    I also want to add that even though I do well with these particular foods, you may not do well with some of what I'm eating so it's important to test new foods in very small amounts if you're not sure. You may also find your body tolerates a wider range of foods so it's important to experiment and get as much variety into your diet as possible without stressing out your system. I've heard of some people with histamine intolerance who do just fine with bananas or spinach, whereas others would suffer greatly ingesting a small amount of these foods. ***If you are sensitive to spinach be very careful buying spring mix because it's often in there. ♥

      My pleasure! Happy to hear you're already familiar with Dr. Joe. 🤩 I found mine originally at my local farmers market from an Asian family of farmers. You may be able to find it at a local asian store but I have never seen them anywhere else. One day I found a small tree at my local nursery and it's been growing amazing in my yard ever since. I would suggest buying the seeds, or a seedling, online and growing it. I think it will even grow in a pot if you don't have a lot of space.

    It's nice to see that it's possible to cope with histamine intolerance on a raw vegan diet. Nevertheless I'm very surprised you need to be on a low histamine diet because I read basically everywhere that histamine intolerance is caused by an accumulation of toxins in your body and that it disappears when going on a raw vegan diet. How long have you been eating this way? is it possible that your body hasn't gotten rid of old residues yet? have you done any juice fast or other internal cleaning?

    This is exactly what I am looking for. Have been raw for over 2 years, but in the past few months have experienced a rash that just won't leave, my nose is always runny, and lately I feel like I'm coming down with something every week. I remember another raw foodist, Roar Skye, mentioning something about histamines, and I eat a lot of raw foods that contain histamine. Starting tomorrow I will revamp my diet to see if in the next few months cutting out bananas, spinach, avocados, carob, fermented foods, etc. I had already cut out citrus, pineapples, tomatoes, but perhaps that's not enough. I may need to go on a juice cleanse, then start the diet. How's everything working for you a year later?

    • @rawsynergy
      @rawsynergy  11 місяців тому +1

      I've learned a lot in the last year after trying many more things without much change. I'm yet again trying something new and hoping I'm finally on the right track of getting my body back in balance. Revamping the diet and cutting out histamine foods and triggers is an excellent idea if you want to feel your best. I just took a free online course on digestion that has opened my mind in a whole new way and makes so much sense as to why I may be having these issues. If it works for me, I'll be shouting its praises from the rooftops and telling everyone about it. It seems like it's the first time I'm actually noticing some positive changes, but it's definitely going to take some time to know for sure because it's still too soon to tell.

    I love that and I hope you do make more food videos. I eat a very limited diet and I am moving more towards raw, but I’m not there yet. There are some things I don’t see myself getting rid of anytime soon, but I am definitely open.
    For some reason Rosa Kuehne and yellow squash give me a terrible stomach ache and I have not been able to eat it without suffering. Perhaps if I spiralized it and maybe soak it in warm water it might break whatever it is within the squash and zucchini that disturb my stomach.
    Some of those fruits I don’t have access to, But I recently and I mean just recently started eating more fruit again. I stayed away from fruit for a long time because of the sugar content, but I realized that fruit is safe. Having said that though some fruits definitely mess with my blood sugar, and I honestly don’t go near them.
    I have been enjoying mangoes lately and they are so delicious.
    Have you ever tried growing your own micro greens? That’s something that I really want to do.

    • @rawsynergy
      @rawsynergy  2 роки тому +1

      I completely understand where you're coming from in not wanting to let go of certain things. It's great that you're open...that's so important!
      Very interesting about the squash affecting you. It might be best to avoid it for a while. It sounds like there may be something in it your body doesn't like or want.
      That's wonderful you started eating fruit again. I'm glad you realize they're safe for you.
      I do grow my own microgreens as well as sprouts! It's so nice to be able to grow your own. I've experimented with a bunch of different varieties and growing mediums. It's definitely worth it!

      @@CalmVibesVee I haven’t heard of brown lentil sprouts being a good source of DAO but I have heard of green pea sprouts, the pea micro greens, being a good source of DAO. I tried them but couldn’t get into the texture of them. They’re quite chewy but some people love them. There are DAO supplements made from the green pea sprouts as well but my body doesn’t do well with those DAO supplements. They make me super bloated for some reason.

    Thank you so much for this video. I am on a similar diet as you. I also take quercetin at meals as it is suppose to reduce histimine. Could you please tell me the tests you took to determine your diagnosis? Please know you made my day by your amazing recipes!

    • @rawsynergy
      @rawsynergy  2 роки тому +3

      Aw, you made my day, Rhonda!! Thank you for sharing! Have you found the quercetin helpful? Unfortunately for me, I had a bad reaction when I took it. Maybe I should try again now that I've done the juice cleanse. I originally discovered the histamine intolerance issue working with a dietitian and it was basically ruling out other things since there's not really a definitive test for these things. Once I started on a low histamine diet, all my symptoms pretty much disappeared and I felt an overwhelming difference. MCAS is the same as far as tests go, although I've heard of people getting bone marrow biopsies to determine, but that route is just not for me. After stumbling on a podcast of a doctor talking about her own symptoms of MCAS which were identical to mine, suddenly lifelong mysteries about myself were answered and from there I found www.mastcell360.com and took the simple free survey on the site where you compare symptoms and tally up your score and I scored very high for MCAS. Knowing what I know now, I'm able to protect myself from activating a reaction. You can view and take the survey here: mastcell360.com/do-you-have-more-than-just-histamine-intolerance-take-the-mast-cell-activation-syndrome-symptoms-survey/ I don't really follow any of the protocols prescribed other than changing my diet. I just used that as a guide to determine what was what and I try not to be immersed in it. I don't want to own it, live it and breathe it, if you know what I mean. These two videos also really helped me so I will share them with you as well. Quick question - do you supplement with iodine? Have you ever been low in it ? I’m getting mine tested bc I’ve had symptoms on & off over the years , they said deficiency can cause low thyroid . I know it’s rarely in my diet since it’s from animal foods except it’s in seaweeds of course.

    • @rawsynergy
      @rawsynergy  2 роки тому +2

      You're welcome! I'm really happy you liked it. Yes to iodine!! It's a must because it's not just the thyroid that utilizes iodine. According to Don Bennett's amazing iodine article, "After the thyroid, the other glands, organs, and systems with high iodine uptake are the breasts, ovaries, cervix, blood, lymph, bones, stomach mucosa, salivary glands, adrenals, prostate, colon, thymus gland, lungs, bladder, kidney, certain areas of the brain, and the skin." As a society, most of us are deficient. I have become extremely low a few times. I wasn't supplementing during my juice cleanse and definitely should have been. I get lethargy and depression big time without it. Definitely read this article, it's SOOOO helpful! health101.org/art_iodine.htm

    Hi! I just came across your channel! My doctor believes that Covid-19 triggered mcas in me. 🙁
    However I think it made it come out with a vengeance rather than causing it. I was hoping switching to raw food eating would heal me but here you are already eating raw and getting this too. So I'm a little sad. 🙁
    But you seem to be doing better than I am then since you're able to go for walks and so on. So maybe there's some hope for healing something lol
    Do you take the traditional pharmaceuticals for mcas? H1, h2, and a stabilizer? Just wondering if maybe I can get off these things lol

      I believe Everything can be healed so stay encouraged! I absolutely believe the reason I'm doing so well is because of my diet and lifestyle. I don't take any medications. I do take lots of herbals that help lower histamine though, like nettles, bilberry, ashwaganda and I also make teas based on the teachings of Dr. Robert Morse for healing the body. I also listen to Abraham Hicks daily here on YT and I follow Dr. Joe Dispenza and do his meditations daily which are super powerful. Firstly, I want to thank you for having your channel and sharing your knowledge, skills and recipes with us 💯🌻
    I love your recipe videos,
    Been binge watching your older videos too.
    subscribed.
    I was surprised to see this video because you eat so clean and lead a clean lifestyle, free from synthetics, chemicals etc and for a long time too.
    Now, after having watched many of your videos I see that you consume alot of orange and mango and for some blood types this is not beneficial.
    To be clear, I'm not one who falls for gimmicks, I found out about the book, Eat Right For You Blood Type, right after hearing about the Atkins diet and thus ignored it. But as fate would have it, within the span of 3 months I met a number of people who had various ailments cured by the book (which had already been published 7 years prior, unbeknownst to me).
    Yet even all this didn't make an impression, until,
    I saw the change first hand in an acquaintance, whom I hadn't seen for about 2 yrs, but by the end of these 3 months, I bumped into him and the transformation was astounding. He used to be covered in psoriasis, complete with bald psoriasis patches on his head, red patches all Over his face, hands, arms ,neck . If I had to guess I'd say he also had it on the parts his clothes covered.
    But now standing before me was a man with a full head of hair and perfect skin. He told me the book saved him and he was never going back to the way he used to eat. After seeing his transformation I went out the next day and bought the book and within 6 months I was cured of eczema which I had suffered with since Childhood. I'm transitioning to raw vegan but I will still avoid the fruits and vegetables that aren't beneficial for my blood type. I highly recommend you give the book, Eat Right For Your Blood Type
    a try, while continuing your low histamine meals until it's resolved. The book
    will make the process easier and quicker!
    Best of luck ❤️

      Thank you so much for your kind and very sweet comments! That is absolutely fascinating to me that people have such incredible success with the blood type diet. It's so interesting because when I look at the list of foods for my blood type, it tells me to stay away from foods I feel my absolute best on and to include certain foods that make me feel horrible, so I guess it's not for everyone. When we look at animals in nature, like cows for example, they have so many different blood types but intuitively, they all eat the exact same thing so it has always made me wonder how much blood type plays a role in diet after hearing about the book. I'm so happy you had such incredible success with it and love hearing how much better you are doing! Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I'm sure things will continue to improve dramatically for you. Sending all good thoughts and whole, healthy, happy vibes your way! 💕
