There is definately something about the flow of units in the larger battles that makes this special compared to sc2. The micro is harder and that means you can see the effort involved, there is definately more of a human struggle in big fights
I have waited for this for so long. Watch and learn. SC2, love it, but its driving on auto with heavy AI assistance. BW, driving F1 full manual dogboxed, no traction control no ABS, whilst playing chess at the same time.
I agree man! BLIZZARD SHOULD REALIZE THIS! I am not good or not have long experience playing Starcraft 2 but I can see that its not a balance game. The protos could use blink lots of times, one troop could do blocking, one unit could use huge force field and teleport. Battling protos using zerg or terran is hard. Blizzard must release Starcraft 3 and make its release like Starcraft. Starcraft the game then broodwar expansion. They should release it this way. The game will contain all of the campaign terran, zerg and protos and much better if they will add another race then in the expansion new campaign and another 5th race and new troops and buildings and technology upgrade. They should also make it the data is contained in the game disc no more online installation! Players should easily play multiplayer using L.A.N not forcing players to play online because until this day and to the coming years not everyone could afford to have internet, sure they could buy PC but they can't afford to pay internet bills monthly. Blizzard got greedy this time in Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3!
ABSILUTELY!!! every parameter in SC1 is so balanced, SCII will never have that balance. I have never watched a SCII competetion that engage all kinds of units, this only happened in SC1
omg.. i missed broodwar SO MUCH. the action level is so fucking intense mid-late game i love it. nothing beats broodwar, the macro-micro level is so high level nothing is comparable in today's gaming... so happy i found you guys. GG great game, a lil sloppy in the beginning.. but looks like they're well warmed up for GAME 2!!

+Алекс it's because these two casters cast a lot of sc2 but not brood war. tastosis did cast in the brood war days but these castors' popularity really rose when they did a lot of sc2 casting
Because Broodwar gameplay mechanics are better than in SC2, also because the Skill Ceiling is much higher and it has a deeper strategy factor. it's not about how fancy the game looks, but how good it is. And i don't mean that SC2 is a bad game but is not on Broodwar level.
