900 Global Origin vs 900 Global Harsh Reality Pearl

Compared the two and the Origin looks pretty good! Both were hit at 3000 before shooting. Specs on the Origin: Hybrid Asymmetric with the Power Edge Finish and the Ellipse A.I. Core. RG is 2.48, Diff is .050, and PSA is .020. Mine is drilled pin down. Comments or questions below!

It's a symmetric pearl with the Reactor Pearl Cover with the Circuit Core With the 2.51 RG, I expect it to roll slightly earlier than a traditional pearl and be very strong on the back but not as strong as some with higher RG's and/or bigger cores. It's a asymmetric pearl with the Microtrax Pearl Cover with the Defiant LRG Core With the 2.47 RG, I expect it to roll earlier than a traditional pearl and be very continuous on the back end with the bigger core. 900 Global Zen U Review

Reviewing the 900 Global Zen U! Definitely one of the strongest urethane balls on the market. My layout is 4.5x2.5x1 5/8 or dual angle is 40x4.5x25. Ball launch speed is 19.1 mph and rev rate is 480-495ish. Ball is a game changer for SPI. It will be available November 18th! Drilled up my Storm Phaze 5 40x5 1/4x45. With the amount of hook down here in Texas, I am trying a little longer Pin to PAP in hopes to get a little more length while hoping it doesn't boomerang on the back. Ball comes out October 21st! Let's see what happens!

Good video. Is this new Origin ball suitable for a low rev bowler?
It's a ball that's intended to hook, so on paper, yes. As far as my recommendation, if you are balanced (slower speed and lower rev rate) then you can keep the polish on it to clear the fronts but if you are more speed dominant I would suggest doing like he did in the video and adding a little surface as it is quite clean out of box.

Attention star is going to be cleaner through the front and midlane and have much more downlane reaction. DNA coil will be closer but slightly weaker. Coil is a step down from the Harsh Pearl

Which ball is better for 2 handers
Just depends on what you are looking for. Gem is more heavy rolling and I think Reality is more versatile.
What’s the layout on that Gem? I’m a two handed lefty with about 500 rev rate and am wondering what 2LS layout I should go with for it… I’m thinking 4.5 x 4 x 4 2LS, which is a 4.5 inch pin to pap distance if you aren’t familiar with 2LS. I’m planning on using it pretty much exclusively as a sport shot control ball on medium and shorter patterns.
That’s not a bad idea. Mine is a 4.5 pin to pap as well. I use dual angle and it’s 40x 4.5x 40
@@slowwheelin3003 thanks for the quick response… love the channel btw. You might be the only ball reviewer with the same revs and speed as me, only difference being that I’m lefty and two handed. So I’ll definitely be watching all your reviews and might have some more questions for you as I build my sport shot arsenal. I just got back from nationals in Reno and realized all my bowling balls except my idol Helios were too sharp for medium sport shots especially with all the shape on the left side. Realized I need all really smooth controllable balls on medium (and of course shorter) patterns especially being a lefty two hander..

How do you feel about the Super Nova vs the reality? Some people have issues with the supernova and others. Love it! Maybe cool to see it compared to a reality or something along those lines
Super Nova is stronger than the Reality for me. Earlier and smoother
@@slowwheelin3003 I have trouble in a house shot keeping the reality from going. Brooklyn. Thumb issues pushed me away from one hand to two-handed and as a result I have a little bit more hook and a little bit less ball speed. Thanks for the reply
What's your opinion of the reality check compared to the infinite physix? You know like which one do you have to slow down more hook in the lane to still hit the pocket? Does either of them require less friction to react? I saw on televised bowling tournaments they rate the reality check as stronger but I don't always agree with their numbers
The Reality Check is a little earlier and slower off the back of the pattern. I think if you are looking for more control, go with the Reality Check. If you are higher risk/reward, then go with the infinite. Having said that, the Infinite is one of my favorite balls. For a Pearl, it’s definitely a little rounder and controllable. The Check is just more controllable

I’ve never actually owned one. I hadn’t had much success with Belmo balls until the Fate

wow that phaze 2 really Is the GOAT, how would you compared the dna to the Proton Physix? I have the proton and want my next ball to be the phaze 2, the dna or the nova (I only own 2 balls)
The DNA is weaker to me than the Proton PhysiX. The Nova will have the weakest cover of them all and then the Phaze 2 and then the DNA.

Wow! Is the Phaze II really that strong? I guess it's a weaker cover than r DNA. That's why it has so much shape but I've just surprised that you had to get so left with it and it was so round in its motion!
Yeah, the lane I was on was hooking a bit but I was five boards left with the Phaze 2 compared to the DNA. Cover definitely a bit weaker and it really came off the spot

You might want to go with a symmetrical Pearl for back end hook. The Gem is going to get started early and won’t have as much energy down lane. Maybe the new Revenant could be your answer

What kind of thumb position are you using? Almost looks like a Collier grip.
My thumb is 3/16 to the left and 5/16 reverse. It does go all the way in, I just happen to clear it fast
@@slowwheelin3003 that sounds similar to the Collier aka tri-grip, which is usually 3/8" left. I must try that.
My thumb is 3/4" left, but I think I need more than 1/8" pitch. He's working on it now.
