Yep. Mostly got it under control now but it took about one year.

Excellent videos!❤
Thanks, Dr. Anderson for this great explanation. I love, love the way you explain, the biochemistry!

Thank you so much for your videos. I found you back in the spring while desperate with a mast cell flare. Now that cromolyn sodium is in shortage and impossible to get in the US, this video is helping me to be sure I’m covering all my bases . I had forgotten about the roles of the B vitamins. Thank you!!!😁
I’ve been in a flare over a month from covid, any improvements?
Fantastic Video, thank you 🙏
Take vitamin B complex (which includes vit b1 b2 b3 b5 b6 b9 b12 etc). Got it!

Delighted to have found your channel, Doctor Anderson! Watching for myself and also for my 3 grown, busy children. The daughter has Hashimoto's and fortunately we found an excellent general-type of doctor here in Europe, who also understands supplements & vitamins & all these nuances... We are American expats & are always interested in learning more about safeguarding and improving our health. I will certainly also try your suggestion of the Seeking Health line. Thank you for your expertise, clear, precise and concise presentations!
Look into Lugol's iodine protocol for your daughter. Dr Elizabeth Bright is a great resource for women. Experts on iodine: David Brownstein, Guy Abraham, Jorge Flechas; all MDs.
Wow, this is great information. Looks like I probably have an issues with that 3rd step. I started carnivore diet and feel significantly better after 30 years veg diet, and that makes sense given all the B vitamins were probably depleted as I never supplemented (nobody ever told me to!). Thank you so much.

After months of chronic sinus and ear infections, I kind of stumbled upon Histamine Intolerance, thanks in part to desperation - from traditional medical practitioners basically not knowing what to do with me or my symptoms except to prescribe more medicine and hope for the best. I don't want more antibiotics or nasal steroids. I want to feel better. I want to do it in a natural way, not with prescription drugs (which only acted as a bandaid solution anyway). I have someone close to me who is a N.D. who has been extremely helpful at getting me healthy. And, I am very grateful for your video. I am on a low histamine diet and have been for a couple months now. My symptoms are better, but I still get the intense sinus headaches. I was wondering when the symptoms would actually end and feeling a little frustrated with the histamine diet (although I have lost weight). What the heck is triggering these headaches? Well...Now I'm off to find some B vitamins (first, the B-5) and I'll start with that. And, I'll be rewatching this video and your others on this subject. Thank you!! By the way, a commenter said they wished they could find a doctor like you - if you aren't seeing patients, there are other Naturopathic Doctors out there who are also amazing at what they do!
There is an adrenal connection! Look into adrenal cortex and potassium supplementation. Potassium chloride and/or potassium bicarbonate. Don’t forget TMG and magnesium.
Sorry, what's TMG?
@@irinailyasova5366 Trimethylglycine, it acts as a “methyl-donor” to support metabolization through b-vitamins metabolic pathways, which typically involve enzymes and cofactors magnesium, zinc and other key minerals.
If you have an MTHFR mutation it helps a lot to keep homocysteine levels from building up due to incomplete metabolic cycles which happen all day/every day at different speeds depending on your thyroid health/output, lifestyle & diet. Even fasting will require metabolic action through these pathways. It’s how your cells use your DNA transcriptions to provide your body with basic physiological sustenance but is mostly connected to building and growth. Endocrine glands and their hormones always talk to each other through “axis’” to stay in harmony.

I get it but if you stick with carnivore long enough you’ll eventually be able to treat yourself once in awhile. I paint and keep myself busy so I won’t snack and I drink mineral water or fizzy water as a treat plus it fills you up.
I know, it's not fair!
Thank you - great information. I have Rosacea,, mild flushing & red nose, cheeks off & on. I am daily logging food triggers & working on eliminating the ones that seem to cause a reaction. With long term chronic back pain, I use Celebrex & I know it hurts the gut biome, so I am doing all I can (PT) fewer additional Tylenol to help, plus a non-inflammatory diet & fasting intermittent. All are helping some. It is a long process to balance pain relief without making flushing worse. GERD & H pylori that I have are also a factor. But taking ACV drink daily helps with that but may be making the histamine high & flushing. So I am trying Betaine HCI with pepsin instead before meals. Since the high histamine & flushing may be triggered by menopause & hormones - HOW do I step by step figure this out? Suggestions?
ACV is very high histamine. Look into carnivore diet. Get off all oxalate containing foods. Following docs are great resources: Ken Berry, Elizabeth Bright (she is all about hormones), Zoe Harcombe, Georgia Ede, Ben Bikman ( highly recommend his book Why We Get Sick). Sally K Norton is the expert on oxalic acid (oxalates). I am 65, 5 yrs carnivore and have resolved pylori, sibo, gerd, colitis and more, plus was able to get off BHRT and the supplement rollercoaster. I take no pharma, don't even see docs anymore (I used to pay out of pocket for holistic/ functional med docs that did not help one bit). Also consider iodine protcol, as in Lugol's; Dr Bright is a great resource for this a well. Most modern day humans are deficient in iodine. She has a book on menopause plus short informative vids on her channel such as "Menopause, what it is and what it is not". My very best.
ACV is very high histamine. Look into carnivore diet, intermittent fasting. I am a 65 yr old female, doing the aforementioned over 5 yrs with great results. I wrote a much more detailed response but it was removed.
Thank you very much. Good idea.
Caffeine, left over meat, I’m going carnivore and it’s really helping.
I'm planning on doing the same, nothing else helps... Do you eat any eggs or dairy?
I had issues with carnivore and red meat because of histamine. Had to eat fresh lamb and supplement with kidney as it has DAO.
I started carnivore 4 monts ago for the same reason. I can only tolerate pork and a little bit of eggs. I did get some improvement, but not 100% yet. Recently I was prescribed famotidine, seems like it helping
@@The_Holly I eat eggs and bacon every morning. Then skip lunch and eat pork or ground beef or chicken for dinner. I was eating steaks but now thanks to our government, can’t afford it anymore

I've heard nettle tea helps with high histamine levels ?
I've learnt I have very high histamine levels and have history of cancer so have to be careful of food causing creating inflammation. I'm taking very good probiotics and just purchased nettle tea. I feel restricted with diet at times due to state of gut health, weight, previous cancer history and cancer markers so avoiding particular foods but also very low in weight so trying to find and stick to a balance.

It’s great this doctor knows what he is talking about but he imparts the information in a very complicated way and it’s not all that helpful for people to grasp. Also, he says work with someone! Yeah, if you are very rich! So for the sake of poor people can he not just tell us in simple terms what to do and what to take? Please? 😊
Diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome & CIUrticaria, from Iraq's burn pits. Can't seem to hit tryptase high on a blood test to confirm MCAS; any other markers to look for? VA docs are so hesitant to look for anything that could confirm, like taking a marrow test. They just say to do a fad diet, though humidity and dust seems to be the biggest triggers.
Histamine blood levels, maybe. You can test on your own. Resources: ownyourlabs, Ultalabs, JasonHealth, MyMedLabs. I have mostly used the first two primarily for comprehensive blood work, affordable even for a retiree.
Can you continuously take these Vitamin b supplements mentioned (B1, B3, B5, B6)? Or is there a problem for excess vitamin b?
It's okay
Water soluble = excess through kidneys
So mthfr gene issue and slow comt play a part in histamine problems? I should have known.😅
Genetics are the new eugenics so do not focus on that. Furthermore, any polymorphisms you may have does not mean that you will fall into a disease state; there are many variables chiefly nutritional. All "mutation" are nothing more than evolutionary compensations for survival. Follow a proper human diet that is animal based and you will thive.
Doctor, do you have any videos on how to lower homocysteine?

1. Methylated B complex
2. Top up activated B6 as P5P

6. Histamine degrading probiotics
7. Stay off fermented foods, corn, soy, glyphosated grains and glutamine sources.

Avoid glutamine? Can you explain why? It's supposed to be good for gut health.
@iriskoomi2857 glutamine is not tolerated well by mast cells and has been found to spur neurotoxicity. Besides if the mast cells are precancerous glutamine has been shown to fuel cancers I.e. precancerous and neoplastic cells feed agressively on glutamine.
@mariorodrigues3276 Strains that assist in the breakdown of histamine or are histamine neutral. Few examples are L.Rhamnosis GG, L.Gasseri, L.Salivarius, Bifido Infantis, Bifido Breve, Bifido Longum etc.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO! I have been struggling for a year with raging histamine issues that I suspect were triggered by the bivalent m-RNA COVID booster I got. Finally I am making progress with a low histamine diet (after 3 months!) + DAO supplement (Hard to source and really expensive on an ongoing basis! Can DAO be prescribed so that it is covered under health benefits???) Still, I need more support (part 3 of the strategy), but am still trying to figure this out. Is part 3 the mast cell stabilizers? I have not been diagnosed with MCAS because the results of my blood panel did not meet the tryptase levels/cutoff to meet the diagnostic criteria, but I suspect MCAS (or at least, histamine intolerance) is the issue.
Just a heads up. Meditation acts as a natural antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer. It also changes our epigenetic markers after 8 hours. Jasmine, who ran healinghistamine blog, wrote about hist extensively. Stinging Nettle Tea has also been very helpful for me. Immunoglobulins to reduce inflammation, help gut immunity and repair lining, bind to toxins, reduce sensitivities and more. Another one is colostrum and pasteurize it with a specific protocol to make it pathogen safe. I spoke with a man who healed himself and gained 30 pounds in 2 months (from 130 to 160). I'm going to be calling farmers all winter to land enough sources to fuel a bi-daily 300ml regime of it. He told me it saved him. There's much more that has helped me, but I wanted to stay concise. I wish you luck!
Pork kidneys are natural sources of DAO
Stinging nettle is antihistamine , but unfortunately I get reaction to it as well. Mast cell activation is more complicated than just histamine intolerance.,
@@user-mu2qy5oz7w Sorry to hear that 😟 Yeah, if I remember correctly -- about 200 compounds besides histamine. I hope you find some relief somewhere. Have you tried LDN?

Dr every time you talked I can related it too I developed allergies after having COVID and now and now I have a bunch of symptoms that could be connected or not. I am following a low histamine diet but DAO doesn’t work very well with it doesn’t matter if I take it I can get sick and or feel bloated now I bought an histamine blocker that has more ingredients than just DAO, my stomach is a mess, chronic insomnia anxiety, stress, fatigue and the worse dehydration and until today I haven’t anyone that can I l life in New York City and until today I haven’t anyone that helped I am not going to say the are over prize but I live with a fix income and I can’t afford anyone of them
I went high fat carnivore; and drink a ton of raw milk from super clean A2 cows. Has changed my life. Used to be a so called "balanced" organic whole foods diet gal (meaning lots of veggies!). Didn't eat junk except on rare occasion. Can't eat smoked or cured meats. I do not suggest anyone do this but I was a mess before; nothing I did helped and only made me worse. I do well with A2 raw milk (from cows that do NOT eat any grain). I swear it is a miracle for me. If you tolerate dairy maybe you could try it. I drink a lot of it; at least 4-6 cups a day.
How are you feeling now, any improvements?
It is related to COVID vaccines and COVID 19.
Yes I think I got COVID after being vaccinated because I had it 10 days later and no one around had it I know my immune system was low because I was also having issues the psychiatrist and my treatment in the middle of the pandemic he decided to start giving me less medication including the one for my anxiety he wanted me to switch and every time I got a new I had horrible side effects and he kept saying that I wasn’t even trying a medication I’ve taken for more than 20 years besides giving them always past the day I should get it and I kept looking for a new place but nothing was opened for new patients it took a while until I finally was in another place that treated me with respect and understanding. I am still very sick mostly because I can’t find the help I need but I am still searching not really about diet but about the how to reconnect your brain signal to your your body signal it seems they are disconnected there people who said after doing that they are completely fine no more symptoms. I still struggling with my physical symptoms because they are more and increasing the intensity. I am allergic to milk and a bunch of things and more every day and I feel nobody cares what happened to me if I live or die this drs from both spectrum are really very cold without empathy for pain etc I don’t know why they chose this career when they don’t care about what’s going on with a patient

If rather like to know how to reduce tryptase and cytokines
Things that lower cytokines: Pepcid - used as one of the main drugs for hospitalized COVID patients. Lowers Histamine and lowers Cytokines. Chaga Mushroom lowers cytokines, kills cancer on contact and destroys cysts. Sulphlorane lowers cytokines, Fisetin lowers cytokines. I take all in of these and after a few weeks on them can feel my body cooled down, less joint pain. Stomach hurts usually late in day and that's when I take my daily Pepcid 10 mg. I take Fisetin during the day and Sulphlorane at bedtime. Definite improvement in energy, less joint pain, less burning in my body.
I got rashes all over body due to histamine intolerence and recently had swelling on my face and around eyes and doctor gave me steroid tablets to calm my immune system and anti histamine .when i spoke to doctor abot DAO supplemts she said what is DAO .
This is such invaluable advice, thank you Dr. Anderson. It confirms that what I have been taking for supplements is helping and why. I have MCAS/EDS/POTS and vitamin/mineral deficiencies. A low histamine diet, and no dairy, meat, caffeine, or alcohol. Severely allergic to fragrances and the sun. I rid my home of all toxic chemicals, including anything I put on my body. Purchased an air cleaner and went on H1/H2 antihistamines and Quercetin. Started treatment 2 years ago. Today, I have been in full remission from Addison's disease for one year, which I had for 12 years. No secondary adrenal failure, which is a miracle. Also, in remission from hypothyroidism and type 2 diabetes. Only recently started taking B1 in addition to a B100 Complex. I will look into B5. Is there a dose recommended for the B5? Thank you again for being so helpful.
SAME!!!! And I had the same question about B5! Mitochor has 15 mg. Another MD sells her supplements with 50 mg. Seeking Health B Complex Plus has 125 mg.

I’m confused by this too. I’m low in vit c and can’t find any supplement or food that I can tolerate without disabling reactions.
@@hadassah6085 Try super clean grass/hay fed A2 RAW milk if you can find some (and if you tolerate it). It is not high in it, but I drink about 4-6 cups a day and I get enough. I think goat milk has it too; although it may be lower. I drink raw cow milk. If you reduce your carbs, this tends to lower your need for vitamin C. The more collagen foods you eat (think meat); and the less carbs you eat, this seems to lower how much vit c your body needs. (raw milk has more than enough carbs so you don't need to add any). If you tolerate a little lemon, you can always add some fresh juice to a little water. I don't do well with lemons so I avoid that. Plus lemon wrecks your teeth over time. I would probably look into a liver cleanse and gut cleanse .
Could a nicotine lozenge which supplies nicotine as a stop smoking aid assist the nicotinic nerve receptors in blocking other toxins?
4mg nicotine gum helped me improve a lot.
Dr. Anderson also mentioned diet. In the last few weeks, I have been drinking beef bone broth, eating fresh eggs, some herring or anything easy to digest and nutrient dense. Bromelain which includes the stalks helps. I feel Dr. Anderson suggests some very good resources too.

Start 100% carnivore

I have been fighting a “unseen” illness throughout my body for about 2 years. Started as diverticulitis, with severe gerd, severere stomache acid. Issues After going on a low sugar ketogenic Diet with lots of herbs and lots of supplements, including hcl for stomache acid, beef liver capsules, and magnesium in variou forms, stomache acid has returned to normal. Stomache
Digestion is very good, I chased this disease around all over my body, my arthritis in my back disappeared, my carpal tunnel in my hands is non existent, then came the scary part. I had this unseen disease in my heart and lungs. For the past 6 months it’s been Dieing off in on and around my chest cavity and I will say this for about a 2 month span my histamine levels were very high. I took many different supplements for histamines for adrenals and found really only a few things thst worked. Shot of liquid magnesium glycinate in the morning, beef liver capsules throughout the day, very very minuscule amounts of percaset, like .5 mg 2-3 times a day, with a degree of mobility especially after eating helps. Drinking about 1/2 gallon-1.5 gallons of clean water a day, and zinc in the afternoon 1-2 hours away from any sources of copper or iron. Also I don’t reccomend taking straight iron capsules it seems to feed most disease m, rather get your iron from beef and olives. I’m no dr but half the problem you are facing is due to vitamin deficiencies as well as taking the wrong combination of nutrients at the wrong time, because lots of vitamins compete for absorption which will leave you out of whack after time. Also if you have candida Sibo long Covid lupus what have you, and have a treatment that works Remmeber to treat it little by little, sometimes less is more. Also I have used intermittent fasting 1-3 days a week to help starve disease, boost the bodies immune response and boost other hormones. If your fighting severe disease you don’t want to fast more then 20 hours at a time imo your nutrient levels will deplete too much but inflammation seems to decrease with fasting for 12-20 hours a day 1-3 days a week hope something in what I said helps somebody who is suffering it will get better if you don’t give up.
Also iv infusion helped too I did it twice a week for about 3 months. Myers cocktail, seemed to really

Thank you for the support!
@@dra_online it took me 15 years to get my diagnosis- I don’t want others to suffer as long as I did. That’s why I advocate for patient & Dr mcas awareness.
@@dra_online I’m also a freelance writer - bulked include The Washington Post, Men’s Health, & HuffPost. Please let me know iif we can schedule an interview for UA-cam - as I begin pitching mcas related articles for media editors, I would be thrilled to have established a connection w/an expert source. Thank you!
Rhinitis is my issue
Same bro it's really annoying and make my life harder 😭
I had the worst allergy’s especially in Portland. If I drank a double espresso in morning and afternoon and just kept riding my bike I was ok. Kept heart rate up above histamine.
Two weeks in June. But at the end I looked five years older. All
That adrenal action. Then a girlfriend wanted to do a G ceremony. That drug DJ liked 15 years ago. One that didn’t kill ya. The date rape drug ghb or something. In small dose it’s relaxing. It’s a weight lifter drug. We did it and she had me really believe this was it for allergies. From 2005 to 2022 my allergies went away. Amazing
Dr I have had swollen eyes for 10 months doc put me on 4 antihistamines a day is that safe it’s not even helping just started Mcas meds I’m losing the will to keep trying 20 docs later all telling me I’m to complicated and they don’t know what’s the matter so stop coming back to the GP specialist said I have angioedema and meds for that it’s not working I’m so ill I can’t function at 44 I’m truly over this fight
Make sure to check the links in description to find a local integrative doctor. Best of luck - Team Dr. A
@@dra_online I live in New Zealand not the US sadly

It's impossible not to love this man. He's doing the Lord's work, as they say. ;)
Thank you for the kind words and support!

He his just making money on UA-cam 😂
There’s nothing bad in making money in a honest way; all the more by helping other people in trouble
Tired of dealing with this
Take antihistamine..
Stop planting Mulberry trees! Stop planting male trees! 😂😂😂
I adore you, but I don't understand a thing you're saying. PLEASE, explain it like we're six years old.
Eliminate high histamine foods.
Take vit .B5 , B6 ,B1 and DAO to work on histamine metabolism pathways.
😂
I'd start with working on healing the gut. It takes time but it's worth it.
I would suggest doing a rudimentary reading of biology before watching some of these videos. No one here wants a recap of the things that are unclear to you. Instead of demanding him to reduce the knowledge ceiling, increase your floor.
@@ilevitatecs2dumb response, but I’m not surprised. There’s also a person like you policing comments.
I'm um... nearly being lifted off the ground, from apparent and inflammation, call the police AND ambulance, look at house,
Hoax!
Why do doctors always need to display their expertise with jargon, technical terms and other stuff that is deliberately over the head of the average person. Just tell us what to do right at the beginning and don't make us wait for the answer posed by the title of the video. Then at the end, put all the mumbo jumbo, if you really have to.
You don't seem to understand that you are competing with a million other youtubers who help people faster than you, and that when you are suffering, as indeed your audience is, they need answers quickly, and cannot afford to wade through fifty yt videos trying to find someone to help them.
Here's the short answer this video gives: 1: Don't bother looking at the list of allergic food as it contains fucking everything, although you may find something if you are lucky, or your diet is not varied. 2: Take vitamin b5 and also a histamine blocker supplement. 3: That's it. The rest of this video is a waste of time
Did you take b5 then
You’re not getting any views and clicks because you’re using very hard terminology for everyone to follow.
How long to deal with it 🥲
It never ends. It's chronic like having Diabetes. You take your meds, watch your diet and pray everyday it goes away 😔
