actually to watch 2 Pro player playing such a fking difficult game. The mechanics required are insane compared to sc2
Why is the zerg strat to fight the mech army and be behind on supply the entire game? Shouldn't it be to exploit their immobility with multiple pronged attacks to get ahead in macro? JD came back from a 40 supply deficit in mid game only to spend it on throwing lings and defilers into sieged tanks. Thanks for the vid.
My understanding is that you sort of have to keep the mech army low to prevent them from straight up charging down your base and ending. You really rely on Zerg's ability to instantly rebuild compared to other races, and especially against a mech Terran, who is limited by slow build times and low mobility to reinforce. Of course, that's all in theory; in practice, it might not work out so well...
Honestly, no clue if anyone will respond to this, but I feel like a good way to take care of that mech army woulda been mass ling / bruta / hydra, maybe with some drops going on in bottom right to pull flash back a little bit and make time for either a flank or a rush, take out some important tech in main, whatever. Zerglings to take some of those siege hits in the middle, either that or maybe some overlords, give time for brutas to rush in, and hydras to flank from the sides or back. I mean, hydras do happen to do explosive damage?? any thoughts? :P --edit ~~ And of course some hidden defilers to put some clouds down to cover all this, juuust as everyone gets clumped up, for another window
SbaerO once the Terran has half the map zerg really have to attack or the 200/200 mech will shred anything, I think its better to figure out a strategy to deny Terran expansions
If you don't trade with a terrans army, he isn't under as much pressure to expand. A maxed upgraded terran army can just park on the high ground in front of 3 or 4 bases and watch you starve yourself out while he raids your expansions with vultures
