Glad to see you showing the low-rev striker style reactions. It would be great if you could incorporate this into all of your ball reviews along with your usual style.
I think predictability is the biggest thing that makes a good ball, with versatility a strong second. Knowing how the ball will react on a given pattern with a particular release and angle will allow a bowler to adjust to changing lane conditions more easily. Being able to throw form different parts of the lane or with different releases is certainly a benefit, but you need to be confident that the particular lane position and release you select will result in the ball motion you want.
A good bowling ball is a ball that you know 100% what it is going to do at all times and on all conditions. It may not be the best ball for all situations, but you never have to guess with it.
A good bowling ball is one that is controllable, something i can keep my angles shut with, but also slow down and really hit to to get it around the corner when i need too
Congrats Jungo for the Team Canada win! Thanks for this comparison video. I am looking for a strong asymm ball for the top of my bag. This video was a real Gem...getting strikes with these balls look as easy as Pi. Lol
Imo a good ball is a ball that can be used with any angle. For example, the Idol Cosmos. But any ball can be good depending on what you bowl on, and vice versa
Luke Rosdahl said it well: A great ball can be really REALLY really good at one thing, or it can be a versatile ball. I like whatever ball I think looks the coolest (to my eye) and works on house shot conditions!
I love versatility. However I'm basing that off of my current (main) ball the Venom Shock. I've been throwing it for a long time now. It's lane shined up. I can throw it all night in league. I start right and move left throughout the night. I know exactly what it will do based on where I'm standing and my hand position. So I guess my answer is versatility and predictability! lol
Since this is a 2-part pearl, 1-part solid, how does it compare to the other Roto Grip lineups with the same composition like the RST X-3 and the new TNT Infused. Would be interesting to see a video comparing them with the same surface finish.
I think a good bowling ball is the ones that work well for the most amount of people. Seems like some balls are not received as well as others and I'd say the good ones generally are the ones that work for the most folks.
Depends on the type of bowler you are. If you have a nice arsenal you may not want or need versatility because you have other options for it. Also you can’t expect a bowler that isn’t versatile to be able to throw different types of shots. We all see it too often when people don’t know how to make physical adjustments. So for me it might be predictability. If I know what reaction to except I’m better equipped to adjust to the lanes.
A good ball is predictable, but a great ball is predictable across different parts of the lane. So far, my RotoGrip Duo is that ball, but it works best in the transition slot of my bag, so I need something similar for the top of the bag. I think Magic Gem would be a great candidate. Microtrax Hybrid Asymm.
Hi JR pro shop, just wondering do you guys ever drill These type of asymmetrical balls with a short pin layout for lane conditions that are more medium dry? would this be a good idea? or do you just throw weaker equipment for that kind of condition?

No offense to Jungo, but I was hoping Simoo would review this one. You know, for us mere mortals.
Lmao. Yeah i wish i can throw like jungo. Need his revs for my league especially the fresh😂
I love the way the Eternity Pi was rolling in this video. Good stuff!

Nice review Jungo and congrats on the championship in Kuwait! My definition of a good ball is consistent predictability.

Vesitility and longevity. I am still throwing a hyper cell fused and it is still carrying well for me

Seems like Magic gem doesn't retain as much energy as pi despite similar hook strength, gem seems to be soft while pi hits like a truck, true?

not so much for medium to dry but for short patterns yes. it'll get into a roll much earlier and be smoother
My favorite ball is the one that strikes lol
I am looking for a consistent run. League bowling, 1 Ball that will go the entire night.
Versatility.
6:45 just b*lls lol
Strikes = ball good
Versatility For me
what ever look like i have 800 rpms
I come down on predictably side.
1. Versatility 2. Predictability 3.Color 😂
Performance is nothing without control.......
