I've been into the build from the start and this is a great way to "catch up" on all the action. I would highly recommend watching the entire build as it is an awesome show of luthier and woodworking skills. Gotta say, though, I will be grateful when this project is done and the finished product is displayed. GREAT JOB, BEN! Stay awesome and keep making sawdust!
The project is done and the guitar's been strung up and played (by Ben) in the latest video. The only thing missing is the final episode where a professional plays it.
@@Viremia Not picking at nits, but I believe Ben said "This is the last episode. Er, no it's not." Could just be my addled old brain. And yes, the guitar is finished...

I've built some pretty complex display cases & fixtures for multiple stores, all over the world. The company I worked for.( Midwest Woodworking & fixture Corporation, So. IL. division II). Shut down and moved away for cheaper labor. In 1997. I loved working there! Some of the stores I built cash wraps & fixtures for were...... Famous bar, Lord & Taylor, The Body Shop, St Louis Science Center, JCPenney's, & many more, all around the world. You're guitar is just sick man! I love the complexity and work that you put into it! I realized over the years.... You will only be as good as your tools are, combined with your love & passion for wood working! You have shown people, If you love woodworking, it's not really work , anything is achievable! I can't wait to watch part II As this masterpiece comes to life!
Man what a true masterpiece. All the time and effort you put into this is remarkable. I was just scrolling through UA-cam and seen the thumbnail and thought to myself, "I gotta see this" and I'm glad I did. This is a true work of art and I'd love to see it in person. Not to mention that badass workshop. The amount of awesome machinery and hand tools would make Norm Abram from New Yankee Workshop jealous lol. Wow just wow. That's a carpenter's dream workshop. I'm a carpenter and I dont think I could ever come close to this amount of talent and patience. Phenomenal job buddy you just gained this new sub.
Firstly, this isn't as much an instrument as much as a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Secondly, it's amazing to see Ben work and the absolute joy that it brings him! If everyone enjoyed their job as much as Ben, the world would be a much better place!
It is almost obscene how much I really do enjoy it all, the perfect mix of making.. guitars and videos and building a business. I love it and wish everyone dis have a similar satisfaction in life!
I've never seen anything more amazing. Granted, I haven't seen everything... But... This is exquisite, artistic, skilled, and imaginative beyond words... Brilliant. 👌
I watched all the videos of this build - and I still enjoyed watching this one! And thanks, Ben, for the masking-tape-and-superglue trick - I use it all the time, now.
Wow. Esto realmente deberían de pagarte por ver. Debería de presentarse como una obra de teatro. Esto es un arte increíble. Es un placer cada segundo de tus vídeos. Queda uno anonadado. Eres grande.
What I appreciate the most about these videos is that when you push the boundaries of what was previously thought possible, the paradigms shift, and more people start to realize their own capabilities and potentials. Boundaries pushed by one man are soon rushed past by several.
To video editor: it would be waay awesome if each scene had the actual original episode name listed down in the bottom or top corner so if a person wanted to watch more of a particular part they would know exactly what episode to go to. Nicely done! The video and the complication!
Seeing all those hours of progress sped up makes it even more impressive to watch. I have enjoyed each and every episode on this build and I love this compilation. Can't wait for part 2!

As I said, I owe you an apology. When I started watching this build, I commented, stop while you're ahead! There is a beautiful guitar hiding under all the complicated bits! Thinking back to my own field of experience, custom motorcycles. Some of what I do is impractical, exercise in artistry. Done another way would be more rideable, but dose nothing to soothe my imagination. After viewing the impeccable craftsmanship of this instrument, as well as a couple others I was privileged to see, such as the double neck guitar that could actually be separated into two guitars. Bravo! Thanks for sharing the videos! By the way the neck is a sculpture in itself.

I do wood carvings as a hobby and find that intricate pieces come out clean and its a lot quicker.. I clean up and finish all my carvings using glass....Try on a piece of scrap first

My SICK ASS CUSTOM WOOD GUITAR
16:25 what are you doing here? what's the tape in the lengthwise direction doing? are you putting one up, one down? im confused
Hi, because Ben's using the masking tape and superglue trick to hold down the binding strips at the closest end, this cause the strips to be raised off the workbench a tiny amount. This would result in an angle being planned into each strip. So the lengthwise tape (two pieces together) is correcting the height of the pieces of binding.
