  • Part 1: QA1 Level 3 handling kit INSTALL 👉 3rd gen Camaro.
    Very user-friendly install. Watch me unprage my rear coil overs + trailing arm relocation + box trailing arms + torque arm + rear sway bar.
    I can't wait to see the performance gains I get from these! How much do you think this will improve the 3rd gen's response times? Let's get this going so we can get closer to finding out...
    Also, big thanks to QA1 for working with me on this build.

    It ain’t crusty that bothers me that you would say that I have a 1982 Z28 Camaro it’s red and bad ass with a built motor cammed and headers etc and it ain’t perfect underneath it but it’s not crusty either I want to upgrade the suspension and the brakes but I just spent 15 thousand bucks on getting the motor done and im tapped out right now

    Is this for street upgrades
    Or like drag racing curious I just got a 3rd gen pulled the old v6 out going with a 350 and trying do all the upgrades I can before I drop the 350 in and I’m half way through all my interior changing so about time to work on my suspension

      Very cool and great qustion. This setup is for autocross and a great street car seat up as well. If you are planning on more of a street car I would go with a little bit of a litter spring
      Weight. I will be making some videos in the future talking about spring weights so stay tuned.

    Why did you mount the torque arm back to the tailshaft of the trans and not to the body???

    • @built2beat38
      @built2beat38  6 місяців тому +1

      Its mounted in the factory location. What year do you have? I like the sound of a boddy mount over the trans mount.

      A lot of replacement transmission crossmembers will move the arm mount to the cross member.

    I stopped the video as soon as I saw rear Drum brakes ...now I would do a disc brake conversion first ..then worry about the suspension...sorry seeing the drum brakes is a turn-off

      Its all good. Thanks for watching. And the handling was a lot worse than the braking. It has disc breaks now and full 4th gen master and boosters. Videos are coming soon..

    I have the same rust finish on top of the roof. Although yours in in the garage my project is outside. What would you recommend for thr upcoming fall winter coming? I was thinking hand sanding to a smoother finish and protecting the rust spots with POR15 or a cheap primer. Im no body man but need direction. All my rear suspension is BMI, QA1, Bilstein ft Konis rear etc. Great video sir.

      Thanks for watching. And I'm a fan of DP90 epoxy primer. It's ont cheap but it works well especially if it out in the weather. But eastwood allso has some good affordable epoxy primers.
