- Throwing a bunch of shots with the Roto-Grip Gem and the 900 Global Reality. I moved left throughout the entire video to see how each would respond. The shot is a house shot but was after a senior league so there was a lot of wet/dry. If you like what you see, hit the Subscribe button and maybe a like...that helps a ton.
Which ball is better for 2 handers
Just depends on what you are looking for. Gem is more heavy rolling and I think Reality is more versatile.
Great video. League is a 41’ pattern. I’m a low rev 14mph bowler. Which ball will be better for me? Gem or Reality Thx
Great video. I throw between the two three arrows pretty straight. Would the gem help me with back end hook?
You might want to go with a symmetrical Pearl for back end hook. The Gem is going to get started early and won’t have as much energy down lane. Maybe the new Revenant could be your answer
My god I wish I can bowl with the power and hook you have !! Good stuff and keep it up my man! 👍
Thank you! I appreciate the support!
Thanks for the great info on the GEM
Thanks for watching!
I have a Proton Physix and for some reason I don’t match up with it, so I’m thinking to replace it with either the Gem or Reality.
Both would be good choices. I think the Gem is a slight step up and the Reality is a slight step down. Maybe get with your PSO and figure out why the Proton didn’t match up. Is it layout or surface maybe?
@@slowwheelin3003 thanks for the reply William. I have tried several different variations of surface nothing seems to work. I’m trying to build my arsenal. I have an Altered Reality, Hustle Camo and love both those balls. I have a Phase 2 and I like it, but not my favorite. I think I just gravitate and match up better to pearl cover-stocks.
Great video Billy! Also great bowling in Fort Worth. I enjoyed talking and watching you bowl.
Thank you! I appreciate it! Hope to see you at the next one!
Found this page on accident. Loving the short and sweet style - I'm a fan.
I know it's probably difficult to say but for a fairly new bowler looking to grab a 3 ball league arsenal would you say one over the other?
I actually threw the Gem all weekend at a tourney and it’s a great ball for everyone. I would go with the Gem and then find something a step below that like a Nova. Lastly, maybe try a Pearl like a Wolverine or or maybe a UC2.
@@slowwheelin3003 great thank you! I started out with a Raw Hammer Solid and A Spare. But looking into other options like Nova as a find my game
Then I would suggest the Nova since you already have a solid. It’s a much weaker solid than the Gem but it’s still a solid
@@slowwheelin3003 Appreciate you for taking the time.
Will, you have alot of hook and these balls are hook monsters. I have Altered Reality, RST1 in high end. Then Phase II, Bonus Solid, Wolverine and Honey Badger Revival. Based on my arsenal what would be our option to fill the gap on my high end equipment? Thanks
I think you could go with a Gem or a Reality as you don’t have any big solids in your arsenal. The Phaze 2 is your biggest solid. I don’t think you can wrong with either choice to be honest. Get with your PSO and find a layout that works with your speed/rev rate and I’m sure you will love it!
@@slowwheelin3003 i am a medium speed med tilt and axis rotation. Need a traction ball so was in between 4 balls but learning towards Photon Physics or New Defender. All these balls roll earlier which is my only gap on med to heavier oil. Thanks Will for the reply.
What's the layout on the reality? Seems very continual through the pins
It’s 40x4.5x35. It’s a pretty strong layout that does provide the continuous motion through the pins.
Also what pattern were you rolling the balls on?
I bowled on a house shot that had been bowled on by senior league. It ends up being a little cliffed because of the seniors pushing oil down the middle.
Definitely on the fence. Was considering picking up the Gem because of the early dig and pick up on oily fresh lanes. But after seeing some reviews, I'm noticing some have been experiencing lack of back end pop...which I kinda need. Lol. Do you experience any of that? If so, suggest any alternative balls?
Depends on layout and surface. Out of the box you are definitely going to have early dig but if you play in the oil, you should have continuous back end reaction. Maybe go with a layout with a taller pin to help it get down the lane and save some energy for the back and/or take the surface to 3000. If you want to go down just a step, I would suggest the Storm Nova as a very viable alternative. Thank you for watching!
